Great location yet lack a smile”
we stayed 3 days in quirinale hotel, love its best location right next to termini central station, highly convenient to take intra-city trains and metro sightseeing around rome. the executive room is spacious and clean, with view of opera house next door. hotel is rich in traditional italian style and decoration, with good variety of breakfast food selection. we would rank the hotel much higher if the staff service with smile. during 3 days, we observed no staff would ever greet hotel guests with 'good morning'. and even when we said 'buon giorno' to hotel staff, they hardly respoonded, which was very odd. it was close to the start of easter holiday, and we found hotel staff get busy and busier when more tourists coming to town. the breakfast session was absolutely 'unforgettable' experience, as we saw hotel staff taking and putting dishes/food in terrible manner, almost like throwing dishes into the plastic drawer, making loud and annoying noise. again we like the hardware - great location with proximity to central train station, metro and well-known archeological sites in walking distance. yet the software - staff service attitude - is hardly acceptable for a four-star hotel.

Beautiful hotel with a classic touch with an excellent location”
Came back from a 4 days vacation in Rome with friends, during which I stayed in this hotel. I enjoyed my stay very much. 1. The hotel has a classic 19th century design that adds to the Rome experience. Hotel lobby and garden is beautiful and spacious. 2. The Room: We ordered the standard room. for 2 people, the room is huge, especially considering the other hotel rooms in the city. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was completely new and well equipped with hot water all through the day. Beautiful curtains and chandelier added to the ambiance. The room and bathroom was very clean. Our room had city view, but we didn't hear the street noise at all. 3. Breakfast: Breakfast was delicious and well presented. It included scrambled eggs, variety of breads, fresh fruits and vegetables, yogurts, cheese, meats, juice and hot drinks. Starting the day having breakfast at the balcony with garden view was just perfect. 4. Service: All hotel staff were very curteaus and helpful. It's not the American "Niceness", but a genuine helpful and efficient staff that is there for you whenever you need anything. 5. Location: Very convenient. we were able to walk to all main attractions in Rome, Except for Vatican. There are many restaurants and coffee shops around the Hotel. Via Nazionale is also a great street for shopping. ATM and pharmacy 2 steps from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome

Great location”
I booked this hotel for a weekend trip with my wife to Rome. The hotel was easily found and a short 5 minute walk from Rome Termini train station. All the city's main attractions were within a 15 minute pleasant walk, except for the Vatican City (a €10 taxi journey). The hotel staff were friendly and our room was large with beautiful decor. The central square within the hotel was perfect for both breakfast or evening drinks. Overall I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location, beautiful lobby, big rooom”
Stayed for 2 nights over new years and have only positive things to stay about the Quirinale. I travel quite a bit around italy - 3rd trip i think to rome - and for the price this was one of the better places ive stayed. I think we lucked out with one of the biggest rooms on the floor (which was enormous) but even without that the proximity to the train station, metro stops and some of the better sights in rome was perfect. Highly recommended.

Excellent Downtown Location”
We chose to stay at Quirinale, remembering it from a previous trip about 13 years ago for its excellent downtown location. Pleasantly surprised to find it was even nicer than we remembered. Desk staff was friendly, attentive, and all spoke English, most very well. Checking was very quick and efficient. Room was large and spacious, entry used electronic techology for key, do not disturb, and energy conservation. Noticed the room electricity required actual room key- couldn't fool it with a credit card. Location is outstanding- less that five minute walk to train station, hop-on hop-off and city bus terminals. Two minutes to taxi stand and Repubblica Metro station. Breakfast was delicious and thorough- many pastries and chocolate, good selection of juices and coffees, a hot line with eggs and sausages, good selection of yogurts, fresh fruits, and cereals. Nice selection of sliced meats and cheeses. Checkin and checkout quick and efficient.

Victorian Style hotel in great location”
we stayed in a mini suite of the hotel for 4 nights before joining a cruise at civitavecchia. the suite is good sized with a separate living area, a dressing room and a large bathroom. the furniture in the room is victorian style and antique. the room is cosy. the hotel is on a busy shopping street. bus stop right outside the hotel. our room is on the first floor facing the street. however, the sound insulation is good and the busy traffic outside did not disturb us at all. there is a church just 1 block away. the church bells ring every hour and the chime did come through. piazzare republique metro station, which is 5 minutes walk from the main train station roma terminii is just 2 minutes walk away. attractions like trevi fountain, spanish steps, vitorro emanuelle are all within 15-20 minutes walk. the dining room is large with a courtyard garden outside. there is a wide variety of bread as well as hot food and cold cut served at buffet breakfast. the front desk staff were very courteous and helpful in showing us direction to various attractions and how to get there. the only downside about our stay is the free wireless internet. the signal strength was not consistent inside the hotel room, and frequently gets disconneted. we would certainly come back to this hotel if we were to visit rome again.

