Still good but not good enough!
Due to the flight delay and by the time I got to the hotel, it was almost 2:00AM. I was told that they had given my room away even when I had already paid for it, and I either had to down grade to room with smaller bed or upgrade to a bigger room. Decided to upgrade and paid almost $200 extra per night. I had stayed in the same upgraded room about 11 years ago when the hotel had just completed that new wing. Well, 11 years was a long time and the room had that moldy smell in there, which was common for many hotels in Asia due to the high humidity in the region. The worst part was that Japanese restaurant on the first floor. The fishes were so unfresh that I had to visit the restroom perhaps 6 to 7 times throughout the night. What a nightmare!

Overpriced Different than other Shangri-La's
1) Indian Vegetarian is available in the Buffet Lunch at Cafe. 2) Good Room View's 3) Accessible Electrical points where Most needed
Normally, you at a Welcome Drink and some Fruit Platter in other Shangri-La's (Beijing for Eg.) However, Nothing Pudong Shangri-La Offers. The toiletries were unbranded unlike others. They dont understand the word "Hair Oil" and couldnt provide one. There is a serious language issue while ordering Room Service or any other service. This is really tough.
