nice hotel, great location”
This hotel is not the Radisson anymore, it was bought out a year ago so I'm not sure why Agoda still has it listed as a Radisson. It is now called The Galmont Hotel and Spa. Great location, beautiful lobby, room, and breakfast location. The staff were very helpful and kind. It is priced a bit more than other hotels but it is nice with lots of amenities and in a great location.
We had a lovely stay at the Radisson in Galway. Room excellent and clean. We were facilitated with early occupancy. Staff are very professional. Breakfast was excellent and a good variety of food. Very close to centre of Galway city. We had a very enjoyable stay
The Galmont is very near everything, 5 minute walk from Eyre Square. There are plenty of great pubs around do you don’t have to go further into town. The room was spacious and breakfast next morning was lovely. The only downside was that we had to queue for about half hour to get a table for breakfast.
Problem with check-in & room had twin beds instead of double”
I booked this as a gift for my husbands 40th birthday. We spent 20-25 mins at reception because they could find no record of my booking. The person dealing with us offered us a complimentary drink while we waited. We then left for the races later than we intended to & but were assured that our room would be there for us when we returned. When we got back & got our room no. We headed there to find that we had a twin room instead of double. I didn't bring it to the attention of the hotel until next morning because it was late & I wasn't willing to be moved or wait for a change of beds or whatever the solution would have been. When I spoke with a member of staff upon checkout, he casually said that if I had rang they would have changed the 2 single MATRESSES to a double. He didn't charge me for the overnight parking fee of 5 euros & he obviously thought this was sufficient even though I had explained that we had already had problems when we arrived. I think it would have been only fair that my double room would have been there for us after the confusion at the start.
Great stay at the Radisson. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Check in/out was fast and painless. Rooms were very clean and beds were so comfortable. The hotel is right beside the bus station. Its about a ten minute walk to the main shopping/bar street, so the hotel is not bang in the center, but is a very safe and easy walk. The leisure center is lovely, again very clean. Only thing I could fault was charging €3 for a swimming hat. Gorg outdoor hot tub. Residents bar after hours. Slightly pricey per night, but I would go back for sure.
I taught parking was included in the price we had to pay €9 for parking at d hotel a hidden cost we weren’t told about everything else was ok I will be back again
Excellent location ”
Spa, pool and gym all available. Only. five minutes walk to Eyre square. Ideal with young children’ as you can walk to the center and back in short time if needed.
Great hotel ”
We had a fantastic night in the hotel. The business room is definitely worth the money. Would recommend to anyone
The hotel is a little worn but was clean and the family size room was spacious. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Great hotel , close to city , great breakfast. ”
I would stay again no problem , cool hotel with very nice staff . Would like to return on pleasure diff , pool amazing , bar seemed to be good for cocktails & young feel to it.
Great hotel close to main tourist area. ”
Hotel is well kept , had great service , loads off space in rooms. Food was great , bar was livly with piano Playing. Car park easy under hotel. Though had to pay for it extra € Walking distance to city centre 5 mins.
We were staying here for 3 nights and it was convenient walk to restaurants pubs and coach stations. We had an incident where the waitress didn't pour coffee as she should have and the coffee pot was so bad that hot coffee spilled over my wife 's body. Sad state . But the hotel supervisor provided ointments for the burns and asked if we should see a doctor .
Convenient and pleasant”
Loved the place, extremely kind and service-minded staff in the lounge bar when we went there for s light bite. We had been 'on the road' for three weeks and Rsfisson was like a paradise to us. The bed! The bath!
Nice hotel, not the nicest staff”
Pros-good location, beautiful water view, upgraded for our anniversary! Restaurant was very good for dinner. Massages at spa were nice Cons-staff was unfriendly and uncomforting upon check in and throughout our stay.
We had a marvellous view from our room, everywhere was within easy reach, in walking distance, will certainly stay there again
Hotel tired needs a revamp, staff could have been friendlier ”
Rooms very tired and old, needs a revamp considering the price. Staff could have been more welcoming and the appearance of some were very grubby and even unwashed looking especially in the dining area.
I love it..Just Perfect
Everything but the the mayhem at breakfast. Buffet style so overcrowded at food counter.
The outdoor hot tub was nice, but staff were so slow, and we also got charged for the parking while we had paid a lot for a room (really greedy). Not worth it.
Great location. Great breakfast.”
Great stay, staff were very friendly & helpful. Fab breakfast.
