GREAT LOCATION! Historical building! ”
The location is perfect, we were on the first floor, overlooking the temple and the water. The building is very interesting and fun to walk around and explore and the staff were great and helpful. It was perfect for our one night in Kandy.

Lovely old hotel. Big airy rooms. Nice pool. Comfy chairs in lobby and bar area. Recommend the tiny jewellery shop. Very friendly staff. Lots of food for breakfast but if you don’t fancy local fare, continental option with fresh fruit is available. Central. Recommend. Would stay again. Full of character.

Grand Old Colonial Hotel”
Staying here is like stepping back in time to old colonial days. Build around 1844 the hotel is old and charming. Yes the floors creep. The lift is an old cage elevator probably added in the early 1900’s. If you’re into the latest modern conveniences look elsewhere. Location is fabulous, in town but facing the lake. Rooms are old but well kept, housekeeping is excellent. Lots of attentive well trained staff.

The pool was clean. Very nice old hotel. We had a room with temple view. There's a bit more noise from traffic, but we're from Amsterdam and are used to it. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This is a must stay hotel. It's old and beautiful. It's right in the center of Kandy. It's like the city was built around this hotel. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's has good facilities too. The history and beauty of this hotel is well worth it.

Firstly I appreciate the duty of front office. Mr.Aadhil was very smart & kindly attending the Guests. Value for money. We really enjoyed the location. Walking distance to many restaurants & bakeries which serves delicious foods.We stayed in a room overlooking the beautiful lake. Overall conditions are perfect. This was my second visit, hoping to visit again. All the best to Queens. Keep it up.

Stay at this hotel for sure. Ask for a lake review room, its worth it. Astonishingly good. BUT 1. DO NOT go near the travel agents. They completely scammed us and a few other guests mentioned the same. They appear to be part of the hotel. 2. Wifi wasnt working in the lake view rooms, the room was worth it but we asked for assistance and no help was given

Grand old lady in the centre of Kandy, just opposite the tooth temple. Good buffet breakfast and dinner. Nice pool. Free accommodation for our local driver.

The staffs are nice and friendly. There are security checking before we enter the hotel, seem very safe to stay there. Location is superb, just in front of Tooth temple and we able to find many cafe and restaurants nearby they by only walking distance.

Very good location. The facility needs a complete revamp as everything seems to be run down. It is a shame as I have known Queen's from the day I was born & bred in a residence close to the hotel.
