Perfect Honeymoon Get Away”
My husband and I had to change our hotel last minute in Edinburgh, but the staff at the Radisson Collection were amazing & extremely accommodating. They took our bags and even put them in our room for us. The view over the royal mile was beautiful as well. The staff went above and beyond for us. The hotel was absolutely stunning and just a short walk from the castle and all the buses/trains. Its perfect for the touristy traveler. This was my first time out of the US and changing hotels last minute was scary, but I can not thank the staff and hotel enough for easing all my worries. I WILL be booking with them again!

Dcember at the Missoni Edinburgh”
We were keen to try the Missoni having watched it being built whilst we were living in Edinburgh. Having now moved away, we took the opportunity for a short trip in December 2009 and managed to get a two night stay via Agoda. It's the cheapest price, so there does not appear to be much discounting going on. We checked in at noon to find we could get straight in to our room; the staff said the hotel was pretty quiet that day. The rooms were a pretty standard size, adequate but well laid out with a King size bed, armchair, desk chair and a sliding mirror wardrobe/shelving set up. Stylish decor and very comfortable, with a multi-function tv and wireless internet. (Great selection of free movies available, with some very up to date titles; we could have stayed in and watched loads!) Excellent coffee machine and a complimentary mini bar with water, beer and soft drinks (a refreshing change from the usual overpriced offerings). I also took advantage of the complimentary laundry service (2 items per day) and found them returned promptly and well pressed. Ordered room service on the first night, which was ok, but nothing spectacular, however it did turn up quickly, hot and nicely presented. Bathroom great, with large walk in shower, bathrobes and slippers, great toiletries and good towels. Excellent magnifying mirror too. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but had a couple of drinks in the bar; usual hotel prices but the cocktails I had were very good and the service was very friendly and quick. Checkout was efficient, the bill was correct and we were offered storage for our bags until later that day. All in all, we would be very happy to stay here again whenever we can find an excuse to visit Edinburgh!

Great location with spacious rooms”
the hotel is in an enviable position just off the royal mile and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. additional small touches are welcome such as coffee making machine/free soft drinks in minibar/bathrobes. reception staff and concierge were friendly and helpful. the only downside is the ridiculous charge of for onsite overnight parking. on my last stay in edinburgh an ncp car park.

Hiqh quality, modern hotel on the Royal Mile”
being edinburgh residents, my wife and i were curious about this hotel as it was being built, just in the middle of the royal mile. we decided to spash out for our anniversary and were very happy we did. service, comfort, fixtures and restaurant are all up to 5 star level, so you will not be disappointed. if you are looking for an alternative to one of the older 5* hotels on princes street, this is your best bet. you will remember it!

Fantastic, chic, fun”
Hotel Missoni is a fantastic hotel in the middle of the old town in Edinburgh. The Missoni decor in the public areas is whimsical, but the rooms are chic and the linens, bathrobes, etc. are all gorgeous. I can't get over how nice everyone was - no attitude here from the staff, who were all incredibly helpful. Great drinks at the bar, too.

Exactly as the photos show! Perfect!”
hotel is placed on the royal mile, so away from hustle and bustle of busy roads, but another going on to not feel away from everything. also, right amongst all the culture of edinbugh too! the service was fantastic. greeted when we arrived and service with a smile as well. bags were taken to a hold as we could not access our room (as needed cleaned) till later on. they still checked us in, and then they called later to inform us our room was available. on arrival and picking up our keys, they had already taken our bags up for us. the room was amazing, spotless, modern, funky, stylish, perfect. amazing views from our windows as well. the service at the bar was brilliant, good chat, and good advice on drinks i.e. beers, cocktails etc. did not eat there for dinner as booked previously elsewhere, but had breakfast in bed the following morning which was lovely! i would definitely book to stay here again, no question.

First Fringe”
We've stayed at this hotel since before it was the G&V and found it more enjoyable this time. The staff is amazing. Nothing is an impossible request. They do all this with smiles and appreciation for the guest. The breakfast is perfect - buffet and/or hot from the kitchen. Add all this to the location and you have the best ever. Just about everything you want to do in Edinburgh is within walking distance of the hotel. We are so glad we stayed here for our first Fringe. We felt we were in the heart of the action. And the views from every room we've stayed in (past and present) are great.

