Ahmed is the nicest person who arranged us a super stay. Everything was perfect at his hotel including attitude to guests, breakfast, dinner and evening fire sitting. We’ll remember his place as well as a day dessert trip he nicely made for us. The most thank I’d like to say about painting hi gifted to us, it’s decorating my room and reminding me about him, Egypt and endless dessert I’ve been lucky to see.

This is a clean, reasonably priced, and very pleasant place right in Farafra (with excellent food - something that is hard to find!). Ahmed, the proprietor, is exceptionally nice and interesting to talk to (and speaks very good English). We spent quite a bit of time in all of the oases in Egypt, and this is one of our two favorite places that we stayed.

The property is a jewel in the middle of the White Desert. the room is very comfortable room and the common area is just amazing!

Really clean and great hotel in Farafra. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are really nice and you have plenty of choices. We book tours with them and it was excellent, good quality car, driver was also reliable and drove safely that is unique in Egypt. I could just recommend them.

This small hotel made me feel at home, they had turned on the air conditioner before we arrived at the hotel, fresh fruit was prepared in the room in advance, and the surrounding service facilities were explained clearly, showing that the hotel staff were very informative and took care of us

Entering this Farafra village is like entering the Forbidden City in China. There are policemen and soldiers and armored vehicles holding the entrance of the village, checking the documents and taking us to the hotel in person, and then when we set off, they also specially came to take us out of the village, which made us feel very nervous

Very accommodating. Got a booster so had great internet. Room had fruit basket, a kettle, coffee, tea, water and a fridge with freezer for my ice packs. Very helpful and showed me a short cut through the desert on a paved highway. Had awesome trek of the White Desert with owner's brother Ahmed. Doing a road trip through the desert this was a very welcome comfortable stay.

We liked the hotel, and the owner Ahmed was very helpful - he gave us a lot of valuable information concerning roads and busses before coming. His brother met us from the night bus, and brought to the hotel, which was just 3-5 minutes from the bus-stop in Farafra. Very nice rooms, nice outside. Nice egyptian style breakfast. We are glad we started our White Desert Trip from Rahala hotel=).

The best wi-fi for our trip through Egypt. They washed our car without our request. The breakfast is good and large. They directed us for dinner to a small eatery with the best price. No problem with hot water.. All questions were solved quickly. They can organize a tour to the white/ black desert.

I am grateful for the hospitality of the hotel staff and manager. I requested for a (night) drive to one of the hot springs and they helped me with it! Both the dinner and breakfast were delicious.

The room was cold - not because I checked in during winter. The air conditioning (heater) didn't work that well, and no one in the hotel could figure out how to use the remote control.

The architecture, landscaping and food were all excellent, and so was the service including the White Desert overnight tour

The hotel and grounds were absolutely lovely and very traditional. The staff could not have been more gracious and attentive to our needs. We had an absolutely lovely time and felt nurtured and cared for. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough.

How can you improve upon perfection?

L'hôtel est extrêmement propre et bien tenu. Notre hôte s'est plié en huit pour nous aider. Par exemple, il avait réservé nos deux billets de bus entre Assiout et Al Farafra afin que nous n'ayons rien à faire en descendant du train à Assiout. Vers minuit, un véhicule est venu nous récupérer à l'arrivée du bus pour nous déposer à l'hôtel où le patron nous attendait. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux. Nous sommes allés passer une journée et un bivouac avec son 4x4, tout est super bien organisé ( meilleurs panoramas, repas, petit dej, bivouac ....). Si vous devez aller dans le désert blanc, réservez à l'hôtel Rahala et choisissez les pour le désert blanc. Dans la chambre, fruits, thé, café.... Que du bonheur. Encore un très grand merci au boss 👍

Inmitten der Oase Farafra befindet sich dieses schöne Hotel. Für das Auto gibt es schattige Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel. Die Räumlichkeiten sind in beduinischem Stil gehalten, und die Wände sind kunstvoll mit Gravurbildern verziert. Neben den schönen Bungalows gibt es einen beduinischen Essraum und ein kleineres Zelt, wo man im Schneidersitz auf schönen Teppichen und Kissen sitzt. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, und das Einchecken ging extrem zügig. Insgesamt war der Service ausgezeichnet, zur Begrüßung gab es sogar einen großen Obstteller. Wenn man berücksichtigt, dass das Hotel sich in einer Wüstenoase befindet, und daher eine feine Sandschicht schneller entsteht, als man denken kann, ist das Hotel sehr sauber. Die Fenster sind mit Insektengittern versehen, sodass man bei offenem Fenster schlafen kann. Das Zimmer ist mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Ebenfalls wurden ein Wasserkocher und mehrere Teesorten kostenlos bereitgestellt. Das Abendessen und das Frühstück wurden nach Wunsch zubereitet. Die Essensmengen waren sehr großzügig, man sollte daher einen großen Hunger mitbringen. Zu den Mahlzeiten gibt es Wasser, Kaffee und Tee kostenlos.

Nichts - alles war in bester Ordnung.

Das Hotel ist familiengeführt und der Aufenthalt ist sehr persönlich. Die Hilfsbereitschaft und Gastfreundschaft von Ahmed und seinen Brüdern ist wirklich außergewöhnlich. Man hat das Gefühl man ist zu Gast bei Freunden.

Als er 1 plek is om naartoe te gaan in Egypte is het dit gastvrije hotel Rahala. Persoonlijk en welkom. Goede toer en hulp bij alles wat je wenst. Tot de volgende keer!

Отличный отель в бедуинском стиле: шатёр без перекрытий, в номере есть воздух, большая ванная каната, есть горячая вода с хорошим напором, можно без проблем помыть голову и постирать. У Ахмеда всё чётко (очень хороший человек и бизнесмен): стоимость экскурсий, трансферов оговорены заранее, никаких дополнительных поборов. Всё вовремя и без опозданий. Ну и, конечно, отношение к гостям чудесное. Честно сказать, и мы не капризничали. Экскурсии хорошие, долгие, с обедом и отдыхов, очень интересные. Ужин не входит в стоимость номера, но если хочешь, тебя покормят.

Нет ничего, что бы не понравилось.

Полностью соответствовал нашим ожиданиям. Ахмед со своей командой сделал наши впечатления от посещения одними из лучших в Египте. Обязательно просите организовать тур в белую пустыню - это того стоит, отличная организация в совокупности с великолепными видами. Рекомендую попросить ужин, это очень вкусно.

Не забывайте, что зимой может быть прохладно, особенно в пустыне - берите теплую одежду.

Очень уютный отельный комплекс в сердце оазиса Фарафра. Хозяева отеля - Ахмет и его братья - абсолютно точно самые лучше, гостеприимные, внимательные и дружелюбные люди, которых мы встретили в Египте вообще. Ужин в уютном домике с очагом, волшебное звездное небо, очень приятное общение, поездка на горячие источники и, что очень важно в феврале в этих широтах, работающий на обогрев кондиционер в комнатах, оказавшиеся очень удобными кровати и фантастический выезд в Белую пустыню - это просто отдых для души после долгого путешествия через пустыни. От души желаем Ахмету, его семье и близким здоровья и процветания! Очень надеемся вернуться в Rahala с подросшими детьми однажды )

Любителям евро удобств нужно быть морально готовыми к формату совмещенной туалетной комнаты и душа, но, поверьте, это не недостаток, просто для информации ) В Фарафре совершенно точно не стоит отказываться от гидов при путешествии в пустыню. Проводник, машина и программа выезда, которые предлагают в RAHALA - просто супер! Но это тоже совсем не недостаток - скорее предупреждение для таких же адептов свободных путешествий как мы )
