Great Staff, Great Food, Great Location, Great EVERYTHING!”
We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was amazing catering to our every need with a friendly smile. The location is great because it's a short walk to the road that leads up to the main road. The food was really amazing. We tried other restaurants and buffets (ehem Henann) and Pyramid was just worlds better. The bed was really comfy! It was nice coming back from a tour to a clean, serviced room and plop down on the soft bed. The breakfast was really awesome as well. It felt like a 3 course breakfast. Every morning I got to choose from a few set meals, each meal included toasted mini sour-dough type of bread with butter and jam on the side, the main course (variety of choices), and fruits. It also comes with coffee or tea, and your choice of fruit juice. It was a meal that gave us the energy to start the day. All the rooms face towards the pool, so you can lounge on your little porch having breakfast while the kids swim in the pool. The pool is 10 feet deep though, so for those who can't swim or with kids, just be prepared for that or any accessories to keep you afloat lol. It's actually rare to see a pool in the Philippines over 6 feet, so it was actually nice! Checking in was really great. We flew in at 10:30am, and arrived at Pyramid at 11am. (Pyramid is only like 5-10mins away from the airpot, few kms away). We were afraid we had to wait til 3pm to check in at the allotted check-in time, but we were surprised that they told us we could check-in already! yay, no waiting. All-in-all, we had a great experience. If we were to stay at Alona Beach again, Pyramid is 1st choice always. I highly recommend this place, I put my stamp of approval on it!

Pros: -Great Location directly on beach -Affordable -Friendly staff with welcome drink -Deep pool and outdoor showers -Can arrange ferry/airport pickup -Clean* Cons: -Loud Neighboring establishments -Lizards/Ants in room -Far transport pick up/drop off To Know: -Stains on Linens will be charged -Only 2 water bottles per day -Linen and towel replacements every other day -Breakfast not included through Agoda Summary: We rented the Deluxe King room overlooking the pool for 3 nights and 4 days. starting with Pros - everything listed above, location: can’t say how great it is. literally 50 feet from beachfront. the pool is 3 meters (~10ft deep). We arranged for a pick up from the ferry terminal for 800 php (make sure you pay the resort if they set up, not the driver). I put clean* because while the resort itself is very clean and the housekeeping does a good job of cleaning, we would occasionally come into the room to find tree dust/lizard droppings on our bed sheets / floor / bathroom from lizards that scamper about on the ceiling. Cons - The resort itself is very quiet but being right on Alona beach the property is flanked by busy raucous bars on both sides. they play loud music late into the night. We could faintly hear from our room - it didn’t bother us but if you are a very light sleeper you may have an issue. Although resort is clean, we found lizards in our room on the ceilings that probably came in through the bathroom fan. If you leave food out on the tables (even if covered in a bag) you will find ants in your room. Transport can only drop you off to the end of the beach road - since the resort is located literally on the beach you have to walk the last 200 meters to the resort. sometimes transport will only pick you up from mcdonald’s which is about a 6 min walk from the resort. Things to know - Stains on linens are charged - if you get a henna tattoo or spill coffee or get a blood stain on the linen that they cannot remove you will be charged the price of the linens ( most expensive i saw was 2000 pesos). You get two complimentary water bottles per day. the mini fridge is stocked with beers and soft drinks for purchase. you can get your room turned over daily but house keeping will only replace the linens and towels once every two days. Overall think this is a great resort with awesome locations but can be a little rugged at times with some minor inconveniences. if lizards and dust on your bed are major no-nos this may not be for you. but if you can tolerate some occasional tropical invasions then this is a great find.

Chose this hotel primarily for its location. Perfect when you want to stay near the beach yet very accessible. Re our room, on our first night, we encountered an issue on the airconditioning unit. It was hot and humid that time and we’re tired from the early travel so we expect to have a comfortable sleep. The staff immediately attended to the problem and did their best and Renz did what was actually beyond her duty to make sure our stay will be comfortable. They had compensated our stay for a night for the trouble since we opted to stay. The hotel replaced the a/c with a brand new unit the next day while we’re on tour and was well and good when we came back. Our room was spacious, the toilet was sparklingly clean and wifi was working. We did not try swimming in the pool because we prefer the beach. Their food was also good. I love their breakfast options. I’d like to commend the hotel staff, most especially Renz, for their outstanding service. Mark at the bar was also accomodating and friendly. Will come back again ❤️👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of the best stays in Alona Beach”
PROS: 1. Since we booked the room with a sea view, waking up in the morning was a dream. It was a very beautiful scenery and sound of the waves and chatter of people at the beach. 2. The room was huge with your own living room downstairs and a huge bedroom and balcony upstairs with a sun lounger. 3. Staff were helpful and always smiling. 4. No corkage on outside food and drinks (?) 5. There’s a faucet outside to clean up your sand soaked footwear. CONS: 1. No free breakfast and resto opens only at 7AM. If you have an activity at a very early morning (like we did at 6AM), you would have to find food somewhere else. 2. Room, specifically at the ground floor, is not soundproof. You would clearly hear the chismis outside the room which hosts 2 tables of the resto/bar. 3. You would need to drag your luggage on the sand before you reach the hotel since it’s beach front. Perhaps a little less than 100meters. 4. It could get noisy at night with the party next door extending until 11pm on weekends. 5. Internet connection is intermittent. Not suitable if you are “working away from home” (but not an issue if you are there to enjoy your vacation). Despite the listed cons, we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend the Sea View room to couples or small families. I missed laying on the sun lounger on the balcony. Our memories at the hotel would be very much better though if they only let us borrow umbrellas as we were leaving the hotel to the airport car transfer during a heavy downpour. We literally walked to the car soaked because there was no available umbrella. Before that, we asked if we could leave once the rain has stopped but was told that the car is already waiting and it’s unsure when the rain would stop. The irony is that the rain has already stopped when we reached the airport. 🥹 Nonetheless, not letting this small incident spoil our wonderful 5-day memories. Thanks to Pyramid Hotel for hosting us.
Great beachfront hotel on Alona Beach”
We enjoyed our 3-night stay in this hotel. The rooms are quiet and spacious, a lot of storage for clothes/luggage, and the bathroom is nice. The bed, pillows, and linens are also clean and comfy. Our room has a nice view of the pool surrounded by palm trees. It’s a nice retreat. The welcome drinks and daily complimentary water and coffee is a nice touch too. We also love that we can leave our bags in the reception area while we wait for check-in time. We arrived at 12PM since we came from another hotel, and the staff helped store our luggage for us while we wait, allowing us to use the time for lunch and quick swim without having to worry about our bags. Location wise, it’s great! It’s very close to a nice swimming spot and dining places along the beach. Their restaurant has good food, but a bit on the pricier side. But all of the food we tried were delicious, so I guess it’s worth the money! We especially loved their grilled meat platter and pancit canton. Staff are also very nice and helpful. They are accommodating and very helpful in suggesting activities we can do. They are also quick to accommodate our requests. However, while the property has a pool, it’s 10-feet deep. Not really an issue for us since we spent most of our time on the beach but could be a drawback for guests with kids. One minor hiccup though was our room was not 100% ready by 3PM. There were no pillowcases yet, but we were allowed in since the room was already clean. We’re not really fussy guests but for a check-in time of 3PM, most would expect that rooms are good to go. Overall, we had a great experience in this hotel. We would definitely stay here again when we’re in Bohol.
