Great stop-over hotel”
while i was first a little worried when i was traveling down a tiny run-down road to get to rafael mansion, i was surprised when i actually got there. the room was much larger than i expected and complete with a mini fridge with water and coke already inside. there was even some cup ramen which entertained me a bit. they also serve breakfast, but i never tried so i can't speak for it's quality. when i checked out, the staff was very helpful. they helped me map out how to get to where i wanted and called me a taxi. overall, i would go back if i ever needed a night's sleep near the airport.

Warm Welcome”
I flew in at midnight and chose a cheap hotel near the airport knowing that the next day I would travel into the heart of Bangkok. So why spend the extra money just for one night and all the cab fare. The Rafael was clean and quiet - Always try and stay on a higher floor where possible in humid countries like Thailand - no bugs. The bar fridge had a couple of cans of Coke and water and free noodle cups. It's not much but it's nice of them to provide it for free. Unlike the Asia Hotel that will rip you off for 55baht. Internet was also free at the Asia Hotel get ready - 200baht for 20 minutes (pretty close to $7 US). Sure maybe foreign travelers have money but I'd far rather support the family owned Rafael over the Asia Hotel which nickels and dimes you to death. I am writing this review from a pay by the hour internet cafe in Siam at 60 baht an hour. As others have said there is nothing around the Rafael and the cabbie took 20 minutes to get there. If you take the cab from the airport they give the driver the slip of where to go and how long it should take - 23 minutes was the time on the slip and he did it in about that. During the day it might take longer given the crazy traffic of Bangkok. I did not try the breakfast so I can't comment. I would mainly use this hotel as a stopover but you get more than you pay for. Considering it is about $US a night it was considerably better than some $60 hotels in the U.S. And they don't give you free Coke or service with a smile. The owner also helped me get a cab and told me how to get where I was going.

Great Transit Hotel close to Airport”
I had an early morning flight so Rafael Mansion Bangkok Airport hotel was the perfect choice. This is the perfect place to transit to the airport for an overnight layover, as the taxi ride is only about 10 minutes away. The hotel is clean with a friendly and helpful staff who even helped call some food delivery for us in the lobby. The price of the hotel is inexpensive too. Perfect Transit hotel.

Near airport, friendly staff”
If you need a hotel near Bangkok airport for an early flight Rafael Mansion is a good choice. I asked for a taxi at 5 AM and when I went down at 4:30 the taxi was already waiting and the night manager (a very nice lady) was there to make sure. The hotel is clean and rooms are nice. But...be advised this is not really a tourist hotel. It is in an industrial zone. The staff is not knowledgeable about things tourists would be interested in. There is no restaurant (you can walk 200 meters and across a busy street to another hotel which does have a nice restaurant). To get to downtown Bangkok and the sites of touristic interest you take a short taxi ride (which they will be glad to call) to the Skytrain.

Great Place”
Staff were super friendly and arranged taxis for us with ease. I go back and forth between Pattaya and BKK to pick up friends from airport and just recently discovered this hotel. For the price it can not be beat. Not far from airport and the friendly staff arranged airport transfer taxi for us at reasonable price. The breakfast was excellent and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay at a great price near the airport.

Very good Airport Hotel”
we stayed here one night before our flight from bangkok suvanamburi airport. the hotel is quite close to the airport and can organise a taxi for any time you need it. we were surprised about our nice room which was quite spacious for this good price. it was perfectly clean, as well as the bathroom. even if it's a kind of airport hotel and people will be arriving and leaving all the time, we spent a very quiet night there. there are not a lot of restaurants around but the receptionists can order some food from outside for you.

Perfect when you need to stay near the airport”
we were scheduled to land in bangkok at 0045 and fly back out again 14 hours later so we looked around and booked here. it was a 5 minute taxi (baht including the typical baht charge) from the airport. we arrived at around 0130 and were greeted by a really friendly guy at the reception. we checked into our room and left the next morning. the room was clean and spacious - just what we needed. we guy was at the reception the morning after and he happily booked our taxi for us and waved us goodbye as we left. it was a very laid back place with a great atmosphere. later that day, in chiang mai, i realised i'd left some quite expensive clothing in the wardrobe (rush rush). we got someone to call them and the guy said he had the clothing and that he'd keep it for me - brilliant. highly recommended!

