Nice resort but remote ”
The resort and the facility is good and beautiful. A dive centre is just besides the resort which is very good for divers! But the resort is really remote, it takes around 1.5 to 2 hours travel from airport! And no restaurant around, I have to take taxi or walk 30 min to the town centre! And room is pretty small but clean!
A excellent well run hotel”
There isn't any thing I could find fault with this hotel. The room are very clean, the grounds immaculate and the pool area very inviting. I have stayed at this hotel before and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good with a selection of western and local foods. It was the 1st time I visited the spa and was amazed at the massage rooms, very spacious with large water feature and fountain. There are free activities every day and free pushbikes
Nice Comfortable Resort”
Lovely resorts with many activities to try out! Would definitely come back here again if I visit Candidasa! 1) The resort is really lovely! The pool faces the seas, and there are nice chairs & beds for you to laze around. 2) The room is nice too and comfy, with mosquito nets. However, there was a gecko (if you are afraid of them), so we called the reception to get rid of it. It is quite hilarous how the "gecko extermination team" came with a broom & dustpan lol .. 3) The resorts offered many free activities. While there, we did : i) Yoga by Zen garden. While not the typical yoga class with advance poses, this yoga gives insight on how to enjoy yoga while appreciate nature in harmony ii) Free Dive next-door at Zen Dive, whereby we have a great Dutch instructor. The dive really experience was good that we decided to take up Discovery Dive the next day Note: 1) It is not really walkable or safe to cycle to the nearest Candidasa center, as the main road is busy with trucks. But a 1-way taxi is IDR 30k. 2) While the pool that face the sea is nice, there is no sand beach where you can walk
Beautiful Seaview Resort”
1. Located at the main street of Candidasa, convenient to different restaurants 2. Breakfast is good, especially the price is quite reasonable. Not the supreme quality, but is good for most tourists. 3. Face to the beach. You can have a relaxing time when you are sitting on the bench.
Great Location, lovely gardens, a big room helpful”
We had a great overnight stay. Only negative with our garden view room was that it was on the second floor with several steps. May not be suitable for older people or those finding it hard to climb. I would suggest to request a ground floor room. Otherwise excellent.
Nice hotel with superb ocean view in East Bali”
This was our first time visiting the East Bali area. If you're not familiar with Bali, the east part is the less developed part. Unlike Kuta or Ubud, finding a nice hotel can be quite tough here. Our experience with the Rama Candidasa hotel was very nice. When we checked in, the hotel upgraded our standard room to ocean view! That was a very nice surprise. It has a clean room with large bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back.
A relaxing hotel”
This hotel is great if you want to escape the hustle and crowded streets of southern Bali. There is some interesting places nearby but lying in a hammock, watching the waves break and the odd swim to me was really great. Candi Dasa is worth a visit for a day and there are some good places to eat, some by the ocean. We had Balinese Duck one night which was superb, right on the beach, at sunset and very reasonable price (90000rps). There is very little night life.
Nice quiet resort in a less seen part of Bali”
Overall we enjoyed our stay here. We aren't resort people really, but it was a nice place to lay low in Bali for a couple of days. There aren't beaches in Candidasa, but there is a small one to get into the ocean that is within walking distance, and I highly recommend going to White Sand Beach, which is about 30 minutes away. Also it is a good place for snorkeling and diving.
Nice resort for chillaxing.”
Overall we enjoyed our stay in Candidasa at Rama. Location was good for us, there were convenience stores across the road and it’s a quiet area. We had a good number of meals at the Hotel’s restaurant and found the (Balinese) food to be very good at reasonable prices for a Hotel. Be warned however the Western Menu is very hit and miss, for example the Fish and Chips were really bad! Dining at the restaurant is pleasant, with a nice cool breeze and good views. The breakfast was OK, but not great, there is some variety. They will cook you eggs or omelette to your liking, but this can mean really long cue times. I waited over 20 mins one morning for my eggs after a being in a long cue, then a guest just arriving for breakfast came up and asked for what was in the pan and got my eggs I had been waiting patiently for! Why they can’t have some fried eggs etc precooked ready to go, (like a lot of other hotels) is beyond me. The bacon appears to be deep fried and is way over cooked, only thing it’s good for is bacon bits in a Caesar salad! The pool is small, but very nice and great relaxing by it. The spa is really, really good but very overpriced comparing other resorts and spa’s visited in Bali. The rooms are smallish but nice with a balcony. Good bathroom etc… Free WiFi in the lobby worked well. Regards value for money… to be honest I’m glad I opted for a cheaper room without the sea view on this occasion. There is no beach to swim at and the rooms don’t have fantastic views worth paying the extra for. You can’t compare it to say, Phi Phi the Beach Resort. Overall the Hotel did meet our expectations and I would consider staying there again.
