The perfect place to relax”
I had an amazing time staying with Vuthy, Ney and family in their beautiful home. A little slice of paradise and the perfect place to relax and escape the relentless Cambodian heat. I spent most of my time staying in one of the private wooden bungalows which Vuthy has expertly built amongst the trees in his garden, but also stayed one night in the four bed dorm, which was equally comfortable. The Sorn family couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly and I felt totally at home during my stay ... whether I was relaxing in a hammock on their roof terrace or sharing in delicious home cooked family meals. I even helped to teach the local English class! Vuthy also arranged a two day jungle trek for me and five others with a fantastic local guide. Highly recommended. Thank you Vuthy and Ney for welcoming me to your beautiful home.

Great experience. The owner and his family are very kind and helpful people, which is why it feels like home. The facility is clean and well maintained. I recommend having lunch and dinner with family and other guests, the food is good and it's a great opportunity to chat and meet new people. The initiative to teach English to poor children is very nice. I hope to return one day.

Amazing homestay ”
Had an amazing stay with Vuthy and his family. I felt very welcomed into their home and enjoyed eating meals with the family. I stayed in a bungalow in the garden, which was cosy and simple. I enjoyed day trips to the volcanic lake, gem mines and local farm. Was one of the highlights of my trip, wish I could’ve stayed longer!

This is by far my favourite experience on my travels... Amazing family! Great food and even better people (at hostel and all the town)! They are all so welcoming!!! I did the jungle trek organised by hostel (2 days, 1 night, I wish I did more!!!), I played volleyball and pool with the locals and even when to one of there places to sing karaoke that evening. 3 of the children took me to their school to show me around and we played in the play area. There are beautiful waterfulls, a lovely lake (which you can spend lots of the day at) and overall just a chilled relaxed vibe at hostel. I stayed in bungalow, great value for money, hadnt had a room to myself in so long😍 Nai (the wife, definitely spelt name wrong🤦🏽♀️) teaches local kids English every weekday evening which I helped in every night, so heartwarming. Overall best experience, this family deserves the world and more💕💕💕💕

They explained and share a lot of Cambodian culture. Ny does free english lessons to kids that live on the neighbourhood, she does a fantastic job! And I can also participate and enjoy with the kids... The food was good and you can have big portions of it. I slept well in my bungalow, there are not comodities in the house but for me everything was fine (just take that into account if you like to stay in other kind of places). The place is outside the city but quiet and calm. They arranged everything we need! I did 2 days/1 night trekking in the jungle, such great experience with local guides! We spent good time talking and joking! I would rather recommend this guesthouse, best experience in Cambodia! Thanks Ny and Vuthy!

It s been a chance for us to be there ! We wanted to do a trek and Vuthy has been our great guide for 3 days in the jungle and in a minority village ! Such an adventure ! Then we help to build a classroom and started the English classes ! Cutthroat and his family are so nice and spend there energy to support learning in the village ! I would recommend this homestay to anyone going to Ratanakiri

Good homestay, overpriced food.”
Vuthy and his family are very kind. His rooms match the rest of Banlung for being roughly 4-5 dollars. The food was nice but overpriced at 10k riel. We were used to paying 5k for large fried noodles with egg and meat ect throughout Cambodia. Vuthy is making a living with the local kids by education, which is really cool. Good to experience for a day or so. Vuthy also organised our bus to Laos and we arrived well. Just a note, you should pay him directly for the rooms as Agoda has not paid him for any bookings just yet.

This homestay is my best experience in south east Asia ! I celebrated the new year with all the village and vuity family, it was so amazing and I realised that that was the real Cambodia, so welcoming and happy! Many things to do in the surroundings, you can book everything from the homestay ! Everyone should experience something like that ! Go there !!

Actually we only booked 2 nights, at the end we spent almost 2 weeks at this wonderful homestay. Vuthy and his family are so open-hearted, welcoming people, we just feel comfortable all the time. Very good homecooked food, funny times playing with the kids, talking and laughting with Vuthy and his wife, just great! They just opened a classroom for teaching english for kids around the community, a very good project and if you interested to teach some classes no problem, just go for it. We had the chance to spend Khmer New Year with them and the whole community, one of the nicest experience during our travel. We are very thankful for this unforgetable time and we will meet you again some time, for sure!

