Noisy by the road side”
I was being assigned a room facing the main road. Pretty noisy due to facing main road and the trishaw passing by was playing loud music. 8am came the garbage truck and the engine noise was loud. Not sure the rooms facing the river should be better. No in house parking thus have to park at public car park at main road.
Good location near Jonker ”
Aircon only in room not at common lobby
EXCELLENT BUT DON'T GET THE BURGER”
Location excellent, staff excellent and view of river was awesome. The restaurant's food was not good. Hamburger bun was partly frozen and had to return the meal for the kitchen to toast the bun. The burger had pieces of bones (picture available upon request) and the stringy tendons of the beef were large and not appetizing. Parts of hotel and the riverwalk in construction phase.
I will not deny it's a good location!”
those who wanna be in jonker street u can consider this hotel. a simple budget hotel but not too bad. But wifi sucks whole night! not much of help given for that. but location is best! since I gonna stay for 1 night I didn't make a fuss about the wifi. U are in jonker street ! walking distance to night market bistros n hard rock cafe!
The river view is very beautiful”
The river view is very beautiful, but the soundproofing is poor, and there is no showerhead
Rooms facing the river is currently with no view as construction works on the river bank is ongoing . The reception is perpetually warm with nonfunctiong airconditioning and smelly. The impression is like walking into a sewer due to the smell. Toilet is without any ventilation and the flooring needs to be cleaned and coated again . Sheets are filled with stains and looking un hygenic. This hotel used to be so much better but is on a decline now in terms of its upkeep and overall look and feel.
room no 201 roof/ceiling leaking”
nothing much to review, been there during thaipusam holiday in Jan 19, there was construction going on just right infront of the rooms (river view) , so not so nice view & it's noisy. Room no 201 roof leaking & water dripping from the ceiling. Also noticed there was no ventilation fan in the bathroom. However, the staff are excellence & helpful.
Lobby was hot. Was told that key card not functioning, which was rectified while we went out. Hotel staff was friendly despite that but parking was less as it's location is right next to the Maritime Museum! Great view from the balcony! Would still stay despite the so-so experience.
Location is excellent where it is very near Jonker street. There are hotel parking space available, which was really good, but do note that parking spaces are limited. Room is clean, a great view overlooking the Melacca River. The only downside is maybe it will be a little noisy as the street is right below and you can hear people walking by / conversation
Cheap, convenience .”
Price is not bad, staff are friendly, facilities is very poor and worse no aircon in the receptionist area. It is so uncomfortable while we were there, terribly hot to walk in to the lounge after a day out. No cafe, restaurant and hard to get a taxi moving around
Sound proof too poor”
Lobby no aircond, sound proof between the room too poor, can listen clearly room beside conversation...Can't sleep nicely coz beside the room guess chit chat till midnight 🙄 and make the noise voice whole night (move the table or chair) 😒
Toilet was not thoroughly cleaned. Door access card keep having faulty issue but hotel staff refuse to change room for us. Ask for additional charges but unable to provide me receipt to justified the cost for paying.
An unhappiness trip ”
I special request babycot , but they told : KITA TIADA BABYCOT DAH LAMA ! What? If u don't have babycot, u should be early inform me before I arrive ur hotel . I asked a single mattress to ready , they said need to pay RM80 for charges , because all is AGODA SALAH, not they fault . What? So u all no need to solution customer problem ? My baby just 10month only , and I also got a child 2year old , so how we sleep as well the night from a long journal. If u a lightsleeper, this is not a good choose to u , all room don't have soundproof. When people run/jump/walk/talk, u can hear it very clear it . Some more the balcony is river view, but I want to say It is not safe!!! Too close to road!!! This is my first time stay Queyside Malacca and last time also . Very horrible experience ever
Dirty cups in room, no soap, doors falling off wardrobe. 2 coffee satchels and no sugar. This is a no frills service despite the high price. Staff are boring and don’t bother to smile, why are people in this establishment so grumpy, obviously they don’t like their job. To be honest this so hotel looks like an industr workshop ,it must be depressing working here not alone staying there. Look elsewhere as there are more pleasing hotels in this town.
Not worth of money”
Our room got leaked without us realise and my praying attire got wet because of that. The pillow smelly and got hole and the filling come out.The blind broke and we cant pull it up.I really don’t really like our stay this time.
Beautiful view and strategic location ”
The best and I only stay here if I’m in melaka. No complaints 😍
Short weekend getaway in Melaka”
Planned a short trip to Melaka to enjoy some scenery, sightseeing & food...and decided to book the Quayside Hotel which is right o the riverside but WAAAYYY much cheaper than the Casa Del Rio. Loved the location of the hotel - less than 5 minutes walk to Jonker Walk and just a 15 minute walk to Mahkota Parade & Pahlawan Mall. The room is ok, pretty basic for the price that we paid - basic toilet but (at $100 per night) we got the riverside room which overlooks the river. It may be a little noisy, but I love sitting at the balcony just sipping coffee, watch the sunset and see tourists and locals passing by at the riverwalk below. The hotel management could be a bit more proactive in checking the kiblat direction as as the kiblat direction for Melaka is 292.9 degrees - not exactly at the location of the sunset. Also, the air-con was confusing in trying to bring up or down the temperature. We ended up switching off the air-con halfway through the night.
price, location and view from balcony”
not for fussy traveller.. go for rooms with balcony facing the river.. just afew extra cost to satisfied yourself with a good view of the river chilling with a cheap cold beer you can get around the hotel easily.. or grab some street foods from night market just across the river(available from friday to sunday) and enjoy your food at your balcony..
Not So Bad! Great Location for Riverview room.”
The staffs were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and ok-ok for ladies travelling to stay, the location is just great!...great view for riverside room, easy access to walk around the city, save environment for ladies group travelling, the cafe was good and sufficient...but of course...ssshhhhh...you can practically hear your neighbours activities....and from the street as well..but all in all I wouldn't mind returning, though, the price was seen quite pricey for rooms that does not have sound proof...but all in all, was a good stay.
Good Location to Jonker Walk and New Hotel”
It's very near jonker walk and got limited reserve parking for the hotel guest. Hotel's staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is new and facilities is new too. One thing is hotel near the road and sound proof not very good. It's might be noisy sometime.
