The only thing was with our meals was a garden salad, but it was just lettuce and red onions... Would of loved tomato, carrot or just something a little more. Apart from that everything was lovely, we have stayed at a lot of places this has been the best.

Nice summer stay before Christmas. Lovely place and right on the Pacific. Warm pool and spa in the garden. Helpful staff. Maybe the best accomodation in NZ North Island!

Tired, basic "resort" ”

The whole "resort" seems to have been renovated but feels very sterile and things like plumbing around toilets are rusty and I was told not dirty but rather "old glue" around the basic shower stall. Grounds are not lush but dried out. Restaurant empty and sad. Food ok, typical basic hotel food. Pool small and furniture around pool old, worn and certainly not luxurious. View to ocean is over dead grass and a dirt road- I wouldn't pay extra for it. I'm a world traveller and perhaps this is acceptable by Kiwi standards but I would say rent a bach and you'll get much more value for your money!

Bad!!! - Not 4 stars”

Spa and Pool are urine smelling, hotel staffs kids used the pool the entire time, plastic bedsheets that creek and make you sweat, no black out curtains, restaurant would not even serve us and when we asked for room service the waitress basically said the food was below average, no onsite staff overnight other guest running around screaming until 2am, most items in the room were old and dated, kitchen tap loose, shower loose, door handles loose, door was hard to close needed to lean against it to lock the main door to the room, huge gap under door allowing for noise, i could go on but i think you get the point...
