Manager rude at check in. AC and hot water don't work and it is a problem to try and resolve. Pictures of the place are beautiful too bad they were not taken at this location. Happy that we only booked two nights.
This place is like heaven. The room was super clean, the pool is great and the whole resort is very quiet. Not to mention the staff who really was nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in Railay!!
Great location, great staff, great price!”
This place was wonderful. Right on the water, though not a swimming beach, but you could watch the sunrise in the morning. It was only a 10 minute walk along the beachfront to rock climbing and another 5 to phra nang cave and swimming beach. The pool was nice and cleaned daily. The hotel is right on the water but the rooms run out away from the beach so even at night when loud parties were going on we couldn’t even hear it. The staff were great and so accommodating. We arrived 11 pm to Ao Nang beach and because of Ramadan were told we couldn’t get a boat. This we rented hotel room there and arrived the next day. When we got there they said no problem and just switched the start date of our 4 night stay so we didn’t lose a day. Very helpful and very friendly. Restaurant on site was significantly cheaper than other places we checked as well so that was a bonus.
F**K this place”
So I checked in here and it looks nice from the outside. But they say they have Wifi in all the rooms but they don't. I asked for a refund and they refused. I asked to change rooms to one where there was wifi and they refused. They weren't very apologetic and just generally I'm pretty miffed at this situation. I changed hotels and ate the cost. Oh yeah and the TV channel selection really sucks!
I just needed somewhere to stay for one night so I could kayak as late and early as possible. ”
A quiet, pleasant place away from the noise of east Railay nightlife. Everything is so close there, it only takes 5-10 minutes to walk to west Railay where I picked up my kayak and it’s an interesting walk. Air con, bathroom, personal supplies all good. Didn’t try the restaurant but it looked cool and spacious. Pool there as well.
Terrible Internet access from rooms”
The location was good, breakfast was delicious, rooms were nice but you had to exchange towels and pick up toiletpaper and water yourself unless you left your room # at the desk they didn’t clean the room. Other than the internet not working in the room, I would recommend this resort.
We are on a backpacking trip and needed a bit of a break! We stayed in a bungalow by the pool and it was perfect. Nothing luxurious but very clean, basic, with a comfortable bed and a quiet pool area. The included breakfast was brilliant and you would not leave the table hungry. The only slightly annoying thing was the lack of wifi in the room and by the pool - could only get on in the bar area. On the other hand, nice to restrict the hand held technology. Oh - and the nice sandy Railay beach is on the other side -not in front of you - just five minutes walk away.
Affordable place to stay in Railay with a nice swimming pool!”
Great swimming pool with views over Railay. It was a very nice looking resort with lots of palm trees. Rooms were OK but needed a few repairs. Hot shower. Free bottle of water everyday (bottled water is twice as expensive in Railay as anywhere else in Thailand). It's located on the mangrove side of Railay Beach so not good for swimming, but it's only a short walk to the sandy beach side.
Great value for money”
Everything was great, stayed 3 nights at the beginning of the season and it couldn't have been smoother! Lovely staff and the room has everything you might ever need, even hot water! And almost no mosquitoes which is a great plus!
Great value for money ”
What a lovely hotel we was not expecting much as it was so cheap but ended up booking another 2 nights. The staff were friendly and the pool is nice great location if your travelling and have been from hostel to hostel this place feels like paradise.
Didn't enjoy staying here. Room was far worse than another hotel we stayed in for a difference of €10. The door had gaps and the shower blasted water horizontally which was a bit bizarre. We also were told to leave the key in a box that sits Infront of reception when we walked into Railay. When we asked could we not bring it with us we were told that we would have to pay 3,000 BAHT if we lost it. We took it with us anyway and when we got back that night there was nobody at reception but the keys were still sitting in an open box unguarded. We left and booked elsewhere instead of stay here longer.
