Under construction in remote area”
We booked a 3 night stay at the Queen if the South hotel - to be on the coast and able to visit Borobudur Temple in near area.. The standard rooms were licated in sort of bungalows. This was never mentioned on any site. This bungalow area was under full reconstruction - our. Athriom was not finished and actually the whole area was under full reconstruction. The hotel gave us sn upgrade for 2 nights in rooms located innthe stone building. The third night could only be in the best cabines they could give us because of fully booked schedule. I wished they would have told us the reason because there was a group of 150 people with karaoke till 1 am. Next morning no breakfast left because if this group. Staff did their best to help out but all and all not recommended untill re- opening in 2018 by Mercure group

Exceptional”
There is a fair amount of construction going on here at the moment as they are expanding. I spent most of my time near the incredible pool. Awesome view and cliffside pool with cabanas and a good cocktail service. Definitely will be back.

Paradise in yogYakarta”
At the beginning I had some inconvenience because my room was right next to some construction, but after meeting the manager they sorted everything out on the nicest way so that my experience was definitely the best one in Indonesia. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, specially now that they are ending construction and there will be new rooms available, new swimming pools, this place is in paradise. After all, I had a really nice experience.

Great location but very standard accommodation. However they have a very good pool.”
I can say that they are the only beach hotel/resort in yogyakarta, with stunning view and great location. However the hotel facilities are very standard. Our room didn't even have a shower head (probably gone). The view is undeniably gorgeous. Must try.

Good”
The hotel staff were good, the facilities and the management were poor. First of all, when we arrived, we had booked the standard rooms -which had construction trucks in front and renovation going on at the back. i insisted a move, and they gave us the superior rooms facing the sea. we didn't specify which rooms, as long its away from construction. The path to the rooms had boulders and sand everywhere, the rooms were next to the store and construction workers having meals there, the rooms itself had stains on the marble floor, no soap bar, no mirror in the room, no proper room lights and also dank smelling bathroom and bedroom. The infinity pool which was the highlight of our backpacking holidays, before ending it here, was sad, because the construction was taking place in front of the pool, and the tarpaulin cover wasnt even high enough to cover the debris and sawing dust from entering the pool, right in front of the kiddies pool! On top of that, the management has allowed walk in guest (for a fee) but didnt put up any rules, so we had seen guest walking into the swimming pool with slippers on, with their jeans and tee and even one had the audacity to carry her orange juice in a glass across the pool and placed it on the ledge facing the sea. the staff are not equipped to handle such situation nor are they trained to inform guests, because when i spoke to one senior looking staff, and asked him, he said anything can be done in the pool, but when i explained about bringing in a glass in the pool, with kids swimming around and possibility of that glass breaking in the water, then he realised and said he would caution the guest. I am truly disappointed as a paying and staying guest, next time best to just fork out the payment for day visit and do whatever i please without care, like the rest of the visiting guests. Agoda staff made a quick check and got back to me about the renovations that was on going, but the management of the resort's lack of care to its paying a

Second-Rate at Best”
While its location remains unparalleled, atop a bluff overlooking the Indian Ocean and the expansive beach at Parangtritis, the hotel is less spectacular. It allows day guests (i.e., non-hotel guests) to use the restaurant and swimming pool area, which then become crowded and noisy and even dirty, especially on the weekend. Most tables were being used by day guests, leaving hotel guests with little space. Virtually all of the table tops were filthy, not cleaned, or even wiped, after previous users had finished their messy meals. A word of advice: do not stay anywhere near the swimming pool, even in a superior room, if you want privacy and quiet. I stayed far from the pool, in one of the standard rooms. But be aware that the standard rooms are extremely spartan and basic. The mattress is comfortable, but the room has no closet, and not even any clothes hooks. You will have to keep all clothes packed in your suitcase during your visit. And there is no mirror in the bathroom. I had to take my shaving cream and razor to the restaurant in order to find a sink that has a mirror above it, suitable for shaving. In the evening a local singer performs with microphone, making a lot of noise and drowning out the far more pleasant sound of the sea below. (Do guests come to the seaside to be near the sea or to seek the atmosphere of noisy pub??) The singer makes dinner conversation impossible. The staff have nice smiles, but can be extraordinarily petty. My room rate included breakfast, but I had failed to present my breakfast coupon at breakfast. The simple breakfast that I ordered from the a la carte menu cost less than the set breakfast meal that was included with my room rate. But because I had failed to present my breakfast coupon at breakfast (I presented it later), they insisted on charging me for the a la carte breakfast items and refused to accept the breakfast coupon. SOME UNSOLICITED ADVICE: You can use this hotel for sleeping on a comfortable mattress a
