Great location, good price and facilities”
Marks off for the bathroom that smelt moldy and the lack of a plug in the kitchenette sink. If you pay for a parking space note that the spaces are very small and tough to park in. Also the posters stating a parking ticket is required to be displayed on your dashboard are dated. No such requirement exists.
This is the most owesome place we had stayed. Totally full facilities with laundry machine, dish washibng machine, towel warmer niceee . The staffs even help us when we arrived after receiption hour. The only thing is the parking lots just fit in and there wasnt much in the middle of city and it is quite expensive nzd 25 per night.
No parking near front . Eventually found a paid spot in clifton parking station. After phoning him the Reception man directed us to and waited at back of building so we could unload luggage .
Close to the pier”
We didn't spend much time at the hotel since we arrived very late and we needed to take the ferry at 3 am. But loving the facilities in the room. Very impressed with the fully equipped kitchen. Would love to stay longer if given the chance to.
Air conditioner ”
Had everything we needed for our quick weekend stay except air conditioning with the windows open it was very noisy from the motor way and to hot to have windows closed.very happy with everything else
Comfortable room but in need of update. Rather dark and no comfortable chair or sofa. Good dining table but no desk. First night noisy neighbours but quiet second night. Good wifi and plenty of tea, coffee etc.
First trip to Wellington”
Very helpful staff with Checkin, sightseeing etc.. Parking quite difficult to find. More information would be great. Good apartment with integrated laundromat!
Everything you need is here. ”
Stayed for 2 nights for business trip in a Studio apartment. The room is specious. Has all facilities. Washing machine and the dryer are the best! Caroline was really helpful friendly. I would highly recommend this property for either business trip or travelling with family. Just perfect! Location? In the middle of City. Guest will have access to the gym down the road plus shortcut walk through Lambton Quay St using the elevator of the building opposite (with your hotel key's swipe).
Great for short stay”
We had a two bedroom junior suit for 5 nights while we waited for our house to become available. Free WiFi, central to lambton quay, cleaned daily, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Parking is on site, but we were charged $20 per night for it.
I had three large (heavy!) suitcases, two carry on cases and two backpacks but no offer of assistance to our room on 12th floor with numerous steps to negotiate. Opened our room & immediately realise we have been given the key to an already occupied room! Daughter stays with the bags while I will go down and ask. Simply told "thats your room". Eventually the manager goes to check but first snaps at my daughter, was in there for a very long time, snapped again on his way out and came back down and just said, "get another room". Upon checkout at 8am - no one on reception. Panic as hospital appointment at 9am and asked the day before if I could please leave our luggage there until flight home. Was assured this would not be a problem. By 8.25am I was really upset! I had tried calling three different numbers and an intercom but no response. The Manager turned up at 8.40am and said, "I was upstairs and left the phone down here". NO apology, he just kept walking into the office!
The state of cleanliness of the bathroom was an issue with a rubbish bin not emptied and cleaning issues not being addressed. Also stairway into the bathroom had very high steps although there were only two and there was no handrail to hold onto which was an issue for us as we have leg injuries and felt it was dangerous. The room was very cramped.
Great apartment, with excellent location for KJ Hostel & city centre, help full staff at reception.
Just what we needed”
The apartment was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was equipped with exactly what we needed and the service staff were perfect! It really met our needs.
Great value and location
Great value ”
Due to a mistake about our booking/arrival, we were upgraded at this hotel to a vast and commodious suite instead of the double room we booked, and we were extremely comfortable in it.
Fabulous location - check out Boulcott House bistro & cafe. Easily walkable to Te Papa, war memorial museum, cable car, restaurants/cafes and the waterfront but the studio was a peculiar design with deep steps (like I've never before seen) which would be problematic if you were elderly, or had hip/knee problems and the shower was small and oddly shaped. There were also major rennovations underway which weren't mentioned.
Good Location (CBD Area)”
Serviced apartments. First night we were disturbed by some kind of fighting on the floor above us or beside us, we weren't sure, which means sound proofing is not that top-notch, but bearable, no problem sleeping at all. We got the studio type, it comes with a washer/dryer machine, kitchen. It is fully equipped, designed for long-term rental if you want. Our room was facing the street, so in the weekend at around 3am, there was a couple walking on the street and talking, which we could hear from our room (we were on the 2nd floor). But it's in the city center so everything was accessible - spots like the beehive, the cable car terminal, Wellington museum, Cuba street - can just walk! From the Quest on the Terrace there's a hotel across the street where you can take the lift to go down to Lambton Quay, so you don't need to go around and walk the whole way if you want to go to the center. There is a convenience store just steps from the building, and coffee shops too. Walking distance from a Catholic church. Just minutes away from the airport, no problem if you have luggage just go through the hotel from across the street and take the bus going to the airport, there is ample space for the luggage in the bus. Tiny problem is street parking. It gets filled up fairly quickly. They do have a parking lot but you have to pay. Also there was a strong smell in the hallway that I found nauseating. Convenient and check-in/check-out process was fast.
The room was Ok but I wouldn't stay again, the room had a strange layout and felt like a rabbit warren. I only found out on arrival about the extra charge for the vehicle and the parking was really bad.The room was clean but was well used. In hine sight I would have payed the little extra and stayed somewhere else.
Awful experience ”
The whole building and apartment are required an immediate renovation. For the money I paid, i was very disappointed. The photos in the website are outdated. The worst thing I ever had experienced in this apartment was I discovered a blood stain on my quilt.
