Restful, Comfortable & Friendly”

Comfortable Room, Blackout Curtains & Good Service

I have stayed at the Rambuttri Village Hotel many times in the last 11 years. The plus points are, in no particular order: blackout curtains 2 x swimming pools central location, but set back in little plaza which Rambuttri Hotel now has the adjoining Restaurant & Coffee shop friendly staff clean rooms Not so good, but for Management attention: the reception area is so very very hot. Yes, it is open air, but when travelers are completing their journey & checking in, I think you should provide a few fans to cool them down. I understand the reception area is open so air conditioning is not practical, but most people are too hot, especially if they are waiting to check-in. Help your staff & customers & install cool fans in the reception area. For future customers: Agoda booking is great. Book as many nights as you can via Agoda. If the Rambuttri Village Hotel seems to have run out of rooms after your required nights, dont worry: you can continue your booking, at a similar price via the Rambuttri Reception (before 12.00 Mid-day). The price is the same, so best to book with Agoda - but don't be put off booking if you think you cannot have the time you want - you can! Rambuttri is situated in a great tourist destination, central to Khao San Road area, The Kings Palace, Chao Paya River: not so far from JJ Weekend Market: Siam Paragon (shopping, restaurants & Ice skating). As well as being in Soi Rambuttri with lovely restaurants, bars & shopping. Rambuttri Village Hotel is not noisy in its rooms for Deluxe & Superior. Single Rooms or Twins can be noisy sometimes due to the amount of people traffic. Other rooms can be noisy occasionally due to inconsiderate guests & their door slamming & speaking in the corridors. I recommend the Rambuttri Hotel: it is always a pleasure to return.

4th time to stay in this hotel and it just gets better and better! ”

I have stayed in this hotel before and I witnessed the improvements and growth of Rambuttri Village Hotel. Upon check-in, you will be asked to provide your passport which will be returned to you afterwards and a security deposit of THB1,000. In our case, we gave them USD52 as we preferred to use our THB for spending elsewhere after check-in. Their buffet breakfast was good, but their selection does not change that much except for one dish and different fried rice per day. But I'd say this is still above average considering the price of the hotel and free wifi and breakfast included. Their rooms are clean and they have the basic hotel amenities such as fridge, blow dry, hot & cold shower and TV. During our stay, Wi-fi is not that fast, toiletries upon checking in were not yet completely available, but you can easily call them to request. This will always be my hotel of choice for a 3 days or more stay in Bangkok. Highly recommended!

Staying on Soi Rambuttri”

swimming pool, television, air condition.
the women at the front desk act like they have better things to do than to help you.

I think the biggest selling point for the Rambuttri Village Hotel would definitely be its pool. It is so wonderful to take a break from the hot and busy streets of Bangkok and come up to rooftop for a lovely swim and a beautiful view of the city. The rooms were nice and clean and the only thing I could think to put on the cons list was the hotel service at the front desk is a bit shotty- it takes a while for the attendants to acknowledge your presence let alone help you. The location is great because you are still close to everything you need but just far enough from the main thoroughfare of Khaosan to have a little breathing space.

Great Stay, Would Recommend”

Comfort, Cleanliness, Location

Our stay was excellent. Check-in was quick/easy. We pre-paid our room, so I don't know if that made a difference. We stayed in the F building, which looks to be the newer part of the hotel. It was clean, cool and comfortable. Be prepared to pay a 1000 baht deposit. They will provide you with a slip stating that you get your deposit back after check-out. Put it in a safe place. Ram Buttir Raod area was excellent. There is a 7/11, tourist agencies, bars/restaurants, massages, and shopping stalls all around. The hotel is also located near several palaces/temples, in fact it is across the street from Wat Chana Songkhram, a temple, which I did not visit but would recommend anyone go see. The hotel is on a quiet street, and walking distance to Khao San Road, which is hectic, loud, packed and very fun, but I wouldn't recommend a stay in that area, as it gets super noisy, so Rambuttri Village Hotel is an excellent choice in terms of area. Mind you, this is more of a backpacker's realm, so you won't find yourself near the huge shopping malls/districts and luxurious hotels that Bangkok offers. Taxis are always around, and there are tuk-tuks all over. Beware of overpriced rides/scams though. You can and should ask how much before you take a ride from anyone (tuk-tuk, taxi, private water boat, not including the public water taxis, those are really cheap) and bargain with them. The hotel is also about 5 minutes walk from Phra Athit Express Boat Pier (13). It can be tricky to find but if you Google map it you'll find it. Water taxis are an excellent way to get around Bangkok. Check-out was quick and easy. They have 24 hour taxi services to the airport and can have one ready for you within 10 minutes of you checking out for 500 baht or roughly $15US. Overall, I would recommend Rambuttri Village Hotel (Inn) to anyone who is looking for a more down-to-earth, nitty-gritty experience in Bangkok. If you like the lap of luxury and high end shopping, this hotel/area is not for you.