Super and cheap stay”
We can totally recommend the railay viewpoint resort! When we arrived they showed us the room we booked but due to a bad smell, we asked for another room and got a very clean and nice room (same c section for the same price). The standards were very high for this price (10€/night), the only thing you could criticise is that there were some ants in the room, but for us it was not a big deal. We had our own balcony with a great view and our own bathroom. Whenever we wanted our room to be cleaned, we just had to write a note at a list and they cleaned the room very well. The stuff was friendly, they always gave us water and towels etc. when we asked for it. The pool was great and clean. Railay is a beautiful place to stay with an amazing nature, rocks and beaches but also expensive. We payed a lot more for food and water then in bangkok or koh samui. There is also no supermarket (7eleven) only minimarkets. All in all we had a great time at railay viewpoint resort.
Amazing!! Don't let the other reviews fool you!”
After reading the other reviews I was hesitant to book here. One said they lost there left eye due to a parasite and others complained about the smell of mold. My friend and I both still have our eyes and the room did not smell at all. We stayed in their cheaper accommodation and was so worth it. If you're looking for 5 star luxury this probably isn't the place to stay but if you want cheap clean comfortable accommodations on Railay I would highly recommend you stay here. The staff were great as well as the breakfast.
Far from the Pier but nice”
Our room just after renovation and looks clean and new. Nearby "the last bar", convenient for partying at night. Need to walk 15 to 20 minutes from the Pier. Will be tired for those who has big backpack. Overall, great stay.
Mountain terrace rooms great”
My stay was excellent, mountain terrace rooms are big, clean, good view, 2 movie channels, good balcony, big bed. Didnt try food.A few bars and restsurants close by. Lucky restaurant and last bar 20 metres past resort very good.Don't know about the review's of the cheaper rooms at back, but if there not up to scratch, don't complain, your paying £10/15 a night. The mountain view rooms at the front are great for £30/35 a night. What type of room would you get for that back in Europe. Learn to say hello in Thai to the staff and there friendly. If you go around with a face chewing a wasp expecting everything for a pittance what do you expect. Get 1-2 call sim and you get unlimited data 24hr if you put in *777*33# so you don't need WiFi.Overall very good resort and enjoyed my stay. :-)
Comfortable, peaceful, close to everything”
On Railay East, away from main beach (but most cheaper accommodation is in Railay East). Very easy to get to the main beach tho I found Raily East more peaceful!! Very close to all restaurants and bars yet location of room was very quiet and peaceful. Had read quite a few bad reviews but didn't find any problems with cleanliness of the room; in fact I was impressed with the quality of the room. Aircon noisy so used fan - when I told reception the following morning, they said they'd look into it straight away tho I was checking out so no idea if it was sorted. Nice swimming pool. No wifi tho - internet café by reception and they said they wouldn't get wifi as the internet café would lose business!! For the price I paid, I would recommend Railay Viewpoint.
Economical and comfortable accommodation on Railay”
The staff were great. They were very friendly and helpful. We didn't pay for breakfast but they gave us a free upgrade to include breakfast anyway. The location is very close to the Diamond Cave, but a little bit of a walk from the two good beaches on Railay. The only drawback was that our boat was supposed to leave at 12 pm but we didn't leave until about 12:25 pm. The boatman was there at 12, but he disappeared for 10-15 minutes (to eat lunch? bathroom stop?) while we all sat around waiting for him.
Within walking distance to the beach on the west”
The hotel front is actually mangrove area, but within easy walk to the west Railay through a nice walking street. The room is OK, just a little bit old. The staff were not so friendly on the first day we arrived, but later on they were fine and friendly and I think they tried to do things right. We actually booked for one night but extended to three nights at the end. Railay is amazing! One more comment, the hotel should put a note that this hotel is only accessible by long tail boat and the last boat leaves Krabi pier at 9pm. A Railay new bee like us didn’t know about this before, that was why we had to change the date of our stay at this hotel to the next day.

Excellent service and yummy breakfast”
When we arrived we were welcomed and it was a nice quick service at the reception then lead to the room. The room was clean and spacious and had good working aircon, a fridge, tv, good space compartments to unpack your belongings into, clean towels, complimentary shampoo, soap and bottled water. The windows are tinted so people can’t see inside so easily, which is a nice touch. The breakfast buffet included really adds value to the price you pay and surprisingly very delicious. They change the breakfast everyday and has someone cook fresh eggs in front of you either; scrambled, omelette or fried. The location is really good and you can drink or eat at the sea front looking at the mangroves and sea horizon. We would definitely stay here again because of the service, the convenience and delicious breakfast.
