Excellent”

The Ramada has been a really pleasant surprise. Normally for this price, you would not get such a well situated hotel. We were able to get a free shuttle from Hong Kong Central train station to the hotel. This was also really convenient and amazing. The room was nice and the view of the harbour was breathtaking. The only complaint I have is the toilet. The space between the toilet and bathtub is too tiny for you to be able to sit on the toilet properly so we had to sit sideways on the toilet. We will definitely be revisiting the Ramada when we return to Hong Kong.

Great stuff”

price, newness, rooftop pool

For Hong Kong, to get this level of a hotel for this price is fantastic. Obviously there is a tradeoff and it is only because it is not right next to a subway station. If it was, it'd be triple this price. But if you know how to take the bus, minibus or trams in Hong Kong (which is very easy) you'll find this location great. Loads of eating places in the 'old' Hong Kong style downstairs. Especially loved the local old style bakeries downstairs. Room is a bit small, but a stay of a couple days is not a problem at all. Views of the harbour fantastic and the roof top pool is top class (not open all year).

Great location, close to Sai Ying Pun MTR”

We stayed in a deluxe harbour view room for £35 a night (probably an unusually good deal due to recent events in Hong Kong- currently excellent value for money). The hotel is very well placed for the MTR (Island Line) and lots of local restaurants and shops. Our room on 33rd floor had great harbour views. The room was small which is not surprising given space to build is at such a premium in HK. The bed was quite firm but suited us fine. There was a kettle provided but no tea/coffee but convenience store opposite so easy to buy your own. Hairdryer provided. Breakfast 7-10am; same buffet selection each day which included: scrambled egg, boiled egg, rice (from a rice cooker), congee, bread/toast, jam, sweet corn, chickpeas, pasta salad, cooked carrots, as well as juice/tea/coffee. Rooftop pool not open in Winter but can go up to see view.

business/pleasure”

Fifth hotel I stayed in Hong Kong. "User friendly" hotel, i.e., easy to understand "what to do", "where to go", "how to get there". All high priced, upscale hotels hand you a map that you need a microscope from NASA to see, and circle the directions. This hotel has taken the "initiative" to enlarge the microscopic subway map, to further assist their guests. I paid double the price for the other hotels and got the same size room and no customer service from the overstaffed "front desk" staff. All housekeepers were exceptional in each hotel. However, in addition to the EXCEPTIONAL customer service at this hotel, there is even a rooftop swimming pool to entertain the kids, as well as a spectacular view. Though it may be described by some as older and maybe could be updated, don't be discouraged. And , yep, the rooms are small. . . but it's Hong Kong. And for the value this hotel offers, you can rent two or three rooms for your family for less than one at a 5-star rated.

very good value for money”

Coming from those notoriously dirt cheap "mansions," I had very low expectations but was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Sure I paid twice the price but I got more than twice as big of a room and standard amenities. I slept well that night and that's the most important thing. check in and out was a breeze, loved the view from the sky pool. view from my room wasn't great but not a dealbreaker. It's not as old and as bad as other reviewers wrote here. Do note that price varies per day. The rate I got was from "last-minute deals." I booked and checked in at the same day. Not sure if it made a difference but I still think the price was justified compared to other hotels available on that day. Also, the deal I got didn't include breakfast but still ok. Location was great, pretty close to MTR station. There's also a free shuttle bus from airport express hong kong station to the hotel (and vice versa). Very near convenience stores and local restaurants. Couldn't ask for more for the price.

Enough good points that would make me choose it again.”

Just two stops west of Central station on the MRT means this is a great location for anyone coming into HK using the airport express line. The hotel itself is just a minutes walk from the MRT entrance (although the MRT trains themselves are a further 3-4 minutes walk through a network of underground tunnels) - all accessible with escalators - so anyone with luggage wont have to struggle. The hotel is set over 38 floors - and has a rooftop pool with great views around the city. I had a room on the 33rd floor facing Hong Kong harbour - a view is something many HK hotels dont have! So it was nice to have one. The rooms are typically small and compact - with the bathrooms being tiny but functional. There was a half size bath that I tried for fun, but wouldn't recommend it for long soaks! The wifi was reasonable - it cut out once or twice - but not so much that it got annoying. It's definitely somewhere I would try again.

