This the 6th times I stayed in Ramada, and I always enjoyed my stay. There are couple of things to improve, like very dark garden at night esp on the room's terrace (creepy dark because there is no lighting at all in the garden), and outdated furniture. Other than that, everything is great as always. The dark garden is the most obvious thing you'll see at night, and I walked in a pool of water as deep as my ankle in some parts of the garden.

Not a real Ramada...
Location, Beach, Pool
Hotel is well located near Shopping malls and restaurants, nice beach although we were pestered every day by seemingly "permanent locals" - offering the usual massage, manicure, pedicure, cheap overpriced bangles. I would have thought the hotel staff would not allow them to hassle the guests, some of the locals even sat on our long chairs in spite of the protests. Most appalling though was the hotel charging for ice. I asked for some ice cubes and was told it cost 15,000 IDR. It wasn't for the money, but the gesture that they could charge for frozen water (never experienced this in any other place I stayed). The room service apologized (obviously must have heard from other guests) but this was the "management decision" - for me bad experience, not sure how the manager feels to lose customers for 1 USD... The other disappointment was the free photo on the beach offered by the hotel, after the photo session we were told the memory card wasn't working in the photographer's camera... a bit of waste.
