The location is great near Victoria bus and train station. Don't expect much sleep in the 24 bed dorm as many distractions throughout the night. It would also be nice to have a toaster for breakfast as bread and jam is a little bland.

The hostel on top of the pub is only 5 minutes walk from Victoria bus and train station so it's perfect if you have an early bus or train. The burgers are fantastic and the hostel is very clean. There is however a lack of a common area except for the pub itself.

Hostel inside the pub - no lift”

If you are bringing a heavy luggage, it would be difficult to bring it upstairs as there are no lift in the establishment. The toilets and showers are very limited compared to the number of beds. When I was there, there was a time where there's a queue in the toilet and the shower. The breakfast is alright. Location is very near Victoria station, only walking distance. So if you just need to have a quick sleep before departing from the station, this place is good for you.

Nice hostel for 1 day stay ”

Was in 24 bed dorm, got 3rd floor bunk bed. Bed is not strong enough. at the morning, when i try to get down from the bed, 2 of the bed frame broke down and fall on the guy who was sleeping at the 2nd floor. Lucky he didnt get injured. The frame made from soft wood. After that, i check some of the bed nearby , most of the frame are waiting to be broken. After that i could not countinue sleeping. Just get down for breakfast and check out. Hostel no kitchen, but expected atleast a microwave to heat a foot. Other than that everything was perfect.

Pros: walking distance to many tourists sights, clean, above pub where the mac and cheese is excellent, staff was amazing, luggage storage, wifi, free breakfast, right around the corner from laundry, great security (you need a code to get in the hostel entrance and the dorm rooms). Cons: small locker storage, tripple bunks are a bit dodgy, maybe time for some new ones.

New hostel with a few teething troubles but largely superior-quality”

Apparently, this was a new hostel - I happened to arrive on its first day of operation. As such, furniture, fittings, toilets, showers, signage etc were virtually brand-new, though obviously they will wear down as time passes. Check-in was not available at the stated time on the first day: guests could have been warned by email. Staff were civil and, in some cases, slightly posh. Breakfast starts at 9 am (inconveniently late for some) and was atypically 'proper' by hostel standards - cooked sausage, mushroom, beans etc, rather than the usual spartan cereal and toast - albeit in smallish servings and only including coffee on one day. 'Free'/included coffee would be a nice touch and go a long way. Location is semi-secluded but relatively central, near Victoria/Chelsea. Guests held the obligatory inconsiderate loud nocturnal hostel conversations while dormitory-sharers were trying to sleep, but this is not staff's fault. Cleaning shower rooms could have been timed after the morning peak.

Nice Charming Appearance from the outside, but tiny and dirty rooms on the inside.”

My gf and I stayed here for 2 nights in Aug 2018. The staff are very friendly and accommodating here, printed football match tickets for us without any fee. The hostel is located around 7 mins walk from Victoria Coach Station. Breakfast is provided coffee, tea, plain bread with jam or butter. self service. Toilets and Bathrooms are cleaned regularly, but somehow it still feel really dirty. It's a tiny building with a lot of beds, i believe cleaning can't keep up. We stayed in a 9 bunk bed room, and the room is really tiny. you barely have space to put your bags down. expect no privacy in the room. it is a lot pricier here too. i went on to stayed in another hostel for 2 nights, for 4x cheaper price, much bigger common space, privacy in the bed (curtain blinds), and much cleaner and newer bathroom and toilets. so i would say, despite the friendly staff here, i would not be coming back here for another stay.

Love the concept where there's a cafe/bar as part of the hostel. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and nice, and it's within close proximity to the Victoria Train station (which connects to many places including a direct Gatwick Express train service). The bed is comfortable and toilets are clean and functional, i would come back and stay here again someday when i come back!

No more than one night. Good location though”

If are thinking to stay more than one night please choose another hostel. this one doesn't has kitchen/laundry facilities. London is quite expensive, so you can't eat every time out. the only thing good about this hostel is the location. Near to Victoria station if you want to go to Heathrow airport. Another good thing is the shower on second floor, really hot, it was look like I was preparing myself to go to hell :-). I don't know why people said in the comments that the cleaning was good, but it was in reality, HORRIBLE. And the place was smelling like grease. I'm glad they didn't have carpet in the rooms.

Pros: Really convenient to Victoria Coach Station Lockers can be locked with your own lock Bus stop right outside Showers are hot and completely enclosed Cons: No kitchen facilities at all Lockers are small No power points if you're on the middle/top bunks I'd stay here again, but only for one night stays where I'm not planning to cook.

I've been in the 21 dormitory room... well.. missing deffo the bed curtain to have little bit of privacy/darkness while you sleep and the other guest are doing their business with the light on at 3 am.. room pretty clean, floor super dirty but ok, bed comfortable and cozy. Toilets great considering the large amount of guests are using them. Breakfast free but it's only hot water, bread and cereals. No jam but just butter for bread.

    Good hostel close to sights”

Location was superb, staff was friendly and helpful, food in the pub was very good. Rooms are clean, with door locks and lockers for your gear while out for the day, which is always nice when backpacking. Shared toilets were in decent shape and cleaned daily, but if you're not used to converted old buildings, might seem rough. Plenty of hot water for the showers. All in all, a good place to stay if you're looking for a hostel in the heart of London, and the price is hard to beat. I hope to return before long.

Great location, great way to know more people”

    Decent hostel”

Nice enough hostel. Fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful, though not always easy to pin down.

    Good place great price”

Very close to Victoria Train and Coach Station (10-min walk), great price for solo travellers. The room and beds are clean, although three-level bed is very inconvenient. The toilet is very clean too. The pub downstair is very cool and good to socialise. :)

    it's ok ”

I've been in the 21 dormitory room... well.. missing deffo the bed curtain to have little bit of privacy/darkness while you sleep and the other guest are doing their business with the light on at 3 am.. room pretty clean, floor super dirty but ok, bed comfortable and cozy. Toilets great considering the large amount of guests are using them. Breakfast free but it's only hot water, bread and cereals. No jam but just butter for bread.

Good location and value of money ”

The location is close to Victoria and the price is good as compared to other in the same area. But three stories bunk bed could be difficult for some people.. I got the second and it was uncomfortable when I have to sit on my bed as the space is too short.
