The style and character of Puripunn Hotel reflects its historic neighborhood. This property is situated in the midst of what is now a heritage zone that is home to the city’s greatest concentration of antique wooden buildings. Many night pubs, restaurants, shop houses, and sightseeing attractions are a short stroll of the hotel. Nearby bridges lead over the Ping River to the modern commercial center. From the hotel, it is just a 10-minute walk to the downtown Night Bazaar. The temples of the moated old town are only a short drive beyond. There are just 30 rooms in this elegant property. Each comes with a flat-screen TV, DVD player, air conditioning, IDD phone, as well as welcome and farewell drinks, flowers, and fruits on arrival. Sala Spa offers traditional Thai massages as well as a unique aroma massage. If you’re looking for the most convenient choice in town offering great value for money, look no further than Puripunn Hotel.

The most amazing customer service!”
All the staff at Puripunn went above and beyond to make our honeymoon stay special. The hotel let us check in early without any problem as we had just flown into Chiang Mai and were weary from traveling. Our final day we were scheduled to tour an elephant sanctuary all day. We were running behind on time in the morning so they rushed our breakfast order so we’d get to eat before our busy day. The staff knew we were to fly out after we returned from our tour so they asked us if we’d like to shower. After a day in 90 degree heat nothing felt better. They then brought us complimentary Thai tea to refresh with before we grabbed a car to the airport. They even offered to take care of that! I’d recommend Puripunn just for it’s amazing staff alone!
Puripunn Baby Grand Boutique Hotel”
We loved our stay at Puripunn and if we ever go back to Chiang Mai we'll definitely stay there again. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The hotel was beautiful, the garden gorgeous and the pool was lovely. Our room was very quiet and comfortable and we loved the decor. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet residential street so you are assured of a peaceful and quiet stay. After the hustle and bustle of the markets it's great to come back to the peace of the hotel and relax. The breakfasts were fabulous (which were included in our booking) although the meals in the restaurant were really quite expensive.
A magical place ”
I stayed at Puripunn only 1 night, but the experience was fabulous. A small hotel in thai style, room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. At night, the hotel looks like a magical place. It is located on a remote street, walking distance from city center. The staff speaks very good English and is very welcoming. They will make your stay very special. I highly recommend and I would come back to Chiang Mai for this hotel experience.
The Puripunn Baby Grand hotel is a very nice place to stay. The staff is very accommodating and attentive (tidied up the room several times a day). The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and nice amenities and decorative touches that make the room special (we stayed on the ground level). Pictures on the web site reflect the current room/hotel conditions. We found the breakfast to be excellent with cooks who prepared anything we wanted as Americans (eggs to order, omelets, french toast, bacon, ham, etc). They also had a variety of cereals, breads, pastries, fruits, and more. The pool is small and cool but it is a beautiful place to sit and relax with nice loungers. The center section is not a hot tub but just part of the pool. The pool area closes at 8pm and I would have liked to swim a little at night, however I did notice mosquitoes coming out around dusk. The hotel is beautifully lit up at night and is beautifully landscaped. We had a few drinks at the pool but did not eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. Prices for pool drinks around $8 and in looking at the menu the food prices were a little high but not totally ridiculous. The hotel location is a bit strange and isolated but that also makes it a quite retreat. We walked to night markets and other places without issue. The tuk tuk provided by the hotel was one way, limited, and at set times and we did not find that useful. Uber is very cheap and easy if you don't want to walk. Some nice cafes and restaurants along the river on the hotel side and a short walk from the Puripunn. Hotel also had a decent library of DVDs. We very much enjoyed our stay.
