Staff, cleaniness, quality of room
Great hotel. Second stay here at the Qinhuangdao Peninsula Seasons Hotel & Apartment. Front desk staff is TOP NOTCH. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Hotel rooms are very modern, clean, and well equipped.

Nice hotel, helpful staff, good bang for your buck”
Great room, helpful service, very good English
I booked the cheapest room (a twin double) and was very impressed for the price. The room even came with a kitchenette. Very clean, smelled new. Staff was very helpful with everything and their English was very good. This is one of the few hotels in Qinhuangdao that accepts foreigners. The cab ride to the most popular beach site in Beidaihe is about 20-30 minutes away. However, you will have to pay to get into the beach. If you go to the beach in Beidaihe, I suggest walking north and finding a spot where you don't have to pay to get in. There is a mall near the hotel, but there isn't a whole lot to do in Qinhuangdao itself. I went in June, but there seemed to not be many guests at the hotel at all, probably because it's a little further from the beach. Overall, the hotel was very nice, and I would definitely recommend it.

Great, stylish business hotel ”
value for money & design
The Peninsula Seasons hotel is a very stylish, modern, luxurious business hotel, which is located in central Qinghuangdao, close to the shopping area. The rooms are extremely clean and furnished in modern design and colours. We liked the wooden floors instead of the carpets you find at most other places. We loved the bathroom with its large shower cabin. Value for money is excellent. The staff at this hotel is extremely friendly and helpful and they speak a little bit English. We used this hotel as a base to travel to Shanhaiguan which is only a 30 minute taxi drive away (cost approx. 50 to 60 yuan, depending where you start and end your drive). We can only recommend this hotel and there is nothing we can complain about. Qinhuangdao is a large, friendly city with only a few sights and almost no Western tourists.

I was blown away. ”
Spacious, New, Modern, Clean, Friendly English Speaking staff, amazing buffet
I was pleasantly surprised by the Peninsula. Online it had all the looks of a Chinese hotel that looked good in pictures but was bound to be older than the pictures looked and not nearly as nice as expected. This is not the case. Peninsula is very new and very clean and very modern. We stayed in a suite which was nicer than our apartment in another Chinese city. THe Buffet was a little pricey but extensive and very delicious. I'd recommend getting the buffet. Our room had a small kitchen with some cooking things and we made our own breakfast there one morning. The staff were friendly and eager to chat and help find places to eat and things to do. The hotel is right in the heart of the city near a Tesco, Coffee Shop and an excellent little place to eat called Fairyland Cafe (amazing Gelato). When I go back to QinHuangDao this hotel will be the only place I stay. The price was less than half the Holiday Inn.

Good locality, but poor window view”
well equipped, staff are polite and helpful.
Generally, I was happy with the hotel during my stay, the breakfast, I felt, should have more variety. The staff were all polite and helpful. However, I was not very happy the refund given to me in view of my early check out. I have booked the hotel from 13 jul - 25 jul 2012,but due to unforeseen circumstance, I had to check out on 22 Jul 2012, that was 3 days earlier than the scheduled period, but I was only refunded a lot less. which doesn't make sense at all as I was quoted the price of 13 days' stay. I have yet to receive my bill from the credit card company but I felt that the hotel should provide me with a details bill list out all the expenditure.

Lovely hotel. Great staff. ”
Nice value for money hotel. Wonderful friendly staff.
Rooms are spacious equipped with amenities such as mini-kitchen etc. Very quiet which is great. Breakfast is super with great selection of food. Overall, very happy with stay at hotel. Only complain would be that if you and your friends stay in separate floors, then it is extremely inconvenient to go to each other's floors as you need to swipe the correct floor's room card in order to get access to that floor. Apart from that, zero complaints. Two thumbs up.

Surprizing find. A Hotel with a Kitchen facilities”
Brand New, friendly staff. Good location to shopping, Coffee shops and Restaurants. The more u explore the more u find
there having a soft opening. everything is brand new, and with surprizing extras. each room had a kitchenette. its decor is pleasant in the functional business hotel like not laura ashley. our rooms were spacious, in fact 3 of us had breakfast in together in our room, around a table, very civilized and a pleasant change from hotel buffets. we just chose a time, and they delivered a fixed menu of several courses to satisfy western & chinese tastes with local food. millet soup, eggs, fruit, yoget and steamed buns, only thing missing was coffee. but hey plenty of cute cafe's around the corner. although english not available with all staff, they tried. worst thing i can say is not so easy to find, its on side of department store frontage, but if you look for signs, you will get it. within walking distance is markets, shopping galore, and restaurants, and there a couple of cute cafe's nearby. one like alice in wonderland, the other like german beer hall, but with fantastic deserts.
