Our Favorite Place to Stay during our visit to Thailand”
This was a perfect getaway for us. We stayed one night in the OLD CITY of Chiang Mai and decided we just needed to get out of that area because of the noise and pollution of the city. Luckily we were able to find Rawisara Villa Resort. The staff was so friendly and assisted us in every need and had perfect recommendations for us. The hotel felt remote and secluded even though we were just a few km outside the city center. Rawisara had a shuttle that ran twice daily for convenience if you wanted to headed into the city. We opted to take the shuttle and rent a scooter so that we could explore he countryside during the day. WHAT A GREAT IDEA! Rawisara was the perfect HQ for our stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The wifi was decent. The pool was a perfect dipping pool to cool off and the garden setting was so lovely. The suites were such a welcome peace after the long days of exploring. We could not have enjoyed our trip the way we did without the Rawisara experience and staff.
Excellent and so pretty quite ”
Hotel a bit far from the city but was great and so private coz not many rooms and guests , also the hotel has shuttle bus to the city in the morning and evening .Room was very clean and big bathroom with wonderful Jacuzzi just one thing we didn't like about mosquito but staff came to spray for us every evening so much better. All staff was friendly and helpful .
A beautiful quiet oasis after day in the city”
Absolutely wonderful! A little out of Chiang Mai city but that is a really positive thing. Hotel staff couldn't do enough for us and were so lovely. This hotel is a little oasis after a busy trip into the city. Lovely salt water pool which is always quiet and has beautiful surrounding plants. Would definately only stay here next time we come to Chiang Mai.
Nice resort away from town”
The Resort is nice and boutique size. It is away from city center so having a car helps. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The bathroom was new and super clean, containing nice towels, bathrobes, a hairdrier and customized toiletries. The mattress is new and linen changed daily. Resort has a beautiful garden and a nice swimming pool. The pool side can be slippery for young kids and elderly though. Breakfast is standard; but the portions are very generous. The staff is slow but friendly. The manager(ment) is just friendly enough but all in all could be more customer centric. The hotel is a popular hub for Chinese tourists that come and go daily. Its a very nice place that my family would be glad to return to.
Very relaxing stay at a family resort”
This is a great resort for those who want to escape some days the busy life, the staff is very friendly and is trying to make your stay very comfortable, the resort is very lovely decorated, the rooms are very spacious, the pool is a real eye-cather, the resort is outside of town and therefore a car or organized transportation is highly recommended.
Terrible Location! Way too far from the city! ”
Our stay was absolutely horrible for reasons that could have been easily fixed. We arrived very late at night after an incident with flying, and were glad to see the Rum at the room bar. Unfortunately at 1:00 a.m. the staff didn't think that coke went with rum, and so that wasn't stocked. This type of lack of detail orientation followed everything we did. The bathroom door locked itself, and the attendant took an hour searching for the right key to open it up that first night while I feel asleep on the bed. We walked into air conditioning during cold weather. We had to ask for an extra blanket. We booked a room with a Jacuzzi, and was told the rooms were taken. (We were held hostage as all of Chaing Mai was totally booked by this point). The coffee and breakfast was horrendous and the staff didn't understand anything of what is common courtesy and/or expectations. For example, they didn't understand what an omelet was and how to serve it. They served Sanka exclusively. The breakfast was cheap and bad. There was only one shuttle to the city daily and that was at 6:30 p.m. after one has wasted the day already. They charged exorbitant prices for a motorcycle, but one had no choice if they wanted to go to the city. The hotel is located on a back road far from the city in a very confusing rural area. The staff doesn't attempt to help the guests to make their way to the city, forcing an isolation on the guests. Don't come here! The pictures are misleading. The hotel is beautiful when it's lit up, but they turn the lights off at 9:00 p.m. at night so you can't even come back after a long day to enjoy it!
Good staff, clean large rooms”
A very noisy family checked in and were very active in the halls, the staff should have asked them to be quiet, instead of 2 sets of guest. An apology from the staff did not change the fact that a very quiet small boutique hotel became a kids playground with noisy parents.
A romance and relax hotel but far from city centre”
Great and clean villa with a extremely large bathroom with jacuzzi. Nice and relax environment which can give you a great day for staying here. The location is remote which is difficult to go and nothing (even restaurants) nearby.
Very pretty Very good view”
It has jacuzzi tub and the price of the grand villa I think its worth the price and the breakfast it has Asian and American breakfast the Asian breakfast has pork porridge, chicken porridge the American breakfast has all kinds of fried egg, sunny side up and other kinds of eggs. This hotel is close to Central Festival a mall which has a lot of things for you to shop
Great ambience, quiet, peaceful!”