A beautiful home in Chiang Mai”
The highlight of our trip to Thailand was staying at the Puripunn hotel. Upon entering the hotel on the first night, we were left breathless by the intimate property that felt like a grand residence. We were upgraded to a standard deluxe room that was steps away from the pool and had a small patio and fantastic bathroom. Breakfast, which comes with the room, always included a local delicacy that was just delicious. The care and artistry put into carving the fruits or custom making an omelette made breakfast a welcome ritual. We used the pool and the computers everyday and looked forward to returning after a long day of shopping or sightseeing.
good Hotel with detail!!!!”
puripunn baby grand boutique hotel have the gorgeous detail of the architecture, which combine the chinese and the north of thailand style together. just the first step you make in puripunn , you will feel the heedfulness of every detail in this hotel including the welcome heartily from everybody. although the location of puripunn is not good because the tiny soi, but this place is truely hidden treasure in chaing mai, thailand
We stayed here for our honeymoon and were hugely impressed with the Puripunn Hotel. Our baby grand suite was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff were always very attentive and very friendly and did everything to make our stay as great as it could be. The garden and pool areas were small but lovely and relaxing and we enjoyed a few lazy afternoons around the pool. The breakfast was really good but I can't comment on the rest of the menu as we ate all our meals out. The location is very good. It's right near the Ping river and close to lots of great restaurants. The hotel also run a complimentary tuk tuk to take you downtown but its a fairly easy walk too. We went with our 2.5yr old son and found the staff great with kids and they made his stay a very special one.
Detail-oriented, but a little bit over-price”
overall, puripunn is nice and we really enjoyed our stay. the location is a little bit remote compare to the old town hotels, they offer shuttle tuk-tuk 5 times per day, though not always on schedule. the hotel decoration is full of lovely details and some parts are very fancy. we love the old-fashion furniture. the room is not spacious, but the service is great. it's funny that every time we returned hotel to take a rest from sight-seeing, we found new gift from the hotel. the pool is the best we had in chiang mai, with a spa in the middle of it. i spent a whole afternoon reading books besides the pool, it was quite and really a treat( and free!).
Nice hotel and friendly staff”
We stayed at th Puripunn Baby Grand Boutique Hotel for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, clean and decorated in beautiful detail.
Puripunn Baby Grand is a good deal”
min. 50 words Puripunn is a nice hotel in a quiet part of Chiang Mai - close to shopping and restaurants but not in the midst of the night market craziness. Staff are great about arranging taxis (the hotel has a free tuktuk, but only to the night market and environs)and were always professional and helpful but not overbearing. Puripunn is said to be 5 star, but based on my experiences in Thailand I'd put it at 4-and-a-bit stars. It's a great get-away.
Incredible stay in Chiang Mai”
We arrived late at night to Puripunn and the hotel was breathtaking with hanging lanterns in the trees and flowers everywhere. We were greeted with cool towels that felt heavenly and a wonderful drink. Our rooms were beautiful and clean and the breakfast was delightful with made-to-order omlettes and waffles. The service was the best we've ever experienced. My son said, "This must be what it feels like to be royalty." It truly was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend Puripunn.
I love this hotel”
Puripunn Baby Grand Boutique just like its name, small but cute. All the design are very beautiful and user-friendly. Afternoon tea is also delicious, but I suggest that 2 persons only order 1 is enough. I made foot message which is good but the price is not cheep. I like this hotel, the bed is very comfortable, the light in the room is also wonderful.
Very nice, personal Boutique Hotel”
The hotel is located outside the inner city. But still very good located and the night market, where the night life of Chiang Mai takes place (travel guide) is only about 10min walking distance. The personel of the hotel is awsomely friendly and helpful!! They try to meet all the needs and go the famous extra step for their guests. And they seem to do it because they wnat to!!!!! the only downside of the hotel is found in the rooms: due to the dark wood and the relatively small windows the room we stayed in was very dark and due to that seemed to be small, and the bathroom must have very old pipes: the water temperature just does what it wants, not caring about what you want (no regulation of the water temperature possible!!!) All in all, a great choice to stay at that hotel!!!!!!
lovely place to stay”
My husband and I stayed only one night at Puripunn hotel. When we checked out, we regretted our short stay there. Even for one night, we really enjoyed staying and had a relaxed time there. The equipment and facility are good enough and the interior are fantastic. Our room has a balcony with a couch and chair. It also has ceiling fan in the balcony. so we spent some time there to enjoy fresh air. We could also see the trees while lying on the bed. While we stay, we listened to the traditional Thai music. When I lie down on the bed seeing the birds nest on the tree and listening the music, I felt it was not real world.
