Suprisingly quiet, clean - recently renovated”
We live in Phils and travel to Cebu about 3x a year. Mandaue has a number of hotel offerings, but R Suites is our new favorite. The rooms are kind of small, but clean and comfortable in this newly renovated hotel. It is located on one of the busier streets in Mandaue - but because it is behind the store fronts and has an open air courtyard - one is away from the sounds and smells of the street. The hotel has good aircon, does not turn off the room power when one leaves the room. It has an attentive and obliging staff. Room service is quick. There were a number of menu items that were temporarily unavailable – because the café caters to the hotel and not passersby. The location advantage is there is one pharmacy next door, one across the street and a Prince Warehouse - a store that sells EVERYTHING from hardware to food to kitchen appliance to clothes at pretty good prices (think mini-Big K or Wal-Mart). The location on A Cortes means there are jeepneys and taxis aplenty. Being on a major street has pretty easy access to Mactan Airport, Shopping centers and the City Center – although traveling to ‘Downtown’ will take a while. We like it and will stay there again.

Hidden, Clean and Quiet”
This was our second stay at R Suites. We were presently surprised that the hotel honored our pre-arrival requests. The rooms are on the small side, but average for this type of hotel. The beds are comfortable; rooms are clean and have sizeable CRs (bathrooms). There are three plusses to the CR. First, there is good water pressure. Second, there is a hot shower (that works). Third, being tall, it is nice to find a hotel that has tall mirrors with good lighting for shaving. We have stayed in much more expensive hotels without those features. ‘R’ is located on the road to the old bridge to Mactan Island – so getting to the airport and beach resorts is as easy as staying on Mactan if one is not staying in a beach resort. The location is an easy taxi ride to many malls (Pacific Mall, J Centre, SM City, Ayala and others). It is also easy to get to three of the most used ‘Government’ facilities, Philippine CFO, DFA and the US Embassy Extension. Locally, there is a ‘Prince Warehouse’ across the street that sells everything from food to stoves to stereos (US – think small Wal-Mart or Kmart). There are two pharmacies and numerous street food vendors selling lechon manok (roast chicken), liempo (roast pork) and more. The food in the R Café is primarily Filipino, but it is good and right size portions. Breakfast is fixed (limited choices), but flavorful. This is one of the FEW places we have found that serves BREWED coffee standard instead of instant or 3-1 (Instant coffee, cream and sugar in one package. We would recommend, and stay in this hotel again. There are no pools, spas or gardens.

New and clean hotel with friendly staff”
The hotel is in Mandaue City, about 15 minutes away from the airport and 20 minutes away from the IT Park. There are numerous transport options in and around the area since the hotel is located along a major thoroughfare. The facilities are very much basic but are new and sparkling clean. Rooms are small but have ample space to move and to store luggage. Bathrooms are equipped with hot and cold shower, towels and basic toiletries. No in-room safe and refrigerator though. Super friendly staff. I didn't have cash at the time of check-in so they allowed me to provide the key deposit the following day. Also, when I felt sick and needed hot water for some cup noodles, the front-desk personnel was quick to respond.

Nice Cozy Place”
the room's are nice and everything is brand new. the rooms are small but have everything that you require. the hotel is on the main road and accessible to taxi's , jeepney's etc. it is about 30-40 minutes ride to cebu city. the food is not bad, the staff is very friendly and will try to accomodate you if you have any requests. rooms are always clean, don't smell like smoke and overall all the place is very clean. stayed there with my wife for 2 days and fred was great to help us out.

My stay at hotel R Suites was comfortable and relaxing...no fuss like any big hotels or business hotels..it's simplicity speaks for itself: simple but with ambiance (clean white walls, minimal decor, good room size with basic amenities...it's all there what you needed.

i hadn't expected anything with this hotel coz the comment other user wrote here was not good and the price is cheap. But!!! this hotel was really nice!! the room conditionwas very tidy and great! and the breakfast was nice! Above all things, all the staff and clark was really kind. every staff was always smiling that made me smile as well. anyway this hotel is absolutely the best totle with this price.

New Hotel - Pleasant & friendly Staff”
A new hotel - conveniently located to airport. Room as would expect at this time clean and well presented, a bit small and could do with shelves for storage. would appreciate a bigger towel. Breakfast is okay would like the option of tea not just coffee. Staff are all very pleasant. Major selling point proximity to airport for that early morning departure.

It's really nice ! so reasonable price and nice attitude staffs. it has a samll air conditioner but it was enough. although the bathroom was quite small and no bathtub, it was okay that only for 1 night just staying.

It was a nice stay here. I arrived really early in the morning from the airport and they were up. The taxi had a hard time finding the place. For the price it is a good stop over room. Got breakfast included in the price which wasnt bad. Had a tv in the room and aircon. Have to smoke outside. Not bad but not great. Just ok

Our stay was good, small rooms and no safe”
We had just one night, but its very close to the airport and many shopping malls. The rooms did not have any safe, and it was so small rooms, that we could not have all our bags folded at once. And there is no refrigerator, which made our beverages warm. Else it was affordable, og a nice hotel. Did not try their café, but i did certainly not like the design of the café - Every furniture and walls, floor, ceiling was completely white..

The hotel is well priced with good facilities. A little far from the center of town but close to airport and close to taxi service (meter is best). Good and clean hotel with own breakfast facility. Ensure you ask if breakfast is included as staff failed to inform me that I had free breakfast included even thought they saw me go out and get coffee every morning I was there! I wish they would have informed me before check out!!!

The hotel has a nice architecture and it is well maintained. Their staffs are very accommodating and friendly. Housekeeping is 24/7 available to attend to our needs. The reservation comes along with a free breakfast for 2, the management is so kind to let us use the coupons even at night. :) The things that I don't like that much with the hotel are the rooms that are so small, then there is only one electricity outlet available, no hair dryer and troublesome toilet. Hope we can see the improvements on our next visit.

good place,breakfast inclusives and we were booked room for 2 and also agodas page reading good for 2..but we had really fight to get breakfast for both of us,they try to got 140p from another,only when owner was sayin,okera,we got it,also in page reading "free bottle water in room" ..so 1.day we got 1 bottle,small,0,3l and then gone 2 days and nothing,after that again had to ask from many workers,befor we got it! and also another days what we were there,water have to ask,not coming itself..and when we got that room,there was only 1 towel,ofcourse we asked another..after 6 night when was check-out,they asked 50p coz of that towel..so good looking place,but this kind of service not belongs together

So-so room and service”
This hotel is around 15 minutes away from Cebu City. The staff were nice all-in-all but we asked for Room Make-up. I went back around 12midnight since it was Sinulog and I was surprised to see the same beddings, towels and bathroom rug that I left in the morning. I called the Housekeeping and told them about the situation. Gladly, somebody came up immediately and cleaned the room (but the guest need not do so since we asked for Make-up room) but the rugs and towels and beddings were not changed since the cupboard (?) was already locked, says the lady. The following morning, we asked for room service for breakfast and the lady on the frontdesk told us that they can't bring our breakfast in the room because they are very busy in the hotel. Food is okay, but not super. They serve 3-in-1 coffee, not brewed.
