    Excellent”

I stayed in 6 bed female dorm which was clean and spacious and bed was comfy. There’s lots of noice coming from the street at night and music is really loud which might keep you awake but i didn’t mind too much. They could have more bathrooms and showers as there’s only a few. Kitchen was quite small but clean. Wifi worked well also in a room and they have free breakfast (toast and cereal) which is always nice. Good value for money.

great location but too noisy at night”

near skybus stop, near britomart station, viaduct harbor but too noisy at night as there are some bars with loud music and annoying drunk voices from their customers. I couldn't have good sleep during my stay.

Good Place to stay In Auckland”

This is a great place to stay if you want to stay in CBD Auckland as a solo traveler. I would personally recommend staying in a different area of Auckland such as Mission Bay. This hotel was ideally located for shopping and food. There wasn't any parking if you have a car or rental car so be aware of that as parking garages are very expensive. Overall the location was great, the price was fair, the facilities were adequate, and I'd recommend it if you this is the neighborhood you want to be in.

    Think twice”

The staff was rude as. The never cleaned the rooms my whole stay. To loud. Bathrooms moldy as. Smelly hostel, louder music and noise from outside and i begin to think I could have a more comfortable sleep on the street with a piece of cardboard and a bottle. Good location

Pros...Location...you can't beat the Location Cons...better Pillows, better Blankets and Mattresses. It can get very noisy, since there is a Bar, next Door, but there is a easy Solution...Ear plug's.

    Expectations exceeded”

It is y first time to book in this type of accommodation and I may say I’m impressed. The single room is what I need. Though there are common areas like the bathroom, for me is not a problem. The breakfast is add-on. The staff is very accommodating. Will definitely recommend and book again when I travel to Auckland.

    Great Location”

Near to train and bus station. Walking distance to Captain Cook Wharf, Maritime Museum, Sky tower, Albert Park, St Patrick's Cathedral. Remember bring along earplug because there is pub/bar just one floor below. The music is quite loud during fri and sat night. Good stay anyhow! Staff there are nice and helpful.

    Excellent”

The location is convenient. It is along the Queens Street so its near to the shops, food stalls and across there's a bus stop . But if you have big luggage, (just like me when I went here) it would be difficult to go up 2-3 floors, no elevators! :( There is a bar nearby this hostel so sometimes it is a bit noisy. But overall my stay was ok.

    Disappointing ”

They had bad bugs and didn't told us. I stayed there 4 nights after the first night I asked the cleaner why they are cleaning one bad with a spray, they told us because of the dust. After three nights in the Same room, I got another because they wanted to clean the whole room. I got a one bed room directly next to a club. I gave them the chance to explain how that happened. My body is itching and I needed to clean my whole stuff. They never answered and ignored me. Never again.

    Very good”

The staff were really nice, didn't use the kitchen but the toilets and showers/wash areas were clean. Some showers are open, meaning you shower with other people and other people can come in to use the sink and there is also individual showers. The room I stayed in wasnt very nice but because the other people in the hostel were messy. i tend to find that with bigger hostels this happens. check in and out was easy. Free ceral/toast/coffee/tea in the morning. free wifi. It wasnt awful but it wasnt good either. Ive paid the same price for much better hostels.

Good Location but Noise at Night”

The location is really convenient to have food or transportation. I stay for a week and had made lot of friends here. Everything is fine except it is very noise at night as there are pubs downstairs. If you are a person cannot tolerate noise, consider this.

Noisy Pub beside the hostel ”

Walking distance to Britomart (train and bus station), Downtown Ferry Terminal and many eateries. Every Friday night, there is Asian Night Market just opposite the hostel. Bathroom and bed are relatively clean. The downside is that there is a pub right beside this hostel. Thus expect noises of loud music and drunk people talking till the next morning around 5am++. If u are not a party person and are a light sleeper, this hostel definitely not an option for u. From the main entrance, you need to climb two levels of stairs to reach the reception. Thus, it may not be convenient for travellers with heavy luggages.

I stayed here for more than a week and love this place so much. The location is superb and its clean and friendly and happy faces are seen everywhere inside the big big hostel. They pub downstairs are noisy coz i went during world cup lololol but i still manage to sleep. There is no heater but they provide blankets so its still perfect to me. Definitely will be back to QSB. And they guve free wifi too. Love their staffs. They give free toasts and cereals for breakfast too. Perfect

Perfect location u cant get better than this !”

Right in d center of LITERALLY EVERYTHING All the ferry departs right two streets away, all the malls and cinemas and supermarkets are streets away, kfc and bars, Louis Vuitton Gucci Prada etc right at the same junction below QSB. Yes alot ppl complaint that it is noisy but to me it is lovely and friendly. Altho i didnt join in others on pool table or drinking session chatting n all, but i can see that everyone is happy. The wifi is slow during peak hours when everyone is using it but when it isnt then it is fine. They give u extensions plugs so awesome i could charge everything i have all my devices together in one go heehee

    Strategic location in town”

I traveled with 2 friends and we stayed at the triple room. QSB is located very strategically in the town (off Queen Street) which is the reason I booked. Easy access to public transportation, supermarket, shops, walking distance to the Auckland harbor and Auckland tower. kitchen facilities is also good. Welcoming staffs. Check in and check out in a breeze. We got the room facing Fort St. It can be a bit noisy at night with bars and clubs below but we have no problem with that. If you want quieter room, you might ask. Parking is also a bit expensive around the area, you might want to ask the reception on cheaper parking area. We were told to park at Bringham St. (20mins walk away), which we did and happy as we managed to find a free park there while having a good time walking pass Auckland harbor, Silo park and waterfront on the way back/from QSB.

    Ok for a hostel.”

We don’t normally do Hostels but stayed here to save some money on our long trip so I’m not an authority, but while the employees were really nice and professional, I found the whole place rather dinghy, our private room was beyond basic, there was a bed and a sink and a chair and nothing else, not on square inch to set anything. A small shelf would have been nice. Location was great, ask for a room on the back to avoid street noise, there was drunken singing late Friday night.

We were promised twin beds , but they only have bunk or double beds. The lady at the reception was very unfriendly and insisted that a twin bed is always a bunk bed! She also made a copy of my credit card with an old manual credit card imprinter that could damage the card.

    Close to the pier”

This is the typical party hostel, where no one really cares about the traveller. This place is aimed towards work holiday and long term travellers. They ran out of milk and bread in the morning, so no free breakfast. Only 3 restrooms and 2 showers for probably 100 people. I don't recommend despite the great location.

    Strange but Good Value Hostel”

Very strange layout, but rooms seem randomly sized and I happened to be in a room containing a single bunk bed rather than the 8-bed I had booked. Kitchen facilities are ok, and bathrooms are plenty but there are no sinks in the toilets. All the sinks are in another larger bathroom further down the hall which is a pain.
