One of only a handful of resorts with beachfront access to Krabi’s famed Railay Beach, the 4-star Railay Bay Resort & Spa is ideally situated on a white sandy beach with crystal clear water, exotic marine life, and colorful coral reefs. Nature can be truly enjoyed with the limestone cliffs of Railay, the beaches of Phra Nang and Ao Nang, as well as the Phra Nang Cave. Whether you are dining in the Railay Restaurant, relaxing on the beach, or enjoying the view from each room’s spacious private balconies, you will never have to miss the amazing sunrises and sunsets. Coconut trees and tropical fauna decorate the beautifully landscaped grounds, accenting such facilities as the outdoor pool and spa with a hot tub and massage treatments. If you’re looking for a special and unique experience, look no further than Railay Bay Resort & Spa.

Good location, room is dated and huge cockroach flying in the room”
We booked 2 rooms, both have problems with the air-condition. For one the remote could not be adjustable for the temperature while the other room, not working at all. one room had a big cockroach flying around so finally we requested to change for a new room which took 45 minutes. Staffs seemed to be lack of service minded, especially at the pool bar. They allow non-guest sitting on the launge chair, bringing food from outside and made the table dirty without saying a word! Very generous! Breakfast is not good in quality, cheap industrial chicken sausage. this hotel doesnt serve pork becuz they are Muslim.
The best part of this report is the staff. They always made sure we were comfortable. They knew we were leaving the resort one day so they prepared us a lunch. Very friendly. My husband and I were not the biggest fans of the food. Great views and fun little stop for shopping and food.
Really nice resort but a bit expensive”
I think the place is really nice but the breakfast doesn't offer bacon for the eggs so bacon lovers... now you know :P I think is probably one of the nicest hotels of the area and the room was great. I just think it was a bit expensive for what it was but in general really good experience.
Recharge batteries in peace”
I have been in love with Thai nature and culture for 30 years. Traveling to this country now for its traditional medicine, I seek clean, quiet, bug-free and good sleep... When the doctor actually can measure how much better you feel after 3 days in RaiLay, then it says more than any dithyrambic rewiew. Go. Enjoy :D
Highly recommended resort!”
1. Deluxe room with bathtub The room was very huge with native interior design and the bathroom was complete with outstanding amenities. Request for a deluxe room that is situated near to the beach. 2. Transfers - 5 star! Krabi airport - Van - tuktuk - long tail boat - some transfers that wouldn't let our feet touch the seashore - golf cart - deluxe room This was the highlight of my admiration. THEY WERE ULTIMATELY SYSTEMATIC. All this considering that we checked out at 3:30 IN THE MORNING. Everything was prepared and ready for us. They even gave us our take away breakfast without asking for it! 3. Dining If you research about Krabi, you'll find there how expensive the food are. But the food prices in this hotel are agreeable considering its class and location. Plus, you may opt to eat at the side/back of the west railay beach where prices are more affordable Our stay here is perfect. I couldn't think of anything negative and even if there is one, the overall service was too superb to even notice the downside. Thank you for the most worthwhile experience! I'd like to extend my gratitude to the two Filipino trainees: Camille and Jesh! Thank you! 😘
Very run down resort. Not worth paying that money. ”
Toilet water blocking at basin and bath tub. A lots of mosquitoes. Railay bay only good for a day trip as the island is using sea water.
Not bad stay”
Great location. Quite strictly with the check in and check out time. We can't get checked in early despite i can see lots of empty and room available. Asked for a bit late check out and the staff said no even before she checks on the system. The cottage we got is quite outdated, the bathroom looks filthy with the old stains despite it is cleaned.
Beautiful resort, it covers both beaches. Food is ok although you can walk around to find better ones. Room is comfy and staffs are great
Beautiful resort in beautiful location”
Friendly staff, beautiful location and lovely room. Railay Beach is our favourite place in Thailand if we had to choose, the beach is stunning with Walking Street providing great culture and food. Will definitely be back! The railay Bay resort was beautiful and welcoming.
One very enjoyable night”
We stayed at Railay Bay Resort for one night due to availability on short notice (stayed at Diamond Cave Resort for 3 more nights), but wish it was longer. We had a private jacuzzi villa that had an outdoor area with lilypads and frogs. The room was very spacious and the bed was the softest (and most comfortable) we've had while staying in Thailand over the past 3 months (most are always very firm). The location is perfect for staying on Railay, as it spans all the way from Railay West beach to Railay East with an easy to navigate walkway with trees and lights. My wife was sick that day with the flu and had room service delivered which was delicious. I enjoyed a meal at their restaurant while watching sunset, which was the perfect viewpoint for sunset on Railay. The food was just OK, standard Thai dishes, nothing special, entree was a little cold but the spring rolls were very good. Worth it to enjoy a sunset view, but there are better places to have dinner on the peninsula.