Always a pleasant stay at Ramad HK Harbour View ”

Stayed a couple of times at Ramada HK Harbour View and I have to say it was always a pleasant experience. Yes the rooms are not super spacious but hey, you have to keep in mind that it's Hong Kong you're staying at and space is kind of limited there. Location wise it's great, just 3 minutes walk to the nearest metro station. They provide a good extensive breakfast buffet every morning. The hotel is clean and has all the comforts one might need. There's a nice guarded rooftop pool with a great view of the city and harbour area as well. Recommended!

Nice hotel, shame about the room size.”

All in all we enjoyed the Ramada and found the staff to be attentive, polite and helpful. The view from our room on the 29th floor was fabulous too. The only downside was the description of the room as 20 square metres. 13.5 square metres would have been much closer to the reality. Even my 1.65 metre wife could not sit straight on the loo! When I pointed the mis-sizing out I was told that I should realise I was in Hong Kong and rooms were always small here. I responded by pointing out that as far as I am aware a square metre is a square metre whether one is in Hong Kong or Ulan Bator. The small room we could take, at a squeeze (!), but what we were unhappy about was the misrepresentation.

Best Western is The Best On What I can Afford! ”

I would say it is the Best Price ever if you would like to have a short stay in Hong Kong only for some good sleeping time every night. The location is fantastic. You can walk to Centre. The variety and food around the hotel are good and value for money. Hong Kong is small! You can not expect to have a large room like when you are doing a budget traveling in United States of America. Definitely worth it even though the space is small but, it is the best price ever in Hong Kong in a 4-star hotel. Good customer service! Excellent!

Good location, new room , good view.

The deluxe harbour seaview was worth to stay, because we could see harbour seaview and the room was new and clean, but the best of all was the price that was lower compared to the same level hotel in this area. In front of the hotel, we could take the free shuttle bus to and from Hong Kong Airport Express station in every 15-20 minutes. We will stay there again if go back to Hong Kong.

Despite not having spent much time in the Hotel due to all the sighseeing available in Hong Kong I must say it was a very comfortable stay. In fact the first time I stayed in Hong Kong I thought it was very nice and then had to return to Hong Kong a few weeks later and booked somewhere awful that I had to cancel and went straight back to Ramada knowing that I would have a great stay. I don't think the breakfast was that great though... room was clean and it was in the best location of HK

Best Value in Hong Kong”

I'm a local but was living 1.5hrs away from the city center. The recent hotel prices in Hong Kong have dropped drastically because of the social activities. The hotel prices during my stay were definitely worth for money. So, I decided to move out to live in the city center. I booked 1 night to try if the hotel is nice for a long-term stay. The location is excellent as it takes only 15mins for me to go to work on foot. Friendly staffs. View from the window is excellent as well. The only drawback is that there's no sitting area so it's not quite convenient for business travel as you have to sit on the bed to work. However, given the excellent location, staff and beautiful sky pool, I'll continue to choose this hotel for another 2-weeks.

Good loacation and a very good price for hong kong for this type of hotel. everything is clean and nice, stuff was very helpfull and does speak english. the only problem might be wifi(not very good signal in some rooms). Also do not recomend to book a harbour-view room (might be noisy), mountin view rooms are nice as well and do have quite amazing views. pls do consider that this is hong kong and small rooms is a normal thing here! i have stayed at a lot of hotel in hk, and comparising to most of them BW is a good deal esspecially take a look at some guest houses for the same or even higher price. it would make sense.

Small, location, comfortable

The Best Western Hotel Harbour View is a killer little hotel. There's a lot of package tourists coming from the Mainland, so if you're not cool with screaming and door slamming, you should go elsewhere.....but if you're cool with it, then this is the place for you. I stay there all the time and bring a pair of ear plugs. Rooms are small, it's Hong Kong.

