This luxury hotel prides itself as being a 5-star city resort in the heart of Putrajaya, Malaysia’s garden city. The running theme at the PULSE GRANDE Hotel (formerly known as Putrajaya Shangri-La Hotel) is, unsurprisingly, that of nature. This is well reflected in the park surrounding the hotel, the many tropical plants carefully placed in the hotel, and the landscaped patios attached to the guestrooms. Its proximity to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport makes it an ideal location, especially for business travelers on a short stopover or conducting business in the nearby Federal Government Administrative capital and Cyberjaya, the Silicon Valley of Malaysia. All guestrooms and suites are tastefully decorated and command breathtaking views of the entire city. Whatever your purpose of visit, PULSE GRANDE Hotel is an excellent choice for your stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Exceptional Service and Stay”
It was a beyond expectation staycation I had at Pulse Grande. It was merely a short gateway due to the long public holidays. However to my surprise, Putrajaya has such a nice place not only for a break, yet good for businesses and family gatherings as well. What I love most is that it is being surrounded by nature and greens. Hardly you can find Hotel which is full of friendly staffs as well. Definitely like another home to me rather than merely a stay. Not forgetting to highlight the traditional Malay massage, it’s a must try if you happen to be staying at Pulse Grande or visiting nearby. Will definitely come back again with my family members.
I frequent visit Putrajaya but this is my first time staying here. Love the room so much. I was given room #319 from a dedicated and friendly frontline person. Will definitely stay at Pulse Grande Hotel again... I havent got much time to look around the hotel, but the room and swimming pool are pretty cool. I hope to get the same room when I book at the hotel infuture.
More than expected!”
I booked a night (park view) for my anniversary celebration 14-15July2018. After reading all the review, im expecting an old shang ri la building with some downgrade in the services ,facilities and all. However, they proved me wrong! (as iv read all the review from booking& agoda) My check in was smooth. They upgraded my room to hill view top floor without addinng any penny. I requested for simple romantic touch for my anniversary, yet they make it look so romantic. Anniversary cake , fruits was provided as well. The room was spacious and clean. I can clearly see Perdana Putra just from my balcony. The facilities were at tip top condition. The staffs were friendly and helpful. I had a good breakfast there. Variety selection for breakfast ( Asian, continental), we came at 9am the foods still plenty. Not at once the buffet table was empty as breakfast starts at 7.30am, no such food-not re-filled. Personally i recommend the Croissant and rendang ayam . Its so delicious like its a homemade. Superb! In the morning we went for a walk around the hotel, it was very calm and relaxing to be surrounded by flowers and trees. They maintained the surrounding clean and tidy. Thankfully no mosquitoe in our room. Parking area is 50m from the entrance, have no worry a hotel buggy will always standby to pick u up. They even insisting to help put our luggage into my car. Overall, i had to say thank you Grand Pulse Hotel for making my stay memorable. Its our 2nd anniversary celebration , but 1st time not bringing our child together for the celebration. We enjoyed our stay so much. You guys prove me wrong ! Keep it up with good services!
GREAT VIEW, SUPERB TREATMENT”
We had memorable stay here . Pros : 1. Staff was very friendly especially the valet guy and male receptionist. He tries to cater to our request despite the female one denied our request for king bed eventhough we already stated clearly in our booking to get large bed instead of twin bed 2. Room was nice and felt luxurious 3. Facilities is top notch Cons : 1. Got liquor inside the fridge 2. Room a little bit small 3. A bit difficult to find the hotel. I think the hotel was previously named Shangrila instead of pulse grande Otherwise, definately recomended this hotel
Dear Muhammad, Greetings from Pulse Grande Hotel, Putrajaya ! Thank you for staying with us and taking time to share your review of our property. Good hotel for staycation”
Pulse Grande is situated next to the Istana Melawati and previously known as Shang-ri La Putrajaya. The hotel offers spacious room and comfortable bed. It is suitable for family with young kids. The saltwater pool is something unique in Malaysia and with the price offered, it is recommended for the locals to stay at the hotel and explore putrajaya. IOI City Mall is 15 minutes drive away from the hotel.
Great stay off from the busyness of work”
I spend my weekend here at Pulse Grande Putrajaya, which not too far from my house. This is part of our activities to break the routine. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and great hotel environment amidst RMCO and recovery from Covid-19 disease. Thank you for the warm hospitality.
