Cheaper than other alternatives in the area”
We booked a hotel in LA at the very last minute and this hotel is one of the cheapest in the area. It is clean, no carpet in the room, which is a plus. Bathroom is clean, no bathtub, which is a plus. Parking is self-parking, costs USD 11 per night paid upfront at the lobby. You need a car to travel in LA, it is a huge and spread out city. You can get around with Uber but it will cost you a lot of money. We didn't have the time to explore the facilities. Breakfast was intercontinental, nothing much there but helps to fill the stomach before venturing out.

Under my expectation”
Free parking. Easy to walk to Asian restaurants. First, I got the room in front of stair. I asked staff to change. Then, she did the changing room process suddenly. The room is clean but facilities looked old and uncleaned. The price is high, but it's acceptable with free parking policies. When you go out of room, you can smell cigarette smoke from other guests at hallway.

Patchwork Repair’s did not stand up to Ramada’s reputation ”
When we stepped out of the elevator we immediately noticed high traffic Soil stains In the carpet leading to a door to the left. Right outside of our room was a huge patch in the drywall that was not even painted. Once we opened the door the first thing we saw was unfinished plaster of Paris door jam which took away any idea of a secure stay. We slept in our clothes feeling insecure and checked out as soon as we brushed our teeth.

It was Restless and Sleepless. Won’t recommend. ”
Be careful about this place before you check in find yourself in a miserable night. I won’t recommend unless you can sleep in a vibrations like coming from a giantic washing machine from far away. There were good staff though. My personal experience: I can’t believe that night. I just stayed for a night before the flight. I nearly missed my flight. I could not sleep because of the crazy, machinery noise. It was more than noise and sound but solid ‘vibrations’ that filled up my room. Room construction was’t something of usual, not made of brick or concrete but something thine and light I guess. I made complaints at 2-3 o'clock in the morning and all of the staff overlooked. How else? They must know of the noise but can’t fix or help at all. Ramada, do something please to save another restless, sleepless night of your guests at the hotel.

Rude, fees, good location”
The staff can be rude. The checkout guy on 1/23/2023 was extremely rude and even though I was told I could checkout at noon the day before he refused to allow me to and was extremely rude about it. He was rude to every guest. They force guests to use this video conferencing kiosk to check in and do anything even though there is a person sitting right there who doesn’t want to help you. They now charge $11 for parking which is excessive. Not all the rooms have microwaves either and the walls are too thin.

A great bargain”
It is kind of hard to find Clarion Hotel, since it's now part of Ramada and its name hanging on the front wall on Olympic st. Only if you look hard in the sideway, you will see the Clarion board to let you know you're there... There's a free guarded guest-parking, with a little tight spaces, so try not to bring a big SUV in there. The staff is very friendly and knew me by name when I arrived, which made me feel like I was awaited there!!! Know a couple korean words to flatter the staff and it'll pay off with a nice room in a quite quarter of the hotel (i.e. not on the main street side). :) My room was in a good condition and i was fully satisfied with this hotel. Will definitely return there again!

Good location, close to LA city”
I heard a lot of bad things about Downtown LA saying it's dodgy and not safe. But I wanted to experience LA for all it's glory. But what's the affordable hotel to stay? Ramada comes to the rescue, it has all the amenities you need, clean room that even has a fridge and microwave, free coffee, gym and swimming pool. And they have a driver in the hotel that can drive you anywhere in LA for a competitive rate (better than taxis). I would recommend this hotel and especially good when going for an LA basketball game.

Friendly staff, scary neighborhood”
Generally my stay was good, however for an outsider to Los Angeles, this neighborhood is not very good. You don't see a lot of people walking around after dark, and the people you do see look a little shady. That being said, the hotel was very close to the bus stop and the staff was very courteous. Clean rooms and good size comfortable beds.

Clarion Hotel LA DOWNTOWN”
It is in an ok location however, minutes from downtown LA, but you'll need a car if you want to visit, Santa Monica or Venice beach, Rodeo Drive or Hollywood Highland....eveything is quite far, there are few good restaurants at walking distance from the hotel and a 7Eleven open 24hrs almost opposite which is helpful for drink snacks etc. Staff at the reception are quite nice, and services are quick...You should visit Alley, there is a bus the n 28 will bring you to Historic Downtown LA in minutes, will also bring you not far from the Alley where you can find everything and anything and it's affordable, great clothes, fashion shoes.....

Pleasant stay but not a great location”
My fiancee and I stayed here for three nights and overall found the place to be pretty good. The reception staff, while lacking in personality, were helpful and responded to every request. The room was clean and pleasant with a comfortable bed. It was pretty quiet so we slept well. The bathroom was adequate although the bath was very shallow and not really usable. As far as extra features, the free wireless Internet was great and they offer free local telephone calls (although we didn't use that). We were particularly happy with the breakfast which cost about $8 and was an all you can eat buffet with hot food (including waffles!). The fairly significant downside to this hotel is its location. The area is not safe at night so unless you're game, this restricts what you can do if you want to stay out late. If you're taking public transport like we did, it's also a long way from the Santa Monica/Hollywood/Beverly Hills areas. If you want to spend most of your time in these areas, you should really pay the extra and stay closer to them. On the plus side, it is very close to the 28/728 bus line which takes you towards Santa Monica/West Hollywood (and the bus drivers in LA are generally friendly and helpful by the way). You will always need to take connecting buses or walk to get to where you want to go if you don't have a car however. Overall, happy with the hotel but not its location.
