Better than expected”
What a wonderful surprise, a treat Ramada Hotel and Ballina was. All the staff were wonderful at check in and check out and a special thanks to Kathy. The Housekeepers were lovely. We ate scrumptious pizza's and drank well selected wines and beers at La Cucina Di Vino, very reasonably priced. The room was great, clean, comfy and I was glad I spent the extra to get the bigger room with ocean view (and kitchenette). The heated outdoor pool area was excellent. There was secure car park and WiFi was accessible from the room for no extra cost; gym was adequate, good restaurants choice, great location, Aldi, mini water fun park closeby; our teen slept on the sofa couch and our 6 yr old fitted easily in what appears to be a king bed; Kayak we took to use there and Lake Ainsworth very close drive (you do need a car to get around not like Byron). We love Byron, but its run its course (too crowded and overpriced/over-rated); Ballina has the same beautiful beaches (less populated), same accommodation styles/choices (but cheaper and not as run down), great food options (cheaper but just as good if not better quality/quantity); street atmosphere is a matter preference. We drove past Byron's main roads and beaches did two laps, car park issues, crowds, been there done that and drove on to Ballina, stopping off at Lennox Heads for lunch and coffee, then Kayaking in Lake Ainsworth for the day, the beach right there also and then went to the 'Pat Morton look out' a few minutes drive from Lennox. A further 15 mins drive and we were in Ballina. We went and watched a movie at Pighouse Flicks at the Brewery Bar - Byron Bay (30 mins drive) had a great time and enjoyed the lovely, scenic drive back to Ballina to stay in the very lovely Ramada Hotel. We all loved it! I agree with Arnold, "I'LL BE BACK"!!
The best hotel in Ballina”
The Ramada is a class above not only every other hotel in Ballina but a very big percentage of first rate hotels in Sydney. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and business colleagues and I will be staying there on a regular basis as I have family and business interests in that part of the world. It has security in-house parking, check-in was a breeze and the staff were very helpful. If I have a complaint it is one that I would level against not just the Ramada in Ballina but virtually every 5-star I have stayed in from Sydney to Mumbai to Munich and that is charging for Wi-Fi. It should be free. That is how business is done these days and hotels should be all about of attracting business people.
Very relaxing stay and friendly staff”
After staying for three nights at the Hilton up in Surfers Paradise and looking out to buildings and hearing the sound of road works and nearby nightclubs, it was a pleasure to arrive to the peace and quiet at the Ramada in Ballina. We booked the hotel spa room and were accommodated on the sixth floor after we'd put in a request for a room on a high floor, so it was great to hear they were so accommodating. The check-in staff were very friendly and helpful. They even showed us another room that was available as our room smelt a bit when we arrived. We put this down to it having been shut up without aircon on, and the cleaning products used. After leaving the aircon on when we went to dinner, it was okay when we got back, so didn't need to change rooms. Overall the rooms were clean and spacious. My only complaint, as an asthma sufferer, was the cleaning chemicals used were very smelly and I was aware of this our whole stay, after each room service. The aircon also didn't seem to work properly so a lot of condensation built up on the windows and consequently the backs of the curtains had mould. These are easy fixes and the staff were very helpful and appreciated any comments. We ate out one night in the hotel's restaurant and the food was excellent. Overall we would recommend this hotel and stay again.
Relaxing and welcoming. Always a pleasure staying.”
We have stayed at the Ramada, Ballina several times over the past five years and every stay has been a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly and check in and check out is always trouble free. The rooms are always clean and inviting. My husband always enjoys relaxing in the spa in our room with a bottle of champagne.
Lovely peaceful place to stay, will do it again.”
We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay in the spacious and extremely comfortable room. Everything we needed was there and it was absolutely peaceful with a water view. We will definitely come back to stay at Ramada when we next come to Ballina.
Perfect Location”
Perfect location, right on the river and just a short walk to the main street. It offers clean comfortable accommodation from single rooms to two bedrooms, some with views over the river. All staff are friendly, polite and efficient at their jobs. There are also three restaurants on the ground floor offering good meals at a reasonable price. The pool area is very nice and well maintained. So if you want a great place in Ballina this is it.
