“Great space for kids”
Definitely recommend Railey View Resort. The rooms are set ok a hillside surrounded by trees and greenery through which you can see the ocean. The room we had was comfortable for myself, wife and 2 small kids. Bathrooms are very spacious. Perhaps the only downside for some travellers might be the distance from the make throng of Railway. It's about 500m walk along a wide cemented path that follows the water edge so we actually enjoyed the walk and having the feeling of a little isolation from the crowd was welcomed. The resturant in the resort offers a wide menu and prices are reasonable. So there's no need to do the walk if you juet want to hang out at the resort We enjoyed the pool but mostly my kids enjoyed playing on the beaches. Just to be clear, thase are white sand beaches But the deposit of shells l, pebbles and washed up debris made for fun treasure hunting for my 2 small boys. Staff are very friendly helpful and welcoming. There was one small and unfortunate situation at the end of our stay when it was pointed out that I was going to he charged the reimbursement fee for the 2 the complementary umbrellas because one was missing and the other wasn't able to be closed after I opened it. Eventually they agreed to remove the charges. So word of caution don't leave your umbrella outside the room (as I did) as you might he charged if it disappears. Setting that small matter, aside I would very much recommend this resort if you like to be embedded in nature. Oh and another advantage..they have their own pier amd boat service making it very easy to get to even when yourve got a lot of luggage. Other resorts in Railay will require lugging your bags through the streets as I saw others doing. With the airport shuttle service you'll be at the resort within about 90 mins of landing.