Excellent. Unfortunately, we were only there one ”
This is such an interesting hotel. The design of everything is so outstanding. The room was a pleasure to stay in and the bathroom was beautiful. I found things to take pictures of everywhere. All the little luxuries in the room were much appreciated. The staff was friendly, conscientious and helpful. It was very central to events and sights in Edinburgh. My only regret is that we were only there one day and had to leave too early in the morning even to try breakfast. Please don't change the Missoni design and style. I love it and I'm sure I must be among many.

Stylish hotel in great location”
The hotel is excellently located on the Royal Mile. The Edinburgh castle is a short walk away and the shops are round the corner. The rooms were a touch small but very stylish. They gave us free water, coke and San Pellegrino flavoured juice and milk daily. The shower was nice with a rain feel. Overall a good experience other than the fact that breakfast was pretty expensive if you went for the full English.

Great location and comfortable surroundings”
You couldn't pick a better spot if you are interested in the Edinburgh castle. It resides at the base of the street that leads to the castle. I arrived late on a Saturday afternoon so the choice of rooms was limited. I was put in a room that looked out over an interier courtyard and a poorly placed full length mirror that reflected you sleeping in bed. It was very disconcerting to see yourself reflected when you rolled over and happened to wake up. I advised the front desk that I wasn't happy with the room choice. I didn't have any options first night but James was great and changed my room the next morning to a room with a view. It was a much better room and the full length mirror was on the side so not a problem. The staff was very friendly. The morning buffet was not really worth 14 pounds but one of the staff gave me a cup of the small muffins to go which was a nice snack for later in the day. Rooms were quiet. I didn't hear any sounds of TV's or talking. Windows were well insulated. Didn't really hear too much traffic even though I was facing the busy street. They changed the name of the hotel on me a week before I arrived and as I was already travelling, I wasn't aware of it. Took me a bit longer to find it because of that. Beds weren't as comfortable as I expected. Overall, I'd recommend as a good location to spend a few days.

Exceptional Hotel!”
We got a free upgrade on one of the rooms and I have to say that the room we got was amazing! With an unblocked view of the sunrise, I have to say that this was one of my favorite views in Edinburgh. The beds were cosy and the service staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is just a stone's throw away from some of the best restaurants and pubs such as the Devil's Advocate and The Outsider. Definitely recommend if you are a couple!

Great location hotel for all areas of Edinburgh”
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, shame it has no pool like our usual hotel in Edinburgh. Great reception staff. The only downside to our stay was the cocktail bar where the staff took ages to serve you and when they did they got it wrong (tried to give us someone elses bill) Restaurant was excellent food and service and would reccommend.

luxury hotel for the modernist”
booked a two night stay for a friends birthday bash. my first point of contact was with the very friendly and helpful check in staff. the room i was allocated 337 was in the older part of the complex and on a slightly lower level than the main corridor which included 8 steps to get to my door. it looks onto the royal mile. nice extras which included the contents of the fridge, soft drinks and crisps. the nespresso machine was very useful. great fluffy towels and dressing gowns. really wish i could stay here more often.

Great staff, fantastic location”
It went great. The front desk was very helpful. The hotel is a few blocks away from the Edinburgh castle. Hop on Hop off buses stop across the hotel. The sheets were lovely, top notch. Black out curtains helped for a good night's rest. Only problem with this hotel is the bathroom water heater. It's finicky.

Beautiful hotel, good service, thought not so sati”
The staff at Missoni Hotel were extremely friendly and flexible. The location was also great. It was location on the Royal Mile, just 10 minutes walk from the train station, and surrounded by shops and attractions. The mini bar with soft drinks and crisps was free, so were the movies. The only 2 things that made our stay not so perfect were the food quality and the room we were allocated. We had dinner in the Italian Restaurant and have to say, it does not match up to the reputation. The lobster linguini was disappointing, with small pieces of lobster meat size of finger tips. We were allocated a disabled room, and the sink was far too low and too small. Shower was also not user friendly. The toilet was broken and we had to remove the panel to fix it ourselves. All in all nice hotel with very good service and fantastic amenities. I would probably still go back.
