My friend and I were lucky enough to stay at Rantee Cliff Beach Resort due to flash deal on Agoda! We knew we wanted to stay on Koh Phi Phi and we left wanting to stay longer! Rantee Cliff offers an affordable, clean, and an authentic experience on Koh Phi Phi. A short 20 minute longtail boat from the Pier. My friend and I stayed both in their beach front bungalow and ocean view birds nest luxury room. The hotel/resort has been open for nearly a year and has the potential to go so far! Mrs. Thing, her husband, and the staff truly work hard to make their guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. They should be nearly done building their "All Teak Bar and Lounge." Sign up for their private longtail to hop the islands...totally affordable! I will definitely be visiting them again.

Very friendly owner. Call him when you arrive at the pier (or in advance) so he can send a boat over to pick you up or else you'll have to hire a taxi boat for 700bath (which costs way too much). Boats are the only mean of transportation to get t o Rantee Bay. Overall Rantee Bay is a pretty lovely beach. quiet and not too crowded with tourists. the beach and sea water is pretty clean as well (i would rate it 3/5). There are one bar and two restaurants on the beach (the restaurant offer drinks as well)(as in november 2012) and if there are quite a few people you might be able to catch the locals performing fire show. And as for the bungalow, it's clean and towels are provided. The sea view room is quite worth the price and you'll get blue sea and sky view right from the bed. Big terrace to hang around if you don't feel like heading to the beach (the beach is just a walk down the stairs). Sunrise is not really viewable from the room but you might be able to see it from the other end of the beach (at sunrise restaurant).

We booked two nights and left after the first even though we could not get a refund during high season. We had a Delux bungalow and it was not Delux. Bathroom looked like prison cell, no toilet paper, stains all over walls in room, mold, rust, and ceiling and wall were separated. It did not feel clean at all. Boat only access. Food was good at the one restaurant. Beach was beautiful.