Great start for 2019”
We arrived for New Year in Ballina first time. The hotel staff are very friendly our room was perfect very spacious overlooking the river. The facilities is the pool is great just watch getting in I didn’t see the step down in the water and slipped . The restaurant and bar has great selection loved cocktails at happy hour and thanks to Bec the Manager for looking after me and my friends. We would love to go back again great service very clean and great location ( easy walk to shops, cafes etc)
Stunning Views, Great Location”
Absolutely Stunning views of the river. Waking up each morning looking outside our room and watching dolphins as they swim past. Breath taking. Room was cozy and nice, Staff were absolutely amazing and friendly. Very new hotel and stands out to be the benchmark of all hotels in ballina. Without a doubt will stay here again.
Beautiful property ”
The apartment we stayed in was amazing! Very spacious and beautifully clean. We will definitely stay at the Ramada next time we visit Ballina!!
Overnight stay in Ballina”
Great view over the river while drinking coffee on the balcony. The restaurant was ok, bit pricey, The bar was nice with a view over the river. Bonefish, the seafood restaurant next door had amazing food at reasonable prices. Best place to have breakfast was Wharf Bar and Restaurant by the water. Ballina is very very quiet even on a long weekend. Great place to get away, maybe even take out the boat. Would happily stay here again.
Amazeballs!”
amazing few nights stay in ballina. all the staff we had contact with were exceptional. except the bar staff who seemed a little pre occupied. the room was amazing. the spa was incredible. the complimentary sparkling wine and chocolates topped off an absolutely incredible first trip together. would absolutely stay again! (though the shower head was a little low on the wall...)
Ramada and Agoda - outstanding service providers”
We booked a stay at the Ramada using Agoda and a Voucher provided by Agoda arising from a medical related cancellation. We were delighted with the facilities and friendliness of the hotel. Unfortunately, we encountered another medical situation which resulted in the need to curtail our stay by 2 days. Both the hotel and Agoda teamed-up to assist us with the cancellation and ensure a satisfactory resolution for us. This was done immediately and in good grace as soon as the circumstances were made known. We highly commend both service providers for actually delivering on a great customer service experience in difficult circumstances. We thoroughly recommend both to prospective travelers and holiday makers.
Perfectly positioned and really well-sized”
My husband, baby and I stayed for two nights with other family members in other rooms for a family get-to-gether. We all loved our time together and enjoyed the Hotel facilities. The views were great, the restaurant/bar downstairs beautifully appointed, and the pool fab. The one bedroom suite we stayed in was very generously sized, particularly useful for us as we had a baby who needed naps during the day and an early bedtime - the room was seperate from the rest of the suite; more like an apartment. The other family members suites were great too, but they weren't quite as large with the room being as seperate as ours, but they were lovely too. Only issue was the fire doors that separated groups of two apartments from the floor hall - they didn't have a soft close so if you walked through the door and let them go, they'd slam really loud - just a small quibble.
Great location.”
Short getaway and the Ramada was an obvious choice. Location on the river, 3 restaurants on site and proximity to Ballina's shopping area are just some of the reasons why the Ramada is the place to stay. Large rooms with separate living area and a good size balcony make for a comfortable stay. Staff here are wonderful and the check in and check out are easy and quick and the facilities here are excellent. Make sure to ask for a room on the river and not on the side street which has only a partial river view.
really good value for money establishment”
The moment I drove down the street to Ramada I knew that it was going to be a great place to stay. The place was clean, tidy, roomy and the staff were great and the facilities and location were fantastic. Everything was at hand and easy to reach. couldnt have asked for a better weekend getaway... Will go back again without any hesitation and would highly recommend this place to anyone...Well done Ramada..

Adequate room for a 2 night stay, great spa bath!”
it was our 21st wedding anniversary and we would normally go to the gold coast. we deceided to go to the ramada instead and what a good decision that proved to be.all the things we like about the gold coast but not the distance to drive. great walking/ cycling tracks, good restaurants and shopping!
Ramada Ballina”
I am extremely happy with my stay at the Ramada. Excellent value for money , the accommodation was of a high standard, clean and very comfortable. Satff were excellent and the resturant provided a very high standard of food.
Les”
We really enjoy Ramada and have been there several times - the main problem is The Point Restaurant - coffee & food service SO SLOW - waited for coffee once 45 minutes - same with breakfast - disappointing -
Second time stay”
