The stay was amazing! ”

location, room and view!

The stay at the Quay West Suites Sydney was absolutely amazing! For me, the best 3 things about this hotel are: location, room and view! You can literally see the Sydney Harbour bridge and the Sydney Opera House at the hotel's rooftop lounge!

self catering, harbour view, two balconies

I would stay at the Quay West Suites Sydney again. Would definitely get a harbour view suite again as it defines the view of why I come to Sydney in the first place. Very friendly staff. Due to the units being self-catering, you can keep to yourself or head downstairs for meals. Enjoyed it a lot.

Superb Apartments”

This property was in a fantastic location in The Rocks area of Sydney very close to Circular Quay for trains and ferries, pubs and eateries. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with views of The Harbour Bridge and The Oprea House. The apartment was very modern very clean and had everything you have in your own home. Check in check out was a breeze with the 24 hour desk, would highly recommend these apartments to anyone staying in Sydney that’s wants to be home from home.

Fantastic location, great for a family vacation.”

Location, room size, view

Our family of four (parents + two teens) stayed in a two-bedroom apartment suite with a fabulous view of the harbour, for 4 days. The location cannot be beat -- close to the harbour, the Rocks, shopping, train transport, etc. The view from our room was unbelievable, as it looked over the harbour, with the harbour bridge and the opera house right out front. The hotel staff members were quite helpful and nice. We ordered room service the first night, as we arrived late and walked to the hotel in the rain from the nearby train station. The food came promptly and was VERY good, although pricey (which is expected in a CBD-located hotel, I would think). The kitchen was well equipped, and it was great having a clothes washer/dryer available for our family. The only issue we had were that the instructions for the washer did not match the washer unit available in the room. We had to guess on how to use it. Also, the night we arrived was the night daylight saving time was changing. Some of the clocks in our room were set to one time, the others to another. This is a minor thing, but definitely confusing as we had traveled internationally and were unsure as to the time when we arrived. There is no free internet in the rooms, only in the lobby, and it was spotty, at best. For us, traveling as a family, this wasn't an issue. But, it would be frustrating for business travelers. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone with a family, looking for a place to stay that is less expensive than a standard hotel. Please note, there really isn't a supermarket/grocery store nearby. There are convenience stores in the Quay, but if you want more to purchase for breakfast or other meals to prepare in the apartment, you have to travel outside of the CBD.

Just fabulous”

The view is amazing - that's what sold it. But the locations is excellent overall. The facilities are very good (the balcony in the recreation space is great for lounging after a swim or a work out. Staff were very helpful, but not always quite as knowledgeable as I would expect from a hotel. Walking distance to the The Rocks (don't miss the weekend market), Circular Quay and the Opera House.

Great Staff Value for Money The Rooms Spacious Location was ideal also
More explaination at Buffett breakfast would have been helpful. Maybe an explaination of public transport when checking in would also be helpful for people how are visiting as tourists. (Only minor points, otherwise I couldn't fault staff or services)

We really enjoyed our stay if only for a short time. I found the staff very welcoming and always very friendly. Our suite was lovely and spacious. it was nice for a night in with our own kitchen and facilities provided allowed for a comfortable stay. We found the location in a loverly part town, good for tourist visitor with such things at The Rocks Market's and close to the city for business visits. We plan to stay here next time in Sydney and thank all the staff for making our stay wonderful.

Vies and Room Quality

We selected a 2-bed suite overlooking the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The quality of the rooms was excellent, true 5-star, they even provided washing machine and dryer. Best of all was the view, full-on views of the harbour, genuinely probably the best views in Sydney.

Great location”

Location, location, location

The Quay West is very well located near circular quay/the rocks. It is a nice hotel, but I wouldn't consider it 5 star. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast (which was the only meal we had there) was OK, but not great. The indoor pool was very nice, albeit looking a little tired (peeling paint etc). Overall a decent hotel, but seems to trade off its excellent location. On the positive front we stayed here with a small child and the larger rooms and kitchenette were a big bonus.

Great Location & Facilities”

Location was fantastic. A short 5-10 minute walk to the Opera House for our shows. Staff was friendly & helpful
Housecleaning at 9am in the morning. Walking up the hill to get to the hotel. Breakfast was a bit disappointing but as it was included in the cost of the hotel room it was alright.

Great place to stay. It was close to the Opera House. We had a few shows so wanted to be within walking distance. Also great access to city, the rocks, syndey harbour bridge. Due to the location (being on a step hill) people who have trouble walking might not want to stay here, but for everyone else it is a great place with great facilities. I will definately stay there next time I am in Sydney.

The hotel was good location. My mother and sister could go Sydney Opera House easily. They enjoyed shopping and eating. There were many shops and restrean. They said they could see sea from window a little. There were 2 TV. It was nice. But bath room was small. It was difficult to stand 2 people in the room.
