Not really value for money”
The housekeeping and dining staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. If you're only after diving or snorkeling etc, then this place is perfect as it backs onto it's own private corals. However if you're after other things in the area as well, then this place is off the main roads and a tricycle is required to even get to town. Down the road you can walk to several eateries. Otherwise, you can go else where for cheaper. The rooms are basic, the linen and towels are threadbare, the pool is far too deep (we travelled with kids) as it's used for their diving classes. The pool view bungalow is not all it's cracked up to be, it's next to the main entrance and generator so dust, noise and traffic are always right next to you, especially the loud generator which goes into the night. The breakfast buffet is also very basic but enough for a meal.
For the Divers & snorklers in Moalboal, these Resort has a perfect settings to enjoy sea & land activities.Personal are very friendly in overall. They are just walking away to the center of Panagsama for souveniers & Restaurants and very close to the area for snorkelers enjoying the Sardine Run & colourful& lively corals
I'd stay here again”
Far enough from the backpacker crowd so it is quiet at night. Also some of the best reef I have seen in the world is directly in front of the hotel. Lovely pool. The dinner was average. The breakfast was average though. I think this is because they cater for westerners when we really wanted Philippines food. The room was lovely and the staff were decent. I'll come back and stay again.
Beautiful Resort with Not So Great Service”
The sentiments I felt upon arriving held true throughout the stay: 1) wow this place is gorgeous and 2) the staff don’t really give a f***. Whoever cleaned the room did an ok job and the European lady at the diving center was cheerful, but I felt like the Filipino staff forgot to deliver service. And I am Filipino myself so I felt even more annoyed with their treatment. The Filipino staff at the resort I had recently gone to in Bohol and the Cebu City hotel I had transferred from were above and beyond in their friendliness and helpfulness. I was jarred when upon checking in, the front desk displayed non-accommodating body language. I wasn’t even sure I was being acknowledged until she started asking for paperwork. The Filipina in the dive shop seemed to be annoyed answering my questions. I felt the worst when the European guests were clearly being attended to during brunch while I was just looked at with scrutinizing eyes every time I looked over.
Dive Holiday - June 2019”
The dive shop professionals and boat staff are first rate. Most of the dive locations were real nice, especially Pescador Island. We were surprised to learn that our Open Water certifications did not permit us to go beyond 18 meters. The breakfast buffet is great. We did not eat dinners here, as the restaurant windows were never open to the breeze. The bar is a nice perch, but was under renovation. Overall, the entire resort has a great view; grounds are ordinary, and the resort is nicely removed from the noisy night scene up the road in Moalboal. Clean rooms with AC and efficient showers and reliable warm water when desired. Only bad experience was the driver who picked us up at the Cebu airport did not meet us outside baggage claim. Repeated calls to the resort to understand the driver's status went unanswered. The lack of communication from the resort and/or driver cost us over an hour, so we arrived at the resort too late for the afternoon dive.
Excellent Dive Center”
While being a diver for 35 years, this place is one of the best dive centers in this kind. Although there are many diving services around and the price of this place may be a little higher than some other places, I would recommend this place for the serious divers. Very professional staff and you will know what I mean.
Great dive resort”
You get your own diving box on arrival with all the essential diving equipment that you will need for your dives: booties, bcd, mask, weights, etc. You use the same equipment throughout your dives with them so you don't have to try everything on everyday and run around making sure you have everything and that everything fits. The staff are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to meet your needs. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is a bit of the main strip but only a short walk from it. I will definitely go diving with them again!
Resort put us in a different (lower type) room than we booked and paid”
We had a confirmed and paid reservation for their Premier Suite which was the most expensive among their room types and had the best view. When we got to the property the front desk staff explained that they can only give us a different room (lower type amenities and no view) because they had made a "double booking" and a the room was occupied. Even after getting a call from Agoda after we reported the issue, they were even hesitant to refund the difference in rates between the original room and the one they gave us. We had to demand for it.