Nice hotel with nice view”
This hotel is really recommended. You will find another Bali here. Candidasa itself is one of many interesting areas in Bali. This area is not so crowded because only a few people know this area, but, it can be said that the hotel location is strategic. However, I really enjoy Candidasa view from this hotel. I also love the spacious room although the room itself is not so modern. Last of all, I just want to say that I enjoy my stay in this hotel.
The hotel staff were all very nice and friendly; however, the hotel itself is quite far from the main attractions. If you are going to Bali for spa, sunbath, and snorkeling and don't get about tourist points, then Candidasa is fine as the hotel itself is very nice. I don't suggest eating at the hotel restaurant, it's very pricey (Bali standard) and the food itself is so so.
Very nice hotel”
The restaurant "Garpu" knows how to do Balinese cuisine, we tried their Nasi Campur + Fish Soup + Pork Sate + Seafood Platter and they all were just divine. Generous servings with beautifully presented food that just melts in your mouth
amazing nice rooms and spacious bathroom. big beds and clean. big television. we can hear the sound of the ocean while we are sleeping and making love. good and fast room service. Quiet and relaxing place with many caucasian. It is a good price rate for the hotel around there and quite clean hotel.
Immaculate hotel in quiet location”
we totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. friendly staff are very welcoming. deluxe garden view bungalows are great and are amongst nice landscaped areas. dvd in the room kept children occupied when they needed there daily rest. would reccommend this hotel to anyone of any age group.
Lovely hotel and great location”
very interesting, very nice hotel and nice service, they even upgrade to junior suite room, huge room and very good service, nice breakfast, very nice swimming pools, just a stone through to the beach, can join optional diving or snorkeling tour by hotel or the diving club just beside the hotel
A lovely hotel”
The resort is very beautiful & clean. The staffs are helful. The room is spacious. There are many free activities just like Yoga in the morning, snorkeling with equipments, free bike.... You can enjoy a tasty breakfast in the glass-walled restaurant with amazing ocean view.
Good location, terrific views of the ocean”
Would stay there again. The massage staff at the Spa should be told not to change the time of the clock short cutting the time you are in there as well as massaging instead of looking at themselves in the mirror for reasonable periods of time during the massage. New resort going in next door which I am told was a bit noisy for the rooms along that side but we personally had no trouble with this for the room we had been allocated. Food and service on the days of the local ceremony was average when the regular staff where not there.
Good location resort style”
4 day stay was a nice break from the shopping and business of Seminyak. Good breakfasts and good meals. Staff very friendly. Clean and well appointed resort Only 2 complaints. Pool was too warm and Bali dancing night did not give me the cultural experience I wanted.
Will return. Food, drinks, pool and activities were all top notch. Expectations were surpassed! It is a little bit of ride from the airport - but well worth it. The drivers were amazing and went above and beyond. Tipped really well and it was much appreciated too.
Beautiful hotel, stunning gardens, great food”
We spent our first hour lazing on a swinging double daybed watching the waves, sipping cocktails, appreciating the quiet after the bustle of Kuta. I looked at the other guests around the pool and thought I was in the movie Cocoon. Not one child in sight. We were the youngest there (mid 40's!). It was fantastic! The food from the Garpu restaurant was fabulous; the staff are friendly and explained what some of the dishes were, as the menu has food from all over Indonesia. Wednesday night Babi guling; YUM! I thought it fabulous there were so many cultural experiences available at the hotel, we made canang (google that!), and also went on a walk in the morning through rice fields to a coffee plantation where we sampled different tea and coffee, and then up to a temple (thanks Purna). I spent a couple hours reading in the library while the husband played on the wifi, and we also spent a lazy afternoon on a daybed in the Zen garden. We did have a few children stay over the course of our visit, and some honeymoon'ers, and I think it a fabulous place for anyone to stay at, so long as they don't want party central.
