Motel in walking distance to downtown”
Hotels in Anchorage are expensive, and the Ramada is no exception. It has a motel flair throughout the entire property. Rooms are rather basic and not particularly well maintained (e.g. stained, loose carpeting). Staff was very friendly and even accommodated a late check-out request. The biggest plus is that the hotel is within walking distance to the downtown main street area with restaurants and bars. Would certainly consider staying there again

Big brand but poor value”
This hotel is very old and rundown. Rooms have broken items, carpets are threadbare in hallways...it's just old and tatty. It's not in a great location of you are on foot. Anchorage has much better facilities. It seems to me that Wyndham just don't care about their image and reputation...probably figure...who cares it's Alaska. Real shame because Anchorage is a very good tourist location. Ramada Anchorage gives meaning to the state slogan ' the last frontier'

Stay only if you think the location is suitable ”
The staff was reasonable during the check in process. The first room I checked in there was smell in the room, I requested a change of room. Second room was without air condition, room has no air flow unless you open the window (exposed to balcony) shared with next room. I finally was given third room which has air condition and no smell. Thank God they allowed it. The hotel is exposed to outsiders walking on the street near downtown. So if you are staying there try to avoid staying on first floor as I had seen people walking by asking for money. One thing I need to highlight was I had given late check out 1pm. When the next day I check out, the cleaner was giving me a black angry face even I politely apologize for the delay. The Asian guy cleaner was ok but the latino girl was so pissed (as if I didn't inform them my check out time is 1pm not 11am). That's so rude! I decided not to tip on that room at all.

We received such a friendly welcome when we arrived and then checked in despite arriving before check in time. Our room was comfortable and clean. Nice roomy bathroom. The air conditioner was a bit noisy but fortunately we didn’t need it on for long.

Great Location and washing facilities”
Great option if coming back from traveling through Alaska where there were no facilities to wash clothing. Not many places have these facilities. Staff very helpful and even gave me a lift to the airport for free.

This is a very old hotel with mold in the bathroom and malfunctioning air conditioning.”
The staff was helpful and courteous and provided top notch service. Unfortunately the hotel is, for lack of a better word, a dump. Our bathroom had visible mold. The AC unit failed to cool the room. The windows didn’t have screens so we spent the night shooing bothersome insects.

The hotel was not in a good area, the rooms were terrible, and the staff unfriendly. The room was heated by a portable unit that didn’t successfully heat the room and made continuous loud noises as it tried, the door locks were broken, the faucets dripped, there were no blankets, the pillows were bricks and there were people in the hall all night. Worst stay ever!!

Cheapest option available at the time ”
WiFi was spotty, shower faucet dripped constantly. Location felt a bit dodgy, but as long as you stick to 3rd Ave if going downtown, you should be fine. If you are just looking for somewhere to sleep and aren't in the room much, it's fine. Bar and restaurant were closed during our stay, but they had a referral promo with a pizza joint that delivered straight up to your room.

Terrible hotel don't stay”
Noisy, not clean, old rooms. On top, they also charged us incidentals for having a fruit stain on the sheets. When i called the lady was rude and hang up on me. The hotel also doesn't serve breakfast although it says on the reservation that they do. They didn't clean our room the entire stay.

The hotel was mess. Our room had torn curtains in bathroom and over the window, the dust ruffle was so ripped it looked like a rat chewed it. There was paint marks all over the vinyl wood flooring. There were no towels or toilet paper when we entered. The portable AC rattled and if you opened the window you heard the homeless people camping outside your window. It was a tragic way to end our beautiful Alaskan cruise. Of note, the shuttle service from the railroad station and to the airport was prompt and the driver was very kind and helpful. The staff was kind and courteous but one would think the owner would provide them with a uniform to present appropriately.

This hotel needs a total revamp. From room to housekeeping to amenities. Room was very dirty. Breakfast was bad. And this was the first time we experienced a hotel running out of towels. The driver, Shane, and the front desk staff were accommodating, and that was the only positive thing about our stay here. We were thankful we stayed here for only two nights.