My fiancee and I have stayed in Moalboal previously but this was our first time at Quo Vadis, and we couldn't have had a better stay. We loved it so much we extended our stay an additional night. We had a superior room with a patio and a view of the ocean which was about 100 feet from our room. The room was clean and cozy, and the staff was warm, friendly and accommodating. The food was good and you couldn't possibly have a more beautiful view while eating your breakfast. We rented snorkel gear and saw sea turtles and lots of exotic fish just feet from the beach entry, it was absolutely amazing! If you're planning a trip to Moalboal or Panagsama Beach, do yourself a favor at book a room at Quo Vadis, you won't be disappointed.
Loved loved loved this place. The food is not the best here but there are loads of places 2 min walk from here that are good. The staff are amazing especially at the diving cetre. Really had the best time here. Saw turtles amazing corals and fish and to top it up the sardine run.
Perfect Location to wind down”
Located on the end of the beach which is quieter and perfect for a relaxing holiday. No music blasting, short stroll to the more happening place. Beach is pretty and not crowded with people, unlike the happening area. Pool is a great place to chill out after whole day outside. Dive centre is well equipped and neat. Only down side is cat fight outside my window at 12am and rooster woke me up at 6am. haha
Nice and Great...”
It is nice that I booked this resort since we were first timer in exploring Moalboal area and the Panagsama White Beach. We've noticed that most of the customer of this resort are foreigner and scuba lover. Some locals impression on this resort is expensive. But for me with proper budgeting and planning it will be worth it in every pesos. They also have great staff in terms that they willing to assist you on whatever concern you may have on their resort. Great facilities and cleanliness from their resort room, restaurant, pool area and up to the scuba materials. The bad things that I noticed is that the road going in and out to the resort is to rough and bumpy, hope that the local government will improve the road network for everybody convenience. If i given a chance I will try their scuba diving program for beginners in the future.
this place is for divers and outside people, its not for staying in your room and resting”
this place appears to be great for divers and outside people. beautiful ocean views, good food, great staff. like most filipino roads getting here means a bit of rough driving. no problem if you are traveling commercial, not as easy to find if you are driving yourself. no tv, no room wifi, this is not a place to stay in your room. the room is comfortable and clean but in and of itself provides no entertainment unless you get the room with ocean view
Loved Moalboal and loved the Quo Vadis hotel, excellent location directly on the beach front, walk down the hotel's steps and into the ocean. Lovely restaurant with breath taking views over the ocean, food was nice and good staff. Hotel is a short walk to the collection of bars and restaurants that Moalboal has to offer. Would stay again and would recommend.
Best snorkeling here.”
The best snorkeling I’ve ever experienced right outside the resort. The sardine run is a couple minute walk but for the best coral and fish, walk straight out from the resort. The garden view rooms were too far to receive WiFi and we regret not getting aircon.
Great resort, but......”
The resort is great, the food is excellent;however, the ambiance in the dining room can be greatly improved by instructing the wait staff not to have shouted conversations across the dining room or to have a gossip fest at high volume at one of the dining tables. Ruins the meal when it is difficult to hear your companion because of the wait staff. The facilities are beautiful, the reception staff is EXCEPTIONAL. I will stay there again, but hope the management reads these reviews and takes the appropriate trains steps with their wait staff.
Very good stay - nice hotel, super well placed”
Very good stay in this hotel the room is simple but big and the shower working well wifi was strong where we were (our room was not far from the reception) the pool is great walking distance to all the restaurants amazing snorkelling just at the level of the hotel highly recommend
Simply The Best”
Great location, wished we could have stayed for longer but time did not permit. Excellent food and good service. Fabulous just to walk down to the lovely beach. We enjoyed the trip to the Sardine run and Turtle swimming, all arranged perfectly by the hotel. Will certainly recommend this hotel to our friends and come back another time.
Nice and quiet location ”
The location is not close to downtown so it is very quiet, but could walk. The hotel has its own dive site but a little bit more expensive than the shop in downtown for trade off of convenience. The shower is good and also have hot water.
We only stayed one night but it was a great experience, excellent location and very good food. The access to the beach was excellent and we could swim in the clear waters of the sea and see the turtle as well as relaxing by the hotel pool. The staff were so helpful.