Amazing place! ”
Great location, great breakfast buffet, great internet connection, amazing pool! I wish I could come back there soon! The only downside is not particular to the hotel per se, but if your room is near one beaches you will hear motorboat coming and going all the freaking time. But I think that's the way in Ralay anyway.
Nice big rooms. Our room was all the way to the other side of the island on the east side which had a great sunrise view. A far walk to west side but a nice one. The only problem is the east side gets very very low tide, so there's just yuky sand for hours on that side till the tide comes back up. But the staff very friendly and food was great.
What a view from the pool terrace or restaurant right on the edge of Railay West Beach. Several resort restaurants on the beach and a great market street with small shops, restaurants & bars. Definitely book the hotel airport transfer if you have suitcases. Worth the bit extra to have an easier time getting on and off the long tail boat.
Worst experience in Thailand ”
Worst hotel ever experienced in Thailand and for a long time... unqualified staff consistently obeying to very stupid rules (never move a sunbed closer to the beach, make you sign any bill before you ever have started to get your drinks, consistently check on you, etc...). I felt like trapped as a tourist and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Last but not least, they pretend they do not sell alcohol because the owner is a Muslim - however they have a bar/another subsidiary that sells alcohol next door... #hypocritical
Great location on the beach. Good choice for breakfast but drinks expensive around the bar. Sunbeds reserved when nobody using them which wasn’t too much of a problem as the hotel seemed quite but would Be a problem if it was busy.
BED BUGS STAY AWAY”
Stayed there from March 24, 2019 until March 27, 2019. I experienced a complete mailing of my calves by bed bugs at this hotel. Every evening I kept scratching at my legs and I wondered whether it was just the mosquitos outside or something else. Upon three nights of this, I decided to check out and seek a different hotel. I informed their staff and onsite manager and they were completely dismissive of my pleas. One of the managers, a man named Sarayut, was extremely rude and even asked me to show him where the bed bugs were. I showed him the damage to my legs and the tracks of bites these bugs left and he scoffed at them. I then followed up with Agoda and they were of little help. They defer to the hotel and the hotel defers to Agoda. I couldn’t get any help from either. Hotel staff was confused as to what to do and advised me to speak to management. Upon speaking to management, I was told to speak to Agoda. The entire experience was a complete and utter nightmare. STAY AWAY!!
Worst hotel experience in 6 month trip”
While this was not the worst place ive stayed now in month 4 of my se asia trip, it is the most expensive, by far the worst value (generally and for Railay) and came w many other issues i havent experienced. For staters AC didnt work. Before letting me switch rooms a day later they made up excuses and stonewalled me saying things like it wasnt on or they already fixed it. It was 33 in the room and i almost left before they moved me to a room with functioning AC. I found the staff generally dickish, an issue i have not encountered in a single other place ive stayed. The new room they moved me to had working AC but a gross bathroom and was generally more dilapadated. This is my second stint in Railay and can unequivocally say stay on the East. Its a short walk away from the west w equally nice scenery at a third of price. This hotel isnt actually on the beach anyway unless ur in the restaurant or have one of a handful of beach chairs hogged from early in the morning. I cant recommend avoiding this place enough.
Not worth the money.”
I have never written a negative review so already that should give you an idea that I am not one to just do so on the smallest thing that is not good. My standards are also reasonable. I had read other reviews as I always do and I have to say it is the first time I have to agree with what a lot was said. It is certainly by no means worth the amount of money they charge. Obviously they know people will pay as there are limited resorts on the west side of the island which happens to also have a fantastic prime location view. But the rooms certainly need to be refreshed. I found them dark and depressing. And yes I was barely in my room, the little I was I just felt it so uninviting .The air conditioning is so loud and horrible and if you don’t leave your key card in all day you will come back to a sauna. Also by evening the room had a horrible sewage smell. Maybe the rooms are nicer then the cottages. But I would definitely not stay again, not with the $$$
it was really a good stay. even though only one night, i experienced a very nice romantic and sweet night there. the location is the best, nearby the beach. breakfast was brilliant. and the spa was also impressive. i would like to recommend this hotel to everybody. really good.
We had a nice large room with an outdoor jacuzzi and patio that was very private (#1504). A pharmacy, ATM and convenience store were less than a minute walk from our room. I visited Railay Beach in 1995 and it certainly has grown exponentially. However, our room was in a very quiet area - rarely even heard other people and was a short walk to the fabulous Pra Nang beach. Breakfast buffet was really good with loads of choices. Staff were friendly, helpful and receptive to our requests. We used the hotel's transport to and from the Krabi airport ($45 each way for 2 but worth it) which was seamless even though we used 5 modes of transport. If I come back, I would definitely stay here.