Ideal location”

location, price, pool

I usually spend one night or two at Rambuttri Village before after my oversea flight to Bangkok. The location on Rambuttri road is perfect, very close to Khaosan, but much more quiet. The pool on the roof is nice, and the rooms are small but clean. The only conterpart last time was I asked for a room with garden view, and I had a room facing the backyard, a private place surrounded by barbwires... If I was travelling with my girlfriend, it wouldn't be very romantic ! But the hotel itself is nice and definitely a good value for the money.

Best location in Bangkok!”

So, for anyone who likes Banglamphu, or the Khaosan area, I have to say that this is likely the best of the best in that area. Khaosan Road is great, an amazing location for many reasons, as is the road next to it. But, unless you're 21 years old and crazy about partying and don't give a rip about sleep, Rambuttri is the better choice. It's just a couple blocks away, quieter, cheaper restaurants and shops and just a more pleasant atmosphere. Rambuttri Village Plaza Hotel only has Juliet Balconies, but the rooms are big enough (bigger than comparable in the area), clean, quite, well appointed and well cared for, and easily worth the money. The breakfast buffet is awesome, huge, with good hours. Oh, did I mention they have two rooftop pools? The staff were so accommodating and pleasant I thought they were friends! Please don't go there because we want to keep it for ourselves. These guys deserve all the success they've earned! DRC

Soi Rambuttri is a great Area”

location, room & staff

We always have a good stay at the Rambuttri Village Hotel. It is central to many good restaurants & bars. Of course shopping too. The 2 rooftop swimming pools mean you can chill out & relax in the centre of Bangkok. Massage, Beauticians, as mentioned all choices of food are available on the doorstep of the Rambuttri Village Hotel. Rambuttri started a new dining area at both ends of their plaza. Breakfast is good for all you can eat buffet. Staff always helpful, you just have to remember to smile with them, they will always try to help you!

Good quality rooms & excellent location”

Location, room,

The hotel is right in the heart of Banglamphu, the traveller centre of Bangkok. Rambuttri Street runs parallel to Khao San Road (less than 5 mins walk) and has a huge choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. Also a short walk to the River Pier, where you can catch a boat to the Grand Palace and other attractions for hardly any money. The hotel itself is very big, so if you're looking for the cosy personal touch, this one isn't for you! If you are looking for a smaller place... an alternative, less than 10 mins walk away, is Sam Sen Sam Place. Highly recommended! The staff on reception at Rambuttri Village Inn were efficient and spoke good English. The rooms were very spacious, tastefully decorated and clean, with well equipped en suite bathrooms. No problems with soundproofing. Rambuttri Village Inn certainly isn't the cheapest place in the area, but you do get what you pay for. The swimming pool on the roof is a really nice touch as well. Recommended.

Good value”

Good value, near interesting cafes and markets, clean rooms

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed at this hotel. At first, I thought the room was basic, but the price was excellent, and it is unfair to make comparisons to hotels that cost three times as much per night. I have been to Bangkok several times previously, and stayed in hotels near the high-rise glittering shopping malls. I much prefer the location of the Rambuttri Village Hotel, close to small cafes and street markets.

Great location, friendly staff!

my boyfriend and i returned to bangkok for a long weekend and stayed at the rambuttri village inn. i had stayed here twice before and had always enjoyed this place. the rooftop pool is very nice and relaxing, away from the noise of the street and city. the hotel atmosphere is very peaceful even though it sits right on rambuttri street which is right across the road from khao san road. the street has many street vendors and wonderful restaurants but lacks the craziness of khao san road which is a nice change. the rooms are smaller but clean and comfortable and the a/c's work very well. i would recommend this hotel to anyone (and have done so to my friends).

