Very ridiculous experience in surfview”

I booked 2 rooms in this hotel on Agoda, but when I go to check in, they have only one room, and this one room not ready at 23:00, it's ridiculous, and hard to cancel the order on Agoda, have to give up and find another hotel, it's a bloody ridiculous hotel.

Warmth and pleasant service”

The staffs have made the service as 5 stars hotel. Never feel like staying in 3 stars hotel. Really enjoy the hospitality and immediate response by the workers. Keep up the good work. Worth the money!!

Very convenient ”

I stayed with my fiancé for 2 weeks. And will be staying again next week for another 2 weeks before flying back to london. The hotel is very convenient to go around. The staf are very helpful and very friendly too. The late shift lady in the reception was very welcoming on our arrival and also gave us complimentary late checkout till 17:00 as our flight was late at night. Much appriciated. Thank you very much for you warm hospitality 😊

small room”

The hotel was difficult to find for it was quite small and near a curved road. One room in the coner had a surf view, the other room was so small with a road view. Breakfast was toasted and eggs , hotdogs and mango juice. We asked to eat in cafe area in the lobby because our rooms were so small. They forced us to eat in our rooms. If you want easy breakfast and be forced to eat in your room, stay here. If you want a better treatment , stay somewhere else. Male is not a nice city to stay in Maldives. Next time we will avoid this place.

Good hotel with the best location in this price range (by the sea, relatively of space, close to the port, close swimming place and sea promenade). Clean and tidy. Next door is a stadium which might be quite noisy, as well the street (like everywhere at Male). Sandy beach and good swimming place is located at the other end of the island (NB No swimming suits allowed on the all island!) Breakfast is OK, not rich. Pictures and description of the booked room on the agoda.com and booking.com webpages does not match with the reality. There were missing sitting area and balcony, as well ironing facilities. Shower did not have a curtain and was not isolated from the rest of the room, so everything got wet and usage of the room was quite unpleasant.

Will not stay here again”

The hotel is quite rundown, room fascilities seems to be like in the 90s, television reception quality is quite bad, feels like watching movies back in the early 90s. Toilet fasciilities were quite old fashion too. Hotel staffs that were in orange polo tee did not seem to understand english well. Only the man and lady receptionist that were in formal wear is much more professional with good hospitality. Hotel stairway were not well litted.

I asked to cancel the booking (so that I can get my refund as the booking was fully paid) they said they cant. Please refund my money. Thank you.

The WiFi was very bad every time got to login in and gets disconnected. Room was comfortable but the blanket was small for couples !!!/‘f a lot of TV Chanel’s which was excellent. Location was good as Male is small island

Not what I expected”

Location is ok. Facilities and amenities are disappointing. AC is not cooling. TV worked for just 3 hours. Reported thrice. Staff checked twice in the room and they will always say TV will work after 30 minutes but it didn't. Will not give you update nor call you if it's working. I just gave up cause the whole time it wasn't working. Have free breakfast but they wouldn't call you for it. Towels and duvet have stains. No blackout drape/curtains. Staff are ok.

Good enough for a five nights stay”

Staffs are nice, bed is comfortable enough. Many choices for tv channels. Suggestion would be provide guest with the wifi password based on their length of stay instead of we need to ask for it everyday as there is an expiry period for the password

Affordable business ”

I have stayed in Male many times and have tried many hotels on the island. In this price range there is really no competition. Surf view offers a significant step up from all similar price competitors. The rooms are small, but well appointed, and comfortably serve their purpose. Staff has been amazing, and willing to go out of their way to help with any needs you have. For the price range you will not get better service in Male.

The rooms are old and most of the times the cable television is not working. The staff is okay.
