nice hotel, great location”

This hotel is not the Radisson anymore, it was bought out a year ago so I'm not sure why Agoda still has it listed as a Radisson. It is now called The Galmont Hotel and Spa. Great location, beautiful lobby, room, and breakfast location. The staff were very helpful and kind. It is priced a bit more than other hotels but it is nice with lots of amenities and in a great location.

The Galmont is very near everything, 5 minute walk from Eyre Square. There are plenty of great pubs around do you don’t have to go further into town. The room was spacious and breakfast next morning was lovely. The only downside was that we had to queue for about half hour to get a table for breakfast.

Problem with check-in & room had twin beds instead of double”

I booked this as a gift for my husbands 40th birthday. We spent 20-25 mins at reception because they could find no record of my booking. The person dealing with us offered us a complimentary drink while we waited. We then left for the races later than we intended to & but were assured that our room would be there for us when we returned. When we got back & got our room no. We headed there to find that we had a twin room instead of double. I didn't bring it to the attention of the hotel until next morning because it was late & I wasn't willing to be moved or wait for a change of beds or whatever the solution would have been. When I spoke with a member of staff upon checkout, he casually said that if I had rang they would have changed the 2 single MATRESSES to a double. He didn't charge me for the overnight parking fee of 5 euros & he obviously thought this was sufficient even though I had explained that we had already had problems when we arrived. I think it would have been only fair that my double room would have been there for us after the confusion at the start.

Great Hotel”

Good location, great breakfast, comfy beds

Great stay at the Radisson. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Check in/out was fast and painless. Rooms were very clean and beds were so comfortable. The hotel is right beside the bus station. Its about a ten minute walk to the main shopping/bar street, so the hotel is not bang in the center, but is a very safe and easy walk. The leisure center is lovely, again very clean. Only thing I could fault was charging €3 for a swimming hat. Gorg outdoor hot tub. Residents bar after hours. Slightly pricey per night, but I would go back for sure.

Pleasure”

We were staying here for 3 nights and it was convenient walk to restaurants pubs and coach stations. We had an incident where the waitress didn't pour coffee as she should have and the coffee pot was so bad that hot coffee spilled over my wife 's body. Sad state . But the hotel supervisor provided ointments for the burns and asked if we should see a doctor .

Rooms very tired and old, needs a revamp considering the price. Staff could have been more welcoming and the appearance of some were very grubby and even unwashed looking especially in the dining area.
