We stayed at the Quality Inn last minute and it was a GREAT rate for the area! VERY clean rooms and facilities. Beds were comfortable, hot shower, free wifi, free parking, and free breakfast in the morning.

Quality Inn, perfect location, rooms were fairly quiet. The rooms need to be cleaned thoroughly though. It was ok. We had a good time while we were there, met some excellent people that were locals. All in all, a good place to stay for a short period of time.

Couldn't Care Less”

The hotel is in a good position for walking to the Downtown area. Mobile is making the best of the history that have. My Debit card was declined. Receptionist tried twice. I was stressed. Rang long distance to my bank. Told that because the operator did not ask for my pin, it waved a red flag and the Bank declined it. No Wi-Fi. During our visit. No effort made to restore it. Floors not clean our socks were very dirty after we walked on it. Hair dryer and cord repulsively grubby. Plug in the sink broken. Lift groaned and moaned, doors looked dodgy. Breakfast unsupervised, tea bags, milk, disappeared and not replenished. Reception staff indifferent and cold.

Utterly disgusting and overpriced”

DO NOT BOOK! This facility is worse than a motel in the middle of nowhere. They don't even own the parking lot and nobody warns you about having to register at a kiosk on the side of the building. Rooms are truly disgusting. Couldn't even shower the next morning because there was no hot water. Read the other reviews on other sites and be forewarned. The marginally lower price is excessive for the misery you will experience. This business ruined my experience in Mobile and Alabama.

Pros: Location and friendly staff with plenty of parking space. Cons: When we entered the room there was someones stool in the toilet, toilet seat is very worn, it had pieces of the toilet seat chipped away. Coffee wrappers like napkins and sugar and all that stuff was in wrappers that had already been open. Ceiling and wall was coming off letting off sheet rock and paint onto the floor because of the ac unit that was installed on the upper side of the wall not on a window like its supposed to be.

Quality Inn is No Longer Quality”

Growing up, the Quality Inn used to be a decent hotel. I am not sure if this was an independent owner or the chain has just went down. The hotel is located in downtown Mobile, which is convenient for conferences. This is the only good thing about this hotel. The hotel is in dire need of renovations. It needs updating and the HVAC system needs replacing. The hotel has a very musty, old smell. I had to try five rooms before I found one where the smell was not so bad, even though it was still slightly visible. Air conditioning was not operable in all of the rooms and the water pressure was very low in the shower, a sign of old plumbing. The ice machine on my wing was not working. The only available ice machine was in the center of the building. No iron was available in my room. The tub and sink had broken valves. The towels were very cheap, thin, and in need of replacement. There was no spa feel in the bathroom or with the towels. Flooring has been updated in most of the hotel, but the hotel overall and the furniture needs updating as well. Good hotels renovate every 6 years to keep things looking fresh and clean. Besides comfort in this hotel, it was also lacking safety. It is an outside hotel that has older doors that clearly need to be replaced not only for safety, but also to conserve energy. It is obvious that this hotel is way past due for renovation. If you are looking for a safe, comfortable, and nice hotel to stay in downtown Mobile, the Quality Inn is not it. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend it and I give it two thumbs down.