Classy hotel in the centre of Rome”
my husband and i returned to this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary having stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon. we were not let down. we opted for a superior room which is a great size and has beautiful antique furniture although with a lcd tv! on unpacking our cases, a bottle of chilled prosecco was delivered to our room - lovely gesture! the reception area is large and also full of antique furniture (a lovely place to chill out after touring the city). the restaurant is situated within an internal courtyard/garden which is simply divine -very relaxing and calm despite being so close to the city centre. a full choice of breakfast is available - from cereal, to fruit, cakes, cooked - no complaints. we dined in the restaurant for dinner one night and was the best meal of our stay (20% discount for hotel guests) and the service is impeccable. the hotel also has 2 computers were internet access is free alternatively wifi available free of charge. there is also a very small gym - never saw it used. the location of the hotel is ideal - approx 5-10 mins walk from the main train station termini - walking distance to all major sights - trevi fountain, spanish steps, colosseum. the metro is within 2 mins walk of the hotel (republica) which we used to visit the vatican (only 1 euro per journey and saved us 2.2 mile walk!). i would definitely return to this hotel again. great value for money - (we paid for 4 nights), beautiful surroundings, decor and quality service.

My favourite place to stay in Rome”
This was my second stay at this hotel and as I was only staying one night I took a small double. Plenty of room for a short stay and nice bathroom - suggest taking a larger room (overlooking the internal area) for anything longer than one night. Central location close to the Metro and a nice courtyard for a glass of vino or a meal - I highly recommend the Quirinale.

Fabulous location and helpful service”
We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in an executive room. The room was quiet and spotlessly clean. The cleaning staff are very unobtrusive. The location of the hotel is excellent with a bus stop outside the front of the hotel and a train station close by. The staff are very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to assist us. The outdoor garden - although small - makes for a nice retreat in the busy city of Rome. The downsides of the hotel are the WiFi and breakfast. The WiFi works well in the foyer but on the 5th floor- where our bedroom was located- it was impossible to get Internet access. The downstairs lounge area is comfortable so you can sit in comfort whilst using WiFi in the lounge. The breakfast was adequate but not of the standard that one would expect that is in keeping with the hotel. Despite these two issues I would recommend this hotel especially if you can afford to upgrade to an executive suite.

Safe. Close to main attractions. Close to transit”
This hotel is 40 min walk from the Vatican. It is a nice walk where you walk by lots of restaurants, shops, as well as the Piazza Venezia. If you take the scenic route, you can easily see the Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, etc. The terminal bus/train station is 5-10min walk (easy to get to the airport). The cheapest way to get to the airport is via Terravision company online for 4 euro per person (It is 6 euro if you buy it in person.)--the bus departs from the same central station "Termini". Don't expect this to be a glamorous hotel. It is an old hotel with cheap furniture trying to give you the feel of being in an old Roman nobility's home (which it was, hundreds of years ago). However it is clean and comfortable.

Ticks all the boxes”
The Quirinale is fantastic! Beautifully appointed, well situated for the visitor to Rome and handy to everything you require. The rooms were great, the staff were excellent. The morning breakfast buffet could do with a change of menu every now and then but the quality and quantity were good.

Charming centrally located hotel built in 1865”
Close to Rome Termini for intercity and airport train transfers, local bus networks and many of the popular tourist locations. Breakfast is included and offers a good range of options overlooking the central charming central courtyard. Beautiful entry foyer and public areas and rooms have high ceilings and are well appointed.

Exceptional”
I have stayed at the Quirinale hotel on many occasions, the only complain I have is that this time the room allocated did not have a bath but only a very, very small shower which was so small that it was very difficult to have a shower since you kept hitting yourself with the wall etc. or the tap.

Location, age, class”
Have you walked in the footsteps of the King of Prussia? We have when waking the halls of Quirinale. This hotel is an old lady aging gracefully but still walking in all the right social circles. The location is perfect the service impeccable and the rooms are clean and tidy (tho small). Dinner is hotel fare, take that as you will, but the location cannot be beaten. Enjoy the feeling of granduer but don’t look up an old ladies skirts, as she may be sagging in some places...

Hot room, good service”
stayd with my husbund 4 nights in march. it was quite windy and chilly in rome so the room was heated very hot, had to keep the window open all day and night to be able to be in the room. also, i would have been happy to find some information about the hotel itself, the old beautiful building made me want to know about the history of it, but there was not any info in the roomn, not even about the breakfast and the services of the hotel. otherwise i was very content to stay here. the location was great, just beside the repubblica metro and buses passing the front door, a lot of decent priced restaurants on the small streets near hotel (forget the restaurants on via nacionale, they'll rob you and service was terrible). hotel is beautiful and worth the money, service perfect.

Third time”
This is t he third time I have stayed at The Quirinale. Each time exceptionally good stay. The breakfasts are a little boring and the bread nothing special, but the location and the care for customers was really attentive. I love it and will go next time I travel to Rome. I live in Australia, so not often enough!

Beautiful Classic Hotel”
Delighted that they upgraded our room and on the 5th floor with a garden view. The room is spacious, clean with classic wardrobe/cabinets, chandelier and furnitures. Toilet has been renovated yet retain its old classic charm. I just love this hotel. Beautiful Classic Italian Hotel. Hard to find such a hotel in Rome for the price paid...value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