Best value in Hong Kong. The neighborhood is lively and bustling, a great way to experience traditional Hong Kong street life. It's in a really interesting historical corner of the city, Hong Kong's "Chinatown." Comfortable room with an amazing mountain/city view, and helpful staff. We were a lesbian couple sharing a double and got no trouble from the staff - they even helped us push the two twin beds together.

Location convenient, Hotel and Room very clean, Rooms are a good size.

We got a deal in this hotel in Hong Kong, and it worked out cheaper for us than the other cheaper accommodations. The location is perfect for travel to the other parts. The hotel and rooms were kept very clean. We had no problem with the room and it was a good size for the price. We were a little disappointment with the sea view, as you could only catch a small glimpse of the sea, and we had to pay extra for it. But other than that, it was great.

Uncomfortable Stay!”

Centrally Located, Shuttle Service & Free Wifi

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and I really want to Thank God for that. The hotel is made vertically. The Lobby to check-in is on the 5th floor. The check-in was quick and we got the room on the 21st floor. The hotel has 38 floors. The room was a total shocker. One gets pretty much everything one needs in a hotel room but it was so cramped up. If you are traveling with a young child and has some luggage, it becomes worse. There was no space available to open your luggage and there was no wardrobe to hang your clothes. We had to one by one open our bags on the bed to take out clothes for the next day. The bathroom was again too cramped up. Now for the good things about the hotel. The hotel is located in the city though it is a little far from the closest MTR (Metro) station. The hotel has a shuttle service that you need to book in advance (weird) and it shares this service with Ramada hotel which is a block away. The shuttle drops you to Macau Ferry Terminal/Sheung Wan MTR and the Hong Kong MTR/Airport Express Line. Then its easy to move around in Hong Kong unless you want to pay more for Taxi. Buffet Breakfast was just about ok with options from Asian & Continental cuisine. Overall, I would not recommend you to stay in this hotel unless you are alone. If you are traveling with someone or a family, please avoid this hotel.

Good value for money, convenient location”

We had a pleasant stay at Best Western Harborview. A great place to stay if you prefer exploring the Hong Kong Island side. Can be easily found, great location, very near the mtr and surrounded with convenience stores, market, fastfoods and local restaurants. Rooms are cleaned everyday, housekeeping were generous enough to provide daily supplies like extra water, towels etc. rooms are average 'hongkong sized' hotel rooms. Maximum of two persons can stay in a standard room. Very near central station, ferry piers and other good places to visit in Hong Kong Island like Victoria peak, causeway, Aberdeen, Hollywood Road, Sheungwan etc. will definitely stay here again on my next visit in HKG ISLAND.

Good hotel, amazing rooftop.”

View from the room, helpful staff, rooftop pool.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. After reading everyone else's reviews we were expecting to be sleeping in a horrible hotel with the worlds smallest rooms and elevators that take ages to get to your floor. Well, it was nothing like that. The rooms were a standard size for Hong Kong, but they are well designed and have all the equipment you need. They have huge windows and if your high up they have amazing views. The rooftop pool was closed when we were there, but it looked as though it would be really nice. Location isn't a problem in Hong Kong because of the transport system, and this hotel has a tram stop just around the corner. It has a free shuttle bus to and from the airport express train station, and the concierge service was really helpful. If I'm ever back in Hong Kong, I'll stay in this hotel.

Okay for short stay”

Great pool with awesome view on top of the 38 floor with pool chairs, safeguards on duty during open hours. Convenient location close to supermarket, local food and subway entrance (but expect to walk 1 km inside the station to get to the train), western style cafe with coffee in the morning, beer at night. Nice staff who speak proper English, friendly cleaning staff, ok wait time for elevators if you are 15 ish floor above, below 10 floors you expect to give up and take the stairs. Buffet available, but did not try, just go out to eat, its Hong Kong ! Lack of a desk for laptop. Room is small as expected. Bathroom is VERY small, with just 10-12 inches of space in front of the toilet seat. Short legs people are fine, long legs people will need to be creative on how to sit on your toilet.