Pleasant Stay”

Rambuttri Village was in a great location very close to Khao San Road. I would definitely recommend booking here and opting for the morning breakfast. There are many options for food such as scrambled eggs, freshly cut fruits, a variety of juices to chose from. Additionally, there is a Koi Fish pond out front of the hotel which makes for a delightful compliment to a refreshing breakfast. I would highly recommend Rambuttri Village Inn & Plaza for it's location and overall experience. Side note: be wary of Tuk Tuk drivers and Cab Drivers stationed down the quaint street leading to the Rambuttri. They will offer tours of the city for cheap (20 baht) but will try to bring you to a place that they get a cut of money spent. In our case a suit store in between our rides to the Grand Palace and Golden Mount. Stayed February 2017, traveled with friends

Clean rooms, good location, good value

ignore the photos. the rooms aren't as large and "luxurious" as the photos suggest. they are, however, modern, seemingly secure, and clean with aircon and decent bathrooms, albeit basic, and are as good as any others for this price on the khao san road, but with the added advantage of a great location. for me, the location is a winner. it's far enough away from the thumping madness of the khao san road to let you get some sleep at night, but close enough to walk there in a couple of minutes. the hotel is set back down an alley from the street, past a gauntlet of tailor shops ("suit, sir? where you from?") and is actually a huge sprawling complex comprised of several blocks. some of the blocks don't have lifts, so i can imagine that guests' opinions of this hotel will have a lot to do with which room they are given. we were fortunate enough to be near a lift. i wouldn't want to have had to walk up and down all those flights of steps in that heat every time i wanted to go outside. we found the staff to be friendly. having stayed at many hotels in this area over the years, we will certainly be returning to the rambuttri village hotel on my next trip. we haven't yet discovered a gem of a hotel in this area, but until we do the rambuttri village has everything we need (clean, modern, perfect location, and good value).

Sandbagged!”

Good location, Affordable

This is the 2nd time i've stayed at Rambuttri Village and the experience was exactly the same, except this time with added sandbags (due to November floods in BKK). Hop out of taxi to the offputting smell of Khaosan during the day, walk down Soi Rambuttri to the tune of "Tuk Tuk, Taxi, You want suit" etc and then finally check-in... after climbing over a floodwall of sandbags! Room was clean and quiet.. the same as it was in 2007. Caught up with Carlos from Johnys Fashion, also the boys at the Indian shop next door.. Chiva is a top fellow. Nice guys who do enjoy a drink and a laugh. Get involved in their make-shift checkers game.. its a sight to see. As always, Khaosan is an enjoyable experience for a few days, before one just needs to leave for more luxurious surroundings.

I had originally booked a place next to this one and I was not happy with it because it was dark and dingy, so moving to Rambuttri Village made all the difference with their bright and spacious rooms! The rooms are also modern and very clean, so I felt very comfortable! Gem of a hotel in delightful Rambuttri”

Area, pool

Rambuttri Village Inn is a must! A great hotel with an amazing roof top pool with sun loungers in the heart of Rambuttri (in my opinion the best area to stay in Bangkok). Rambuttri is a block over from the Khao San Road set in a village like setting with lots of quaint restaurants, food and gift stalls (check out the vw camper bar for several buckets and head off the main drag and find the Secret Garden for a heavenly full body massage) The rooms are very clean and adequate in a hotel like sense, probably the best i stayed in Thailand although not the most authentic or fun. The only down side was the staff were not very friendly but they did their jobs very efficiently. Their is a bag storage area of use at a minimal cost. The hotel has no restaurant but who needs one when there is a whole city to explore! Find street restaurant (turn right out of the hotel and 2 roads round) yummy food at 30 baht a meal!! You'll have lots of fun if you stay here. Suitable for a types of travellers.

Good hotel when staying a few nights in Bangkok”

Swimmingpool, location, helpfull staff

Overall Rambuttri Village is a good hotel when you're staying in Bangkok for a couple of nights. The hotel is located across the street from the busy parts ( Rambutrri road and Khaosan road) which is good because you wont be bothered by all the noise. Do know that this part of where you access and leave the hotel, is also the standplace of tuk tuk drivers and you will get sick of them offering you a tuk tuk or a taxi. You just have to decline politely and walk on, but be aware it will happen every time you pass them. I would recommend to stay here if you want Khaosan road to be at walking distance and still have a good sleep at night. Only minus to this hotel is that in our room (at the first floor) the wifi connection was very poor, however it works fine when your in the lobby downstairs.
