Great value for a place to stay”
From when we first arrived the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and everything clean and working. The hotel was close to train and bus services and of course there were plenty of motorbike taxis and tuk tuks etc. The hotel is close to some large shopping centres (Big C and HomePro) as well as having plenty of stret stalls and 7/11s close by I'll certainly be staying there again next time in bangkok.

My stay at Ratchada City Hotel”
The hotel is an old fashioned but has all the amenities a 4 or 5 stars hotel has. It has maintained the basic requirements of a 3 star hotel. It has a large car park just outside the hotel lobby Receptionist was friendly and swift in the check-in and check-out. Upon reaching my room floor, there wasn't any air-conditioning along the corridor which minus a few points on the feel good for the hotel. The room door still open/close with physical key. I booked a room with one king size bed and the room was large with one small TCL TV, one small fridge with 2 water bottle. The bathroom has a bathtub that need proper cleaning as rust stain can be seen. The air-conditioning was okay, cool enough. The carpet might need some washing. The breakfast was good, has quite a good spread. Overall, the hotel is clean and comfortable but would be good to do some upgrading.

After reading some negative reviews about this hotel i was atually pleasantly surprised with my stay here. Large rooms, comfortable beds, clean and well furnished, friendly staff, free internet, great location and nice swimming pool. Ok the rooms decor is a little dated, the air con doesnt seem to adjust, the lifts are slow and one of them has a mind of its own and the breakfast is the same every day but for what we payed, it is great value.

nice hotel, good location”
very good location, easy reach of MRT, it is a very busy area of bangkok, taxis can take a long time to get you anywhere quick in peak times, so MRT was station was only 5 min walk from hotel whitch was very good, the only problem i had with hotel was i needed late check out of 5 hours, but they charge me 600 baht, i thought this was bad customer service as i just spent 9 nights in hotel.

Cheap hotel with adequate room and facilities”
stayed 3 days in bangkok in this hotel. first impression, for the price i paid for the hotel, the room size and amenities are ok/adequate. its a bit old as can be seen in the elevators and the hallways going to the rooms are not airconditioned. the room airconditiong itslef needs to be serviced as even if we left the room aircon almost the whole day, when we came back at night, its still not cool enough. breakfast is ok on the first day, but if you stay more than one day, then prepare to eat the same food everyday. but as mentioned, since the room itself is quite cheap... breakfast is not the least to be worried about.

Quiet hotel in a good location to MRT”
Comfortable hotel with great location swimming pool is on the 3rd floor to the rear of the hotel outside of sunlight which is perfect for swimming in the day time. Chamber Maid service in this hotel is excellent we did not wake up till 2pm and the room was made up on our return I was pleasantly surprised

One Night In Bangkok”
I have stayed at this Chinese-run hotel many times since the mid-1980s, and it is a decent hotel that is clean, well-located and maintains good service. The breakfast is a combination of western and Chinese food, but often the food is not warm if you wait too long after service becomes available. The hotel staff are friendly and happy to help with any problems one might have. It costs about 250 baht or less to the airport.

Big Rooms but tired”
The hotel caters for groups of, mostly Chinese, tourists but as long as you can avoid their arrivals/departures then it's a good place to stay. Large, comfortable rooms for a reasonable price. If you like to get around Bangkok using the public transport then it's ideal for the MRT/BTS. Also close to the all-night market at Huay Kwang with it's clothes and food stalls. Excellent cheap food available 24/7. Great value for money.

Good hotel for price, large Foyer. ”
Our time at the hotel was enjoyable, the staff were pleasant but the price of the room made it a good deal for an older style of hotel. Some areas in the hotel need attention and modernising. Also some administrative practices are a bit clumsy and not in keeping with a modern hotel. Worth checking it out.

Basic and outdated.”
Stayed for 2 weeks at 2 different rooms. The hotel need to be renovated but staff is friendly and helpful and the choice of buffet breakfast is OK though not always warm enough. The Underground (MRT) and skytrains are inexpansive and easy to go, once you know how it works. The MRT, small supermarkets and lots of small stalls along the roadside are all in walking distance. If luxury is not so much an issue than it´s well worth the money.

The hotel is a bit old but i found it very charming and clean. Staffs are super nice and helpful.Breakfast is varied not so far from MRT but very difficult to walk there because the narrow sidewalk.

Overall it was a pleasurable stay at the hotel. Location was good and the staffs were helpful and friendly. The furniture was old though and the television only shows limited channels. Was not aware if there is any room service for food delivery as there was no brochures given in the room. Room facilities could be much improved as well, eg.provide slippers as the room floor was in carpet.

Bad location!”
It was a bad experience. First of all, it took me 2 hours to find its location from Ratchada Road. No one knows where it is. So painful. Secondly, the staff of checking-in was terribly rude. Thirdly, the room is not clean and smelt.Very bad experience.The only one good thing was that one lady sent me to Ratchada Road with her car when I checked-out. Very appreciated that as its location is really not good.

I am quite please to stay in this hotel, except for the Wifi services. I paid for three days. but can only use on either on my mobile phone or my computer. i cannot use both at the same time, and the hotel lobby using and set of password. And the bathroom, prefer liquid soap. The rest is acceptable. I will stay agin for my forecoming trip again

This is my first time trying to stay at this hotel as my usual one across the street is fully booked during my time of stay. Most of the hotel guests are from overseas tour groups which makes the breakfast period a bit too crowded. 5 minutes walk to MRT with 7-11 very near-by. Overall value for money just that the room conidition a bit too old.