Close to airport ”
10 minutes to airport, Clean, very nice staff. It's located off the main road so is a short walk to the convenience store and street food. Hotel will arrange taxi. about 120 baht to the airport. This really a motel by American standards. Perfect for a quick transiting through Bangkok without having to go into the city. AirconditionING blows cold. Owner is very friendly.

Lovely, family run hotel”
we stayed here for one night before flying back to the uk, fabulous spacious, clean rooms with super comfy beds. the couple that run the hotel are so lovely and really helpful, and their daughter is such a sweetie and speaks excellent english. nothing was too much trouble, taxi was ordered and arrived on time to get us to the airport, with advice as to how much to pay, all goods in the mini bar were free and also free internet. i would recommend this hotel especially with its close proximity to the airport.

Spacious clean rooms and very close to airport”
we stayed here for one night to catch a flight the following day. despite the somewhat industrial surrounding of the airport we had a great stay. the staff was very friendly and the owner's daughter drove us to a near (5 min walk) restaurant. also transport to the airport was perfectly taken care of. perfect hotel for travellers not want to go into bangkok.

Situated about 12 minutes from Suvarnabhumi airport by taxi, I had a good overnight at this quiet and clean hotel. Price very reasonable at approximately $21. Did not have any dinner as no restaurant in this hotel but heard there is some good street food about 2-3 blocks away. A little local convenience store for drinks and snacks is about 25 yds. down the street from hotel office.

Great location for a short stay close to airport”
Great value for money. Clean,comfortable, lovely staff with good English. No hair dryer but will provide one at reception. There is a lift so no carrying bags up stairs like some inexpesive hotels. Tea & coffee in room but boiling water next to reception. Bed & pillows were comfortable unlike some cheaper hotels in Bangkok. No room service but inexpensive restaurant nearby. Complimentary soft drink in fridge & free wifi & a computer next to reception. Will definitely stay there again if I need a short stay close to the airport.

clean rooms, decent price. close to the airport so it is convenient if you have a 1 day stop over and you just want to catch up on sleep but it is not so easy to get to if you are coming from bangkok. more convenient if you are arriving from the areas east of bangkok. if you are intending on staying close to the airport because it is your last day before flying out, it might be easier to just stay at a hotel close to a station along the airport rail link.

Clean, comfortable, personal touch”
this hotel is surprisingly cozy and clean--it is hidden in an industrial area about 10-15 minutes from the airport which costs only baht for taxi. staff was very helpful in getting us a van taxi for our family at 3:30 in the morning for a 5:30am flight. beds were very comfortable. hotel is not luxurious, but suits very well for airport stay. it is a bit difficult to find via taxi, but be sure to bring hotel telephone number and staff are great to translate--plus have taxi directions in thai available for guests. we were able to take a taxi for about 70 baht to the city-line train station, which is about 20 minutes from the bts sky train and fantastic shopping at siam center. very easy to get around public transportation once on city-line/airport line. overall, we would stay here again.

Nice new no-frills hotel with good service”
the check-in was easy and the reception was warm and friendly. the hotel is no-frills. no phone in room so wake-ups are done by a door knock. this is a family owned hotel and english is spoken. they also watched out for the guests in terms of taxi service and making sure any issues were resolved. i think the only drawback was that while i was there no food was nearby but the hotel provided a free noodle cup and coffee. room was very clean and functional. i would recommend this for the proximity to the main bkk airport and for the reasonable price and friendly service. the tv is lower than the bed so hard to watch without needing to lay on the bed.

stop over hotel”
I've stayed at the Rafael few times now I stay here for 1 night on my return to Australia about 2 times per month. The reason are first cost I'm getting to bkk at 2200 and leave by 0630 so all I'm after is place to shower and sleep .its around 15 mins to airport .There's little shop chips beer etc at front driveway .or bigger one down road. I grab few odds there .one trip only bathroom light worked as it was late and my choice not to bother rasing this problem with staff I have forgot about this but hotel had not so last trip was upgraded for free nice of them .This hotel meets my needs for price and quite stop over and keep staying here .
