Awesome location”
I was going to Akita for the Kanto Matsuri. This hotel is around an hour away from Akita station. It was the first day to Japan for us, and from Narita to Yokote, we have to head to Akita first before backtracking to Yokote. It was almost midnight by the time we came to the hotel. By the time we got to Yokote station, we were hot and sweaty (it was August), tires, and jet lag. Luckily, the hotel has 24hr reception and we can pretty much see it from the station. It was seriously an oasis moment, where you can hear the music from the background and everything. Anyways, we didn't expect much from the hotel, but it was pretty satisfactory stay. Everything was pretty excellent. Didn't get to use their onsen so I can't say anything about that. If I were in the area again, I would definitely book from them again. The only thing is that they make you pay at the hotel rather than before you arrive, so for me that was a bit of inconvenient. Nothing too bad though.

Best station hotel for Tohoku Sakura Trip”
Pro - Quite close to the Yokote station which is like a connecting station between Kakunodate St. and Kitakami St. We planned to visit both sakura spots so we choose Yokote. The hotel is nice, clean, with helpful staff, 24-hr check-in, baggage drop-off(ask the staff at the counter), onsen, and comfy bed + pyjamas. Con - Not many food places around. Couldn't spot any restaurant or convenient store in walking distance. So we just ate when we got to Kakunodate.

The rate is reasonable during hot season. Spa is okay and I love the japanese breakfast very much! Not all staff can speak English but they are nice. I would recommend it to others and stay there again when I go yokote next time!

Not too happy as a smoking tool has been given to us though I’ve specified non smoking in my booking. Having said that the room size is descent and it’s still clean and tidy overall and so it’s still value for money.

明るい照明で温度調整できるエアコンで部屋では快適に過ごせました。 しかしホテルに到着、もしくは出先から戻った時に日帰り入浴の方の車で駐車場がいっぱい。大きな荷物を持って雪の中を歩きたくなあので、毎日駐車スペースの空き待ちに時間がかなりかかります。宿泊者専用スペースを設けたり、チケット制にしたり、係員をつけるなり宿泊者以外は停められないような工夫が必要だと思います。