5 Star experience within your budget”
Eveything is good, from the room, bathroom, facilities, location and views, food, and most importantly the price. I was shocked to get a deal via Agoda for RM200+ per night here, including breakfast for 2. overall, it was very relaxing, and good experience. I highly recommend Pulse Grande to other couples looking for a relaxing getaway but within budget.
Nice ambient environment, friendly staff”
Enjoy our stay at Pulse Grande Hotel due to its nice and relaxing atmosphere, perfect to unwind on a weekend. Our room is adjacent to swimming pool and my son love it. Our room is a decent size with comfy pillow and mattress. Breakfast selection was fair and taste was ok. Overall, really enjoyed our stay
excellent short getaway at a quiet peaceful place”
We had opt to stay at Shangri La Putrajaya instead of KL hotels due to an event that I had to attend around the area. Was not sure of how convenient the hotel is to amenities but we were quite happy with our choice. Our arrival was welcome by Ms Fetri, whom was so nice to answer to our queries as she processed our check in. Upon checking in, the room is spacious, there is fresh flowers in small vases that gave the room a better touch than other hotels we had stayed in before. Love the spacious bathroom too! Cable tv with many channel options. The park view deluxe room we had offered clear views of Putrajaya from a distance with certain landmarks could be seen. Complimentary in-room wifi and cabled internet. Overall, one doesnt have to worry about internet connection if you are staying here. Good wifi from room to reception to f&b, as well as their shuttle service ;) Breakfast spread offered a nice variety and nice pool for those whom are interested. Excellent service by Ms Mariam whom we manage to contact about our reservations for her friendliness and prompt replies over calls and emails. Mr Sven and Mr Billah Kamal for their swift actions over feedback about room service. We look forward to return again ;)
Very confortable and relaxing hotel”
we chose this hotel because we had a stopover in kl, and putrajaya is relatively close to the airport (around 30 minutes). considering that putrajaya is not a touristic location, the room price is significantly cheaper than five star hotels in kl or in touristic areas. the room was spacious and confortable, but considering that it is a shangri-la, there is room for improvement as regards the aesthetics/quality of the furniture and the bathroom elements: it does not give you the feeling of luxury associated with the brand. the hotel is located in a relaxing green area, and it has a very nice infinity pool with some jacuzzis overlooking putrajaya. we indulged in the lunch buffet, which was very good and varied, and reasonably priced. on the way back to the airport we took the confortable hotel limo, which was also relatively inexpensive. this is a nice place to stay if you have a flyover, if you're doing business in kl/putrajaya, and even if you are planning on visiting kl and enjoy the amenities of a five star hotel for a cheaper price.
BEST (ESCAPE) HOTEL IN PUTRAJAYA”
Price: Reasonable. I paid for RM218 for 1 night on Monday. It just opens after RMCO so there were not many guests during that day. (BREAKFAST INCLUDED) Room: PERFECT. (Deluxe Hill View) There was a King bed, a bathtub, and a lot of stuff provided in the hotel. I have a great night there. Facilities: The facilities there were still under supervision especially the pool. Social Distancing a must there. We even have to pre-order out breakfast choice (which you can go western or local) The food was delicious and much friendly staff ready to assist you anytime. LARGE PARKING SPACE IS PROVIDED. There is also a Putrajaya Park across the hotel which you can take your family and jogging. Best experience in Putrajaya. Highly recommended.
A nice experience, although short”
This is a good place for my transit back home as I don't want to travel all the way to the Centre of Kuala Lumpur for one night stay. The airport transit or taxi can bring you to Putrajaya within 30 minutes so the time was saved. The hotel is very comfortable and it was a pity that we did not have time to enjoy the pool and 24 hours gym. The shuttle can bring guests to the Amandala shopping centre. I got what I needed for a relaxing stay.
Wonderful hotel, wonderful service”
We stayed for just one night. The management was concerned we wouldn't have much room if we had them put an extra bed in for our girls so upgraded us to a family suite - no additional charge. The suite wasn't ready yet so they checked us into our original room. It was very nicely decorated and probably would have been fine, especially for one night. However we loved having the additional space the suite provided. The room was lovely and very comfortable. Since our room wasn't ready yet one of the the front desk staff helped arrange our trip to the KL Bird Park which was a wonderful experience for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the aviary and had our dinner there. We had lunch and breakfast at the hotel and both buffets were lovely. We all found plenty of things to eat and tried some new dishes as well. We had time the morning of our flight out and so walked down the Putrajaya Botanical Garden. We could have spent hours more exploring the area. If we were ever to stay in Putrajaya again this would be on my list of places to return. All the staff that we had contact with were wonderful and worked hard to make sure we were satisfied.
