Very clean and comfy room, relatively spacey especially the bathroom”
Room was good although it doesn't look like the photos I booked via Agoda. Only one restaurant but quality foods worth the price. Cons: location is not convenient, no very close tube station although hotel provides shuttle service, better reserve before because it may not on time, even you booked day before, you better remind the lobby staffs your booking, otherwise you would still miss it. Staffs, to be honest, a bit cool, I lived there for 7 nights, the best one was the driver, he is polite and with good manner
The poorest service attitude ”
Especially the receptionist, the one with long blonde hair lady had such a bad attitude with no manners and no smile. Very need to be educated and learn how to satisfy customers not by big things but very basic things which she missed from the very beginning to the very end. I would never use or recommend this place to anyone!
Some good some not so good”
On the +side: rooms were pretty big(for London)-we had two standard rooms- and the bathrooms looked newly renovated. Rooms and hotel overall was very clean. Area is quiet (although not very interesting) but bus 170 for Victoria station leaves right outside the hotel every 10 minutes or so. From the pier you can also take the boat (Thames clippers) to Westminster or Tower (and many other destinations). Hotel breakfast was not great, but only 5 minutes walk from the hotel was a cafe- the bread central- that served really good breakfast almost at the same price as the hotel. Even if the hotel was satisfying I do not think it is a 5star hotel. Mainly because of the not so great food, the hotel beds (small and a bit hard) and sorry to say also the staff. Not once in five days did anyone from the hotel staff greet us or even smile to us when we entered or left the hotel. Only after we said good morning and good afternoon first did they reply back to us. Also, the shower in one of our rooms did not work the first morning. When we first told the receptionist he didn’t seem to take it serious. We then had to find someone ourself to help us, and luckily we found a nice housekeeper that came and looked at the shower and said (as we already knew) that it did not work. After we then complained to another receptionist they ordered a Plummer and the shower was fixed. Even if we were happy with the result, I think we should have gotten 1) an apology for the inconvenience and 2) some sort of compensation for being without a functioning shower the first morning of our four night stay. We got neither. The last negative thing was when we checked out they said that we had consumed things from the minibar that we had not. We did not have to pay for this (obviously) but I didn’t get an invoice (was not possible according to the receptionist) and again no apology. In my opinion the hotel staff really needs to be educated in customer services for this to be even close to a 5star hotel.
Value for money ”
Pros, I would say the facilities, the breakfast was good , the cons , the standard room was very very basic , the smell as you entered the room wasn’t very pleasant, had to keep the ac on all night as the room was very stuffy.
Nice hotel, lovely breakfast, but a few things could be improved.”
Kindly I was upgraded to a superior double but the room itself seemed like a “standard” size so I wonder how small a standard room is. The bathroom however was a generous size. Also you have to pay a £50 deposit on arrival which is refunded after departure but I would have preferred they keep card details rather than this as most hotels I have stayed at- even for longer periods of time did not require this. There is quite an abruptly worded poster in the lift and at the spa letting people know that absolute silence is expected when using the facilities (including the gym) and if this is expected to be adhered to else not be used. If I knew this I would have stayed somewhere else where users were free to have a conversation. This should be made clear on the description before booking. Other than this the staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean, breakfast excellent but it was the details expected of a 5* that I felt were lacking and disappointed me.
Hotel and restaurant staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Location was reasonably close but not walking distance to a lot by the hotel had facilities available to travel. Spa had good facilities but was less relaxed as other guests didn’t follow signs of no phones or talking and staff didn’t challenge this. Treatments were exceptional and highly recommend. The restaurant food and atmosphere was also exceptional and highly recommended.
Stayed here for a christening the next day”
Very nice hotel. Didn’t have chance to use spa. Corridors v dark in the hotel. And could’ve done with better lighting in room to do make up but they are very small points.
Was a lovely hotel which definitely showed through its decor in the rooms! Absolutely Stunning!”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there as the room and breakfast was wonderful! The only things i didn't quiet like or would of preferred a bit better is the lighting and spa facilities. It was very dark in the room and the spa, in terms of space size for swimming pool, sauna and steam room was very small, apart from that everything was spot on.
Comfortable, helpful staff, quirky designed hotel”
Me and my better half stayed here for a total of 2 nights. We were provided with an early check in which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is a lovely design and is situated next to the heliport however you can not hear a whisper throughout the day and night and the rooms boast space and elegance. The only down side about this hotel is the ability to access which results in a taxi or bus to and from as their is no near tube or train stations. As it is situated just over the bridge from Chelsea it is exceptional to pick the right day and wander the streets. When taking a taxi from the hotel this is not run off the meter and is a made up amount to the drivers discretion which worked in their favour several times be careful we were ripped off several times by hotel taxi drivers being told 10 pound by reception then charged 25 pound. Otherwise comfortable stay i would suggest ordering taxis from different companies.
Really nice unusual hotel, friendly staff”
Ben was very helpful at the front desk, very accommodating - the gym and spa is very nice, the layout of the hotel is a little quirky but you soon get used to it and its a nice place, overall I was very happy with our stay here
Great place! Spacious room. Tube commuting a bit complicated.”
Spacious room and confortable bed helpful staff, super-super clean. Facilities and SPA are a great Plus. It’s inconvenient to commute to tube, even with a free shuttle which leave every 30min. Overall good value for money. I’d go back.
Very nice hotel in good location 👍👍”
Location, food, cleanliness all top quality
Great staff. High standard of accomodation
not worth money!!! And thanks to Agoda for misguiding customer. We book holiday for 2 adults and 3 kids (12, 8 n 8 yrs) and we were provided with one double bed and an additional cot to fit 5 people in a room. Once again not worth money this hotel.
Lovely location.. beautiful view.. gorgeous room”
The room was stunning.. spacious, clean and maintained to a very high standard.. the bathroom was lovely and fresh. The shower amazing. Had a lovely nights stay .. felt refreshed and relaxed. The downside was the mini bar was a bit pricey
FANTASTIC HOTEL AND STAFF”
I stayed at Rafayel Hotel and Spa with my partner and 2 children, it is a beautiful hotel with wonderful, helpful and friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble with our many requests. The room was amazing and the hotel is perfectly situated in Battersea to go to the Natural History Museum , Waterloo and many other locations/attractions. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Clapham Junction and is very informative on navigating round London. We loved it so much we stayed another night and will definitely go again. The food was delicious also, we had room service with the most divine steaks and had Eggs benedict for breakfast - all round it is a fabulous hotel in a fabulous location.
Hotel Rafayel is beautiful. Set on the banks of the river Thames not far from Clapham Common...A bit far out from rail and tube stations but they have free shuttle service. Staff are generally really helpful , rooms are beautiful- spacious and well equipped. My only criticism would be that the reception staff are always very rude about the shuttle service. If they offer it it should be with good grace or don’t bother!! Shuttle drivers are lovely- extremely friendly and courteous. Ben one of the managers is outstanding. Would definitely recommend it and return to it.
Amazing and spacious rooms”
We loved this hotel. It's as good as any we've ever stayed in and at a price which, for London, was very reasonable. The opulence of the lobby may not be to everyone's taste but the rooms are huge, modern and luxurious without being over the top. Only wish we'd stayed more than one night
Arrived at the hotel and greeted by lovely helpful staff, option to help carry luggage to our room. The room was beautiful, very clean throughout spa looked lovely but didn't have a chance to go there. Free shuttle to the station Perfect weekend!