Sorry for my late, but I’m still doing it! Its a really homestay and don’t think it’s same like an hotel or hostel, you will stay at ‘home’ ^^ it’s literally how you will but a Cambodian home. I was really about my stay, they are really friendly, everytime try to help if they can, you have a really good good and you can even teach English to the kids from the village. Its was a wonderful experience for me I really loved it. But to be fair it’s far away from everything by motorbike or tuk-tuk its around 7 min drive and by walk around 45 min. You have to pick your choice stay in amazing place with local or be in hostel in the center.

vuthy and his family are absolutely perfect. you want the real Cambodia this is where you'll find it. It's a little commune were he teaches kids English. he's got an amazing plan for the future of his community. I helped clear out felled trees on what will soon be his farm. We spend four days with Vuthi, his wife and their two kids, it was good to share this few days with them. Vuthi is a smiling and enjoying guy who is invested about his community. He created two free english class so Monday to Friday he give children two hours of lessons. When we were there about 50 youngs was present, it was great! Also he came to pick us from the bus station, it was a great surprise after 8 hours uncomfortable in a mini van.

BEST PLACE EVER WITH THE BEST FAMILY EVER ”
C’est le cœur serré que nous venons de terminer notre séjour de 4 nuits dans cette homestay merveilleux. Si vous souhaitez passer un séjour tout confort, les pieds sous la table, passez votre chemin! Ce que propose Vuthy et Neil est une vraie inclusion au cœur de la culture cambodgienne. Durant notre séjour nous avons pu effectuer un trek de 2 jours 1 nuit au cœur de la jungle, être conviés à une fête gigantesque, aider le père de famille dans la dure labeur de son champ d’avocats (Vuthy est un homme au grand cœur qui rêve de construire une école d’anglais pour les enfants du village, pour mener à bien ce projet et financer tout ça il s’est donc lancé dans la culture d’avocats. Mais des abrutis ont volés la pompe qui irriguée tous ces plants. Depuis cela, il est obligé de tout faire à la force des bras, arroser 250 pieds en faisant des allers retours en portant 70 litres d’eau à chaque fois. Pour l’avoir aidé un matin, c’est inhumain!! Et cette fameuse machine coûte presque 400$. Touchés profondément par son histoire, nous avons donc avant de partir laissé une petite boîte coopérative. Si vous séjournez là-bas, je vous invite si vous le souhaitez, ou si vous pouvez à laisser quelques dollars, ou riels. Si chacun donne ne serait-ce qu’un peu, je suis persuadé que nous pourrions arriver rapidement à une somme assez importante pour soulager cette famille). Une expérience de vie bouleversante et inoubliable.

Heureux d'y avoir débuté notre voyage au Cambodge ”
de beaux moments passés avec Vuthy, sa femme Nai et leurs 2 souriants enfants. Ils donnent aussi chaque soir des cours d'anglais gratuits aux enfants du village et j'ai pu contribuer et donner un cours avec plaisir. Le homestay est un peu en dehors de la ville mais Vuthy vous aidera pour tout. Il faut juste lui dire ce que vous aimeriez faire. Avons pris tous nos petits dej et dîner sur place (2,5$ chaque). Occasion de partager d'autres moments et de manger de bons produits et plats locaux. Nai cuisine bien. Seul inconvénient mais indépendant de leur volonté : l'élevage de poulets juste à côté. Nous recommandons de séjourner chez cette belle famille et pour le prix, plusieurs nuits!

vuthy et sa famille sont adorables est très attachant ! les enfants sont tellement mignons .... tout ce petit monde me manque déjà !! personnes très intéressante et dédiées à leurs communautés, avec des cours d'anglais pour les enfants du quartier le soir, et ceux pour les plus petit et les moyens ! entrepreneur talentueux et incroyablement debrouillard ! si vous voulez experimentez le vraie homestay c'est l'adresse que je recommande ! et si vous y allez passez lui le bonjour de notre part ! vi et jean ;)
