        A VERY DIFFERENT VACATION!”

Live IN the rainforest near Cape Tribulation .nothing but crowded giant trees with heaps of ferny undergrowth and a few brush turkeys . Large decorated 1 room bungalows without TV , fair internet, kithen and shower open to the forestare delightful difference to home prior owner , over 28 years, created forest pathway with his big sculptures leading to a babbling brook- although guess it becomes a raging torrent in the wet,as 8 metre rain annually- we had 125 mm , 5 inches, of rain last nught , when iy-=t is supposed to be dry season. few shops and eateries in town , and nice beach , except for crocodiles! ENJOY!!

        If it's for you. ”

It's a jungle escape. We loved the outdoor shower. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. They are off grid so there is no air conditioning. It wasn't a problem for us because there was a nice cross breeze. There are bugs around....... you're in the rainforest after all.

        Rainforest heaven ”

Rainforest hideaway is a lovely little bungalow tucked away in the rainforest. The place has been put together with great care and we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bbq was easy to use and very clean, the outdoor bathroom was a lot of fun and really beautiful (hint keep toilet lid closed). The sculpture walk was lovely and a great addition to an already lovely stay. Rob and Anuri were very friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you for a comfortable and enjoyable night in the Daintree.

        Wonderful Rainforest Retreat”

My partner and I recently stayed at the Rainforest Hideaway in Cabin 1092. The hosts, Rob and Aruni were very welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation is basic, but has everything you need for a quiet getaway. We especially enjoyed the outdoor bathroom looking onto the rainforest! Although there are no fridges or conventional cooking facilities, eskys and ice are provided, as well as a BBQ and cooking utensils making it very easy to prepare your own meals. We unfortunately didn't see any cassowaries during our stay but we had a lovely time and would recommend Rainforest Hideaway. Thank you!

        Connect with nature”

Pros: secluded, small hideaway, surrounded by nature, friendly & helpful business owners. Super pretty and relaxing. Not far from other shops but you still feel like your miles away. No phone service or wifi/internet (really) Cons: bed wasn't super comfy and the sheets didn't feel really nice, no fridge but they offer an esky. No phone/internet/wifi service is a pro and a con. If you want to check particular things w google you cant really which i kinda needed too cos i am pregnant and wanted to jniw which reef fish i could eat lol. They did offer 100mb per day and i switched off auto updates but somehow within 2 minutes of having it it would exceed, maybe from being signed into social media even though i never opened it. Weird. But the place was amazing still and i would recommend

        Great Escape from Civilization”

We spent an enjoyable evening the very picturesque but spartan cabin with private outdoor bathroom (very cool) overlooking the jungle. There is a neat jungle walk to a small creek that was unswimmable because the water was so low, but very pretty. The breakfast in the continental-style breakfast morning included a serving of exotic fruit, some native to the area. A great place for those who love nature and to escape from it all. Note, while there technically is WiFi, it's only 100MB--with all my apps running in the background, I connected for like 3 mins before the meter was up.

Lovely B&B set in the rainforest. Wonderful location, and very lovely hosts. The fruit breakfasts where huge and so tasty. Our bed was a bit hard, but other than that we where very happy with this unique B&B.

Forget your phone, internet and hairdryer, this is indeed a hideaway from the grid. Amenities and facilities are very basic, but who needs those? Forget about the world in the charming little huts, beautiful communal kitchen, everything hand carved out of wood by the talented host Rob. Magical little private rainforest with Robs statue creations and creek you can dip in. The continental breakfast has the best tropical fruit plate. Thai massage by Aruni - so good...

Tranquility in a gorgeous and pristine rainforest ”

Location; owner has vast local knowledge; gardens are artistically designed in harmony with the Daintree area

Hideaway came recommended by another operator and we're so glad we took their advice. Some may call the Easter Island-referenced sculptures 'eccentric', but they're only part of the experience. Other beautifully created pieces adorn the tranquil pathways and creek bank. Rob has a great local knowledge and the place is in easy walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. There's a funkiness to this place that may not please conservative people, but this is a wonderful way to 'chill' and a great base for exploring both the site's gardens and Cape Trib at your own pace. You want some wine? Just grab a bottle of the wall-shelf and fix Rob up later. The rooms are clean, pleasantly located with my only gripe about the bed- but being so relaxed, this was not a huge concern at all. Rob is happy to recommend and support other locals by pointing you in their direction - and he'll give you honest guidance either way. He and Roony are interested in making your Daintree experience a memorable one.