It was very pleasant. Very relaxing. Small. Breakfast was included but no other meals available. Not really a restaurant. So, should not advertise as one. We were out from town--15 to 20 minutes so needed a taxi each time. Did provide shuttle in evening going (not returning). Staff was very friendly & helpful. More English skills needed if they want to attract international travelers. They did upgrade us to a bigger suite--very nice with lots of room & very comfortable room. Air could be controlled. Bath was fantastic--huge with jacuzzi tub (although it takes long time to fill)--very spa like. We loved our stay here & would definitely recommend it!!! The manager, Kay, was very helpful.
Great stay at Rawisara! The staff were amazing and it’s a quaint place with a nice layout. Transportation is easy to get into town and it’s a nice place away from the hustle. Loved it!
GREAT RESORT ”
Everything you need is here. Easy to get around in Chiang Mai..
NICE RELAXING RESORT”
Great resort about 7km from town. Perfect place to getaway ...
Excellent Customer Service and Room is so clean”
All staff is very helpful to arrange anything u need, very friendly.. taken care of my mother she doesn't walk so well.
Excellent people excellent quality of rooms”
YES for sure.
Wow what an awesome little resort”
Our stay couldnt of been better, the family self contained unit was excellent. As soon as we walked in it was like wow ,would love to have a house like this
Nice place with major electricity problems ”
I really wanted to like this place. It's quant and quiet but it had major electricity problems. My friend nearly lost her hand as she plugged in the lamp and it blew out the AC and the entire building electricity. The cord severed in two and she had black soot all over her hand. The staff was helpful but we had to change rooms twice. Then when we checked out they tried to charge us for the lamp!!! I could not believe it. I firmly but kindly told them we did nothing negligent and we would not pay. After a phone call and several minutes they decided to cancel the debt. I will never stay at this place again.
Serene Gardens and Villas”
We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in a beautiful garden with modern Thai style villas surrounding it. In the middle stands a beautiful black tiled pool that stands perfectly still when no one is in it and reflects all the surrounding beauty of the sky and resort like a giant mirror. The ambiance is quiet and relaxing. The staff are lovely and accommodating in the best of Thai ways. Rawisara Villas was a bit far from town and the local tourist attractions, but if you can pay for a taxi to get around that's no problem. The hotel provides a free ride into town every evening. The breakfast is very basic and not much to speak of, but not terrible. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend this resort to friends and families? Yes. I only caution you to watch out for the slippery pool if you have small children.
Gorgeous resort, good bed, bad couch and chairs”
We Stayed 3 nights in the Villa with the Jacuzzi. This place is just gorgeous! Small criticism:They had a lovely water fountain feature at the pool and outside our bathroom that, when turned on, made everything seem like paradise......but they only had it on for a short time each day. Pros THE BED IS COMFORTABLE, softer than most Asian beds but not a pillow-top like in the US, Villas was very spacious and clean, complex was amazingly lovely, internet worked very well, air-conditioning worked well, mall nearby has everything the privileged people want or need with several food options & a fancy grocery store and is in walking distance, breakfast was good, our Jacuzzi wasn't working the first night and as soon as I told them they fixed it immediately (not fixed totally , but better than before). Pool was perfect and perfect temperature too so we could stay in a looong time and not get too cold. Cons I'm guessing there are a ton of miquitoes- I got bit 2x the first day- but it was very dry when we went and I have bug repellent clothes so I had no problems, Except for the mall (who goes on vacation to go to the mall?) there is nothing nearby food-wise or even anything to do touristy- unless you hire a car/taxi, resort has limited selection for food, coffee at breakfast is instant coffee, the shades in the villa don't keep the morning light out, decorative water fountain/features by bathroom and at the pool are only on for a short time each day. Furniture in villa: couch, chairs, and porch furniture is not meant for sitting on for more than a minute or so- it's not comfy at all. the pool chairs are similar, we tried sitting on them, but they are angled so that you slide right off. the pool chairs are also made of this really slick wicker so it's like trying to stay put on a water slide
Very nice hotel with beautiful rooms”
I very much liked my stay at the Rawisara but would probably stay somewhere in the old city centre next time as the hotel is quite far away from the city and transfer is very complicated because most of the taxi and tuk tuk drivers refuse to travel all the way to Tha Sala. The hotel offers a transfer to the city for 200 baht at any time which worked out well but getting back was complicated at times.
