A lovely place to stay for a few days”
We stayed here as a base to explore Chiang Mai and didn't want to be in town. It proved to be a good choice with only a short drive into town. The standard rooms are quite basic so we upgraded on second day to superior rooms which were much better. Downside was that the restaurant we were looking forward to was closed for refurbishment and there was continual noise from 7.30am each day. Breakfast was served in a rather grim room with no windows but could go outside to tables in the garden. Luckily we we found a taxi driver who spoke good English who was very reasonable to hire as a guide for a couple of days so we were able to avoid the noisy work.

Impeccable”
They are detailists. Little things like packing your breakfast at 5 in the morning because your flight leaves too early even though you politely refused means so much, plus other things that made the experience in this hotel amazing:)

lovely hotel”
Stayed here 1 night after the sleeper train from Bangkok for some much needed relaxation. It's close to the train station which was perfect for us wanting to relax somewhere quiet. It is quite far to walk to the main town around 3km.. but there is a free bus from the hotel at 8pm to take you to the markets. Staff are great, one of the receptionists sorted out our bus to pai the next day and helped us get out washing done by a lovely lady just across from the hotel who does 1kg of laundry for 50 baht.

Great place to stay with friendly, helpful staff”
We enjoyed our stay at the Rainforest. While it is a bit outside of ChiangMai, there is a shuttle to the Night Bazaar each evening. With two pools, a restaurant and a spa on site, the Rainforest allowed us to relax and enjoy Chiang Mai. The front desk staff were helpful in getting us booked on a cycling tour and made our stay very pleasant.

Dated, but Adequate for the Price”
We travelled as a couple with a teenage son. The joining rooms was nice but the twin bed my son slept on was rock hard. There is free bottled water in the room, but the free bottle is the glass ones (they charge for the plastic bottled water). It's not easy to grab the water to go if it's in a heavy glass bottle. The facility is nice with 2 pools and the breakfast buffet is full service and satisfying. The wait staff is friendly and excellent. The biggest problem I have with the staff/hotel is the way they add to foreigners getting taking advantage of. Red trucks are 30baht per person, no matter where you are going, or what time of day you travel. It's listed right on the truck, and yet everywhere you go, the drivers want to charge foreigners more, and the hotel staff also tell you that it's not 30 baht, it's more like 50baht. I hate corruption of any sort and this is so blatant. For this reason I wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Close to Night Bazaar and they offer a free shuttle each night. Nice spa for massages but can get cheaper near night market. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a weird smell and I saw a roach in the shower.

Mold, Mice (rats) & Moscitos”
I write this review whilst staying at the Rainforest Boutique Hotel in Chiang Mai. Firstly, this review is mainly for you the viewer, but mostly for the hotel management to see and make improvements. There are several issues I have/had with this hotel, which all should be resolved for better reviews and enjoyment of guests. 1. There are mice in the walls of the rooms. My wife and I heard them several time thinking the sound was other guests or maids in the hallways out side. However, after listening and looking closer in the morning it was clear. There are mice in the walls of the building. 2. Mold in all parts of the room (see photo). She bathrooms are fairly nasty; floor, walls and ceiling are moldy, covered in film-scum from shower runoff and sticky from ??? We just didn’t want to touch anything because of it. 3. Mosquito haven… When you enter the room a sign next to each door (see photo) says to close door to keep mosquitos out. However, each day we came back to our room we foun