stylish room overlooking putrajaya city”
You arrive at your stylish room, soothed by the path you took through verdant trees and bright flowers. Each room of this charming hotel in Putrajaya has a unique nature theme subtly etched into the room accents. You walk out onto your private terrace and are delighted to find a serene view of a park and the city. The room is comfortable you’d be content to stay in here your whole trip, but you tell yourself there’s much to explore in Putrajaya. You head out to Putrajaya Lake, where you enjoy bird-watching. You are delighted to spot the brightly coloured Little Egrets, Cinnamon Bittern and Little Green Herons.
Excellent stay in Putrajaya”
It was a brief but very comfortable stay in Putrajaya. I appreciate the shuttle service very much, although this hotel is already the nearest to the tourist attractions. Upon my arrival, the staff was very helpful. The room's well-equipped (with welcome food treats for the holiday! Five stars for that.) and the amenities are nice. Wi-Fi in and out of the room was very much available. I did not like that they misspelled my title/name on the reservation and that a few of the staffpeople did not acknowledge the guest properly. But overall, the service here is very good. I will stay in this hotel again.
Nicely layered into a lush tropical landscape, close to the Putrajaya mall, daily shuttles back and forth to Cyberjaya business district and to the malls. Rooms comfy and well design. Quiet environment. Restaurants could benefit from more variety but otherwise OK. One sour note: Shangri-La’s Golden Circle loyalty program Think twice before joining Shangri-La’s Golden Circle loyalty program, as some of its rules are quite very unusual. Imagine you’re a member and you log into their site to make a reservation. “No rooms” says the system, “call the hotel directly, maybe they have some”. So you call the hotel. “Sorry, dear valued Golden Circle member, but we have no rooms, at any price.” But then you log .com..Lo and behold, rooms galore, and a very good rates too. Not so fast though – if you book through these outfits, then your stay is not a “qualifying stay” – you get zero loyalty points. “But, for crying out loud” you say “ I did try to book with you guys, but you lied to me and told me there are no rooms”. At best you get back an email filled with the usual “don’t hesitate to call us” and so on- but no points. Is this even legal? Isn’t it “switch and bait”? In any case – before you join, read all of the fine print twice. Or just don’t join. These Shangri-La guys don’t seem honest to me.
Great hotel with 5 STAR staff service.”
We really choose the right hotel. The staff was so friendly and they provide us some information on how to getting around at Putrajaya. Our room was spacious and clean. My 8 year old son really love the hotel. The buffet look great but we don't have chances to try them.We are free to have the dessert at the buffet counter for our alacarte menu. The waiter and waitress were so friendly.. The pool was great but i am a bit disappointed because not much time to try their spa..We took the free shuttle to KL where the driver was really friendly too.We will definitely choose this hotel for the next vist..
Review of Shangri-La Hotel, Putrajaya”
We stayed at this hotel when we missed our flight to the United States and were looking for a hotel close enough to the airport with something to see. This proved to be the best option. The hotel is centrally located in Putrajaya and has good access to the lake and the shopping center. They have a free shuttle that will take you to the Shangri-La in KL and the shopping center. They were very nice to us because we spent the night at the airport and let us check in early without a fee (although only after they saw us sleeping by the pool waiting for our room). The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with lots of sunlight. Lots of nice controls in the rooms that let you dim the lights as you please and an electronic do not disturb button. This hotel is a lot smaller and not as grand as the Shangri-La in KL. The food at the restaurant was okay and quite overpriced. I found it surprising that this hotel was as expensive as the one in KL, given its location and the fact that breakfast was not included in our hotel price (the breakfast at the Shangri-La in KL was divine). The restaurants also closed very early and there was nothing to do after 11pm or so. The service was very good and we enjoyed our stay. Would stay there again.
I'm very satisfy with this hotel. 2 times I came here for my honeymoon day. Very satisfied with breakfast and also dinner. Thank you Pulse Grande for honeymoon decoration.
i'd thank you for your treatment , i really loved putrajaya , it is so calm and comfortable . and i love this hotel , really 5stars hotel , helpful staff , clean room , great food , i'd always stay there when i come to malaysia . and i'll make all my reservation by you . keep up the good price and the good work. thank you
