Good hotel”
Very friendly and helpful staff, very small hotel rooms but they are okay for a one night stay, the rooms in the basement are cheaper, but there is some cold wind from the windows so not 100% sealed, other than that the location is perfect

Very good”
For the price you can't beat the location. We were there to see a concert that was a 2 minute walk away and very close to great restaurant options and museums. Also close to a main tram stop so the entire city is easily accessible. If you don't plan on spending much time in your hotel room (which you shouldn't) while you're in Amsterdam, this is the place for you.

Location location location!”
Pros: -Centrally located -Near the canal -a lot of good restaurant nearby -Safe area Cons: -Elevator Ride feels like a Thriller Movie That has a big bump sound when you land on your floor -Toilets are old, small and doesn’t seems like a European standard -Beds are small and the room feels really small -No soundproofing Also, expect the staircase to small as I think that’s a Dutch standard building stairs. (Good luck with your luggage)

You wont get your sleep...”
The hotel was extremely noisy, and in addition the linen delivery is in the middle of the night = we hardly got any sleep. Also the Front desk staff was mostly arrogant and pretentious, only the Cleaning Staff were friendly and hard working. The place was spotless, however outdated and very different in design (we switched rooms). Please be aware the stairs inside, and to the entrance of the hotel is extremly steep why someone with leg/hip problems would have a serious issue (especially during winter/ice on steps). I am not sure I would stay here again, I can't decide if I got what I paid for... In general I was disappointed, since I have stayed in cheaper hotels with "higher standards".

Basic but central to prime tourist attractions ”
Over priced for three night stay and when we arrived we were asked for €37 tourist tax. It seemed a bit excessive . Room was fine . House keeping cake to change towels and toilet roll daily . Staff were friendly and helpful . Bed was comfortable enough .

Everything perfect. But the staff were Europe-cold”
On my second time in Amsterdam, I chose Quentin as my hotel. The place was perfect as it was close to many things —in fact, it was close to a lot of beautiful things. Everything was perfect! Except for the staff, some of them were Europe-cold. I don’t know, but I think coldness was among the things taught to them in their hotel management lessons. Surely, Quentin could do more. The staff could do more. A smile and a warm greetings could go a long way. I would, however, stay in Quentin again. And I am recommending. Overall, I am giving it a 7 our of 10 (with 1 as the lowest and 10 the highest).

Canal side, close to restuarants”
Quentin Amsterdam is just off a main street, making it easy to acess bus, tram and canal boats. It is along a street opposite a canal, so if you are looking at a canal view room, check as to which floor you may be on. If you are on the bottom level, you may be looking across a sidewalk towards the canal as there are rooms at 'street level'. Our room did not have air conditioning, but the weather was cool enough, it was not a problme.

Pleasant hotel service”
This hotel is refurnished old building but is comfortable although it does not completely shield you from the cold outside. It has steep stairs to other rooms but there is lift for some floors. Very friendly staffs - they upgraded my room to a bigger room for my big luggage which they helped carry up the steep stairs to the hotel. Room service is only once every 2 days. Location is very good - very near the bus and tram stations. You can even take the airport bus at the nearest bus station and it costs only 4Euro to the airport. In future I will take this red airport bus that takes you straight to this hotel in less than 45 minutes thus avoiding the hassle of carrying/pushing your luggage from the rail station across the tram tracks and uo the tram to the hotel incurring more expenses. Just take the Red bus with the words Shiphol airport in yellow outside the main entrance of Shiphol airport and it will get you to major areas in Amsterdam.

Friendly staff”
We liked our stay at Quentin. The room was comfortable, the hotel is centrally located with a good view of the canal. The staff were friendly and the Hotel management was kind enough to have our luggage stored before we even checked in. It helped a lot in our travels and saved us a bunch of Euros to spend for other things.

Getting immersed in Dutch culture”
Staying is this hotel gives their guests the opportunity of living in one of those old canal houses in Amsterdam. The room that was assigned to me during my 2 night stays has a huge glass window facing one of Amsterdam's famous canal. Access to the hotel from the airport is pretty easy, just 1 bus ride from the airport where you will need to get off at Leidsplein and walk to the the hotel for about 3 minutes (or less depending on how fast you walk). Staff were very friendly and accommodating. One of them even managed to get me an online ticket to Ann Frank Huis during my arrival at the hotel (where you need to book the ticket online few weeks or months prior your visit). Downside-- no aircon in the room but each room is provided with a small industrial fan. Also, if you can fit in your luggage, bring extension wire because my room only got 1 power outlet (not sure if this applies to all the rooms). Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family who will soon visit Amsterdam.

Great place to stay!”
We loved our stay here. I read other reviews that the hotel rooms were very small and noisy. Yes, the rooms are very small but if you are traveling alone or with another person I think the size is just fine. When we stayed, I heard no noise from other rooms. We also had a balcony that opened to a beautiful view of the canal. If you book here, try and get a balcony view. It was nice to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the water. The location of this hotel was also ideal. It is within walking distance to everything, yet it is a bit tucked away so that you are far away from any of the clubs/nightlife. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel.

Great location”
Very basic hotel with very small rooms. This was fine as most of waking hours spend out and about in Amsterdam. Check in was smooth and reception staff very helpfull. Building has a lift to assist with access. Hotel is located close enough to major area to be very convienient without being affected by the noise or other issues. Stayed a couple of nights and found the hotel easily accessible from the Train station via tram.

the staff in quentin amsterdam hotel is very nice. there are no beverage jug for us in the room, therefore, we have to go to the lobby to get some hot water, the lady in the reception is helpful enough to offer us some hot water to cook our cup-noodles.

Great location”
The location is perfect and central to anywhere you want to go in Amsterdam. It can be noisy at night as Leidseplein and its surrounding areas is open till late. The staff is very helpful with directions. It's the perfect hotel if all you want is a nice bed, clean sheets, comfortable rooms without all the frills of a big hotel. It was perfect for me.