Lovely little hotel in a great location”
Great hotel with a traditional thai architecture and ambiance, excellent Thai & Western food, friendly and helpful staff, walking distance to famous riverside bars and restaurants, we will be back. The owner came by at breakfast to chat with guests which shows the care taken here. Two drawbacks for families with small kids only: Lots of stairs so it is difficult with a stroller, but we just left ours at the front desk most of the time; and the place is far from kid proof so you need to be on top of your kids to make sure they don't get into dangerous situations. Better for couples or anyone who wants a quiet retreat as its a lovely and romantic hotel, but at any rate I highly recommend the Puripunn across the board.
The Baby Grand is well named, this charming small Boutque Hotel has a mere 30 rooms. Ranging from Suites to the more standard rooms, not that they are altogether that standard with their rich decor and balcony daybeds. I've just had the pleasure of staying there with my family, and taking three rooms and a Suite we occupied the top floor of the main building. At first we did wonder just what we'd done as our taxis wound down the final little lane only to arrive at what appeared to be the enterance of a large Northern Thai manor house or mansion of sorts. Stepping thru the gate doors is a beautifully gardened courtyard , the reception is in the main building to the left and the others buildings complete the enclosure. Center to this and hiding quite successfully amongst the lush foliage is the pool with decking and lounges. The Buildings are varied in height, taller (3 floors)at the back and one side - shorter on the other side and front with rooms having a balcony open to the garden - all of which ensure you don't feel boxed in. Add to that each room is decorated differently, the suite being especially delightfully (complete with chandelier over the spa bath), making you feel like your staying in a grand home. The owner, Att, was quick to make him self known, re-inforcing that sensation, and along with all of his staff proceeded to make our stay a delight. Breakfast was great with a selection of fruits, pastries, anti-pasto and cooked eggs bacon etc. (to order). Indead the food at anytime was good and in the most charming of fashion with it's Willow Pattern crockery, cut glasses and Siverware. It was with great sadness, our trip over, we waved good bye to the staff as they gathered to bid us farewell. It felt like we were leaving a seldom seen but favourite aunt & uncle We all swore we would return .... how could we not.
A real little gem of a hotel”
The Puripunn is a great boutique style hotel. The hotel has a lovely warm feeling about it, tastefully decorated, nicely landscaped all in all a grate hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble, they gave the sought of service you would expect from a top 5 star hotel. Free internet, complimentary tuk tuk into town as well. We had my 18 year old son with us and he gave it the thumbs up as well. All in all if you like boutique style hotels then you won't be disappointed here.
A Beautiful Boutique Hotel, that even the teenage ”
On arrival we were escorted to the large, airy reception and were settled into comfortable seats, given cold towels and a refreshing drink whilst the formalities were quickly undertaken. We were then taken to our rooms - wow!! the tall rooms, with dark teak furniture were so relaxing and cool - augmented by excellent air conditioning. We were provided with a fruit bowel and a plate of local made sweeties. The decor in the room is lovely - reflecting the local Thai tradition with a large balcony overlooking the small, but lovely pool. Breakfast was a buffet, but hot food was available, cooked for us individually - Tom (age 15) said that they were the best pancakes he has ever eaten - and he has a lot of experience!! Each night our bed was turned back and a posy placed on the pillow - not that we needed much help in falling asleep. We really enjoyed Puripunn and have already recommended it to our friends - thanks again for the fantastic service
Cosy boutique hotel - perfect for couples ”
This is a perfect place for couples wanting to explore Chiang mai city . The staff is v courteous and they provide shuttles to close by areas , they'll arrange cabs for farther destinations. Room decor Abd the hotel feel is very pretty and romantic... nice food ! it's all you need for a comfy stay . As the name suggests it is baby grand - all nice things in a small space !
Fabulous hotel with great staff”
puripunn is a splendid little hotel just outside the noise and hustle and bustle of the center of chaing mai. the grounds are beautiful, breakfast is great, the staff bends over backwards to make you comfortable and happy. the hotel has a tuk tuk that can take you into town (5 minutes) and you can get a ride back for less then $2.
