resort at the heart of a city”
I've tried a couple of (not so)luxury hotel in Banjarmasin. I think Rattan Inn is the best if you are looking for a quite, easy to sleep hotel. it feels like home. everything here is just perfect as for Banjarmasin standard I don't think you can find any hotel better than this. my only complaint is that, the rate Agoda's giving isn't better than the walk-in rate. I think I Pay around extra USD10 or more... I think Agoda should negotiate more to the vendor's as USD is strengthening & Hotel business is slows down, they should have better bargaining power. it's bad for coorporate image when you published "lowest price guaranteed" but in fact it's more expensive than the (undiscounted) walk-in rates.

silent hotel far from the street very zen ”
very nice hotel far from the street , modern, very good taste in decoration with a zen touch ,very kind smiling people working in the hotel (they did upgrade our room) the room is nice very silent (no noise from the swimming pool , thick glass on the windows and also no noise from the adjacent room , so very well isolated), great breakfeast in a japanese restaurant with plenty of fresh juices, asiatic food , fresh fruits, the swimming pool is very nice and wwide When we saw the swiss hotel which is in the middle of the noise of heavy traffic jams we are certain the rattannn inn is the only nice hotel of banjarmasin ( my wife originates from banjarmasin) heny and jean

Unexpectedly Great Hotel in Banjarmasin”
I wasn't expecting much when I head to Banjarmasin to visit our families, but the hotel blew us away. It's clean, it's pleasant and their service were really fast. We had to request for ironing board and on another occasion, hair dryer. Both items came in under 1 minute. Really efficient. We were moved to a different room on the last day as the double bed was booked by another. Sadly, the hot showers didn't work but they managed it well by having us move to another room. The other drawback of this visit was that, they were having a new year count down party right at the centre of the hotel rooms. Honestly, had I known that they'll be that noisy till late, I wouldn't have chosen to stay there. Hotel is a place to rest, I would suggest the management to have the party elsewhere instead of the heart of the rooms. The hotel itself is about 6km away from city centre and due to a road construction, the jam was pretty massive throughout our stay.

It was my second time stay in Rattan Inn The first one on August and at that time lobby hotel was under renovation I got a very good room, new, and very clean This second time i was little bit disappointed with the cleanliness of my room There were small cockroaches in the buffet table, room was old, and not clean even though i was book a better room compare to my first stayed

Lovely Hotel but difficult to use meeting rooms”
It was quiet Okay for business trip to Banjarmasin. But the price was a bit expensive compared with other hotels in Indonesia. I could not use the free massage voucher I received due to fully booked.

Definitely won't come back”
Me and my families stayed in Rattan Inn for a night. We didn't like our stay in the hotel. we book superior and deluxe room and we were surprised because both rooms have the same size and the only different thing is deluxe room has a view to the pool. Well, you have to see in the edge of the window, so you can see the pool. what a price for deluxe room! The staffs are slow, it took more than 15 mins to check in and check out and they are lack of information about their own regulations. We had a dinner but the meals are so so and also with the breakfast. I won't comeback to this hotel nor recommend it to my friends

when we first arrived at the hotel, we were stunning by the hotel's interior design which showed the uniqueness of indonesian culture along with the aroma-theraphy that they put on each side of corner, which enhance the image of indonesian's culture. the hotel service was absolutely good, because whenever we need their help, they will greet us with smile first and offer to help willingly. after all, we are so satisfied with the hotel's great service and interior design..two thumbs up..

the location is perfect for most sightseeing, within 10/15 mins easy walk. the staff are absolutely wonderful. the rooms are not spacious,but everything is of high quality, very comfy beds and pillows etc. the free hot chocolate provided in the reception daily was often very welcome and yummy. i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.
