Great Hotel, best price, good location”
The hotel was great for the paid price, most of the staff doesn't speak English, they didn't have non-smoking room, the shower was leaking, the safety box was broken but they tried to fixed unsuccessfully due to a barrier of the language. The breakfast was expensive considering what they had to offer.
Hotel bem localizado e acomodações satisfatórias.”
Para o meu interesse, contatos com amigos e algumas compras, atendeu plenamente em termos de conforto e atendimento.
Dirtiest Hotel in Shanghai”
1. If you walk in to the toilet, your foot will turn black. 2. There is a band-aid stick on the toilet door frame. 3. Temperature of the central aircon cannot be adjusted, it is so hot and I called the front desk. They send me a technician to tell me that is not adjustable. Moreover, the aircon is keep on on and off whole night.
Room 3633 is unacceptable ”
I can’t say about other rooms but the one I had was dated, stained sinks, stained toilet seats, had unreliable water pressure for showers and kinda stank abit. I ended up only staying there 2 nights out of the planned 8nights. I originally booked there as it was close to a venue I was going there for but obviously couldn’t tough it out. The upside I had was the staff did try to help me out with getting taxis and getting my postal train tickets and check in and out process was relatively easy. So end caution is be ready if you get room 3633 in building 2C, most likely you will ask for a room change but that communication barrier was a hassle for me so I just booked elsewhere.
Great value for money”
I was here for the Shanghai Masters tennis tournament, but I didn't want to stay out all the way in Minhang (which is a bit removed from the city). The Rayfront Hotel was perfect: great location to the line 9 Dapuqiao station, which has many eating places in the station and a shopping area. The hotel was good: comfortable bed, clean room, good WiFi, good bathroom with hot shower that had great pressure. Just to let you know they do require a 200 RMB deposit, but it is returnable at the end of your stay if you return the ticket that they give. This is the second time I've stayed at Rayfront Hotel, and I will do so again.
Room was standard although building a high rise block. Lined up to check out long. When turn game the woman briskly just walked out . Hardly good service. Hotel extremely Chinese. One toilet on ground floor and was blocked and filly. Booked it as on 50 percent rate but actually was not worth that rate I paid.
The location is superb, it is just 10 minutes walk to the subway. It is near to xujiahui stop, which is good as it is a prime shopping area there.
Room are really nice, High rise building but hard to find the hotel”
Room is very nice, provided basic need of hotels. Staff are nice and helpful. But only things it is hard to find the hotel because the front of hotel is dark and label is blackouts that surrounded by a lot of condo.
Value for money and location”
Good location because it is near Jiashan metro Station Line 12 and 9. 1 station away to South Shaanxi Road where you can shop, dine and even party at night at Huaihai Road area. The room is spacious that gives you a good hotel room experience. There's also a near shopping mall name Sun Light Moon Center.
Valuefor Money and Good Location”
Good location because it is walking distance to Jiashan Metro Station Line 12 and 9. The room is spacious that gives you a good hotel experience. I just notice that during my 5 days stay in the hotel the balcony is a bit dirty and full of dust.
Comfortable, clean, cheap”
So far in all my trips in China, this Hotel is the best especially with the price that I got. Very clean and big room. Downside is they have no internet and credit card only accepts certain type of card.
Good Hotel, Good Price... but Beware”
Nice hotel and good price. Close to the metro station. Internet access is not free (you have to pay) and the advertised pool was closed... they also said there is a sauna available, but we couldn't find it. The pool is in a separate building which requires a 5 minute walk. The room and shower is nice.
great value, location”
This is our third stay and we have previously written about this hotel. it's a good value hotel with a terrible restaurant and great cafe. Across the street from the metro and lots of dining options. The staff were excellent.
Good value & close to metro”
All in all a good hotel for the price, you may get a room in a side building but the rooms are ok if a little small. Not bad for the price and a metro station is only 5 mins away. All in all good value for money.
Not a 4 star hotel/ Not value for money ”
Reception very rude, not helpful,do not have suitable facility for handicapped person, room bed sheet, pillow sheet not clean up eventhough there are room services every day. Have bad impression on this hotel services since day 1. We have stayed there for 4 days.
good for quick trip ”
hotel was ok but not great, room was nice but small. they do service also ok but their heater wasn't working good and I had to wear my sweater in the room. but the only good thing is location which central and near place most tourist or foreigner would go to , along with restaurant and subway stations
Its good hotel , mattress and other facility . cleanliness was good. Only thing is about the quality of toiletaries its avg low quality. No body lotion was provideed in winter .
Clean, nice, great value”
This hotel was a great value and excellent location. Short walk to 2 different metro stops, and walkable to Tianzifang. The hotel was very clean, rooms spacious, comfortable beds, and updated bathrooms. Not a particularly modern or luxurious hotel, but still great for the price. The wifi was awful though.
Aircon not functioning during spring time. Wth?!?”
The hotel turn of the main aircon for the whole building. So there was no aircon during my stay. And there was nothing that they can do about that! Thus i have to open windows to get some fresh air. IT IS NOT LIKE STAYING IN A HOTEL!! Staffs are not helpful at all. WON'T COME BACK HERE!! NOT RECOMMENDED!
Location is everything, and this place has the location”
I’m a business traveler and have stayed in much nicer places, but this is the absolute perfect location. I stay here almost every time I’m in Shanghai. The rooms are not great (some even have mold on the ceiling!...), but the sheets are clean and I know what I’m getting. If you’re a picky traveler (or with your wife), don’t stay at this one. But it’s definitely worth a shot if you can roll with the punches.
