Lovely staff, great room, nice pool next door”
Ray Beach Inn is a lovely hotel for the low to medium budget traveller. The room was lovely with comfortable beds, mozzy nets (although not needed), veranda or balcony & good hot shower. The Indonesian food is great but the Western food needs to be scrutinised a bit more by the French owner who knows what we expect (not under cooked chips & bones in a boneless chicken breast? & far too much batter). The owners & staff are lovely & are family friendly. There is free use of the lovely pool next door. Lovina isn't great however. It has an awful beach & the dolphin watching is really a case of who can run over them first out of 50+ boats. This needs to stop or it will completely kill off tourism in the area.

GREAT VALUE for this location--w POOL !”
I stayed at Ray (say rye or wry) Beach Inn several days, and each day I awakened to a beautifully CLEAN, inviting swimming pool just outside my door! The pool is skimmed and vacuumed every morning, between 6-7am. It is available for use until 10pm. The rooms are also very CLEAN--and a mosquito coil is available upon request-- tho rarely needed (rainy season). The staff were quite friendly, and even gave me motoscooter lifts to Lovina Beach for the low rate of IDR10,000. The room I chose was Breakfast included, with 3 choices: I had either the EGGS or the PANCAKE, and each time it was delicious and delightful to the eye. Each morning there is a thermos of HOT water w Instant coffee, tea, and sugar placed on the table outside the room. The rooms are cleaned when requested. On the same street, there are several other cafes*restaurants, convenience stores, and laundry-- also tour agencies. In the area, there are dive shops, hot springs, Temples, and rice paddies, as well as trekking sites. I definitely recommend Ray Beach Inn!

Lovely hotel, great atmosphere, brilliant staff!”
Beautiful stay at the Ray Beach Inn. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The grounds of the hotel are brilliant and very well maintained. Joe and Virginie are beautiful hosts and i was lucky enough to be part of a ceremony that was held on the grounds. Hotel was hard to find at first as it is located a bit further out from Lovina but once you're there, it's easy to go around. Magical place!

Great Rooms, with an Excellent Pool!”
The Ray Beach Inn is less than 5 min away (moto) from Lovina Beach, proper. The staff are so sweet, courteous, and helpful in all aspects! The rooms are very clean, will be cleaned as often as you ask. All rooms look out to a crystal clear, large pool, with chaise and sun-umbrellas. I had a fan room, which was sufficient in Jan rainy season. The included breakfast was egg any style with toast or fruit pancake: I had omelette (scrambled eggs, really) as well as the pancake--drizzled with chocolate. Whenever I chose to swim, I just asked the staff to turn on the pump+filter. I was the only person there, and everyone was still being busy with their jobs, keeping the place in top form ! It's a Great Value!

Comfortable and affordable”
Ray beach Inn exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. One minute walk to the beach, was able to walk into town along the beach or road. Breakfast was great, the restraunt had a large menu and the food was good. Free access to neighboring hotels swimming pool. Good value for money.

We had a very pleasant stay. Hotel is nice, right close to the beach. Clients from Ray Inn can access to the swimming pool next door. People from the hostel helped us to organise our shuttle bus too next city.

Great for the Price”
Probably the best budget hotel/guest house I stayed in in Bali. Typically, the location isn't great but there's still stuff round about including the (less nice end of) the beach and central Lovina is only 10mins walk. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Shower was broken when I arrived but they fixed it within a few hours of being told so I can't really fault them. Breakfast was really good. Pool is right outside the rooms and whilst the area round about could be doing with some tiles the pool itself is very nice.

Nice ,clean and very hospitality hotel”
If you want to find another enviroment to holiday ,like not to crowded you go Lovina Beach and stay at this Hotel, is clean and ok for price we pay. Breakfast it ok too, for lunch and dinner you can eat at the hotel or nearer hotel, or can go Singaraja about 20 minutes from there with a lot of choiced . To beach just 5 minutes walking and don't forget to see Dolphin in the morning.

Helpful staff, and a Great Pool !”
This is my second set of two days at Ray Beach Guesthouse. I was so impressed, overall, I decided to stay longer. One morning, one of the 3 puppies was yelping (from 6 am) ; after half an hour, I opened the door, saw the pups with the pool guy. I told him I really didn't like being awakened by yapping at 6am, and that I really didn't want to be awakened the next morning by the noise. He smiled, nodded, and put the dogs in their kennel. Every morning the pool is vacuumed, the whole area and by the rooms is swept; instant coffee, sugar, tea, and a thermos of hot water s brought to the table outside the door. Most of the time the WiFi has been OK. The staff is always courteous, friendly, smiling, willing to help in any way. Even tho there was only one group for one night (in addition to myself), the staff continued with their daily tasks, keeping the guesthouse very clean, neat, and orderly.

Good location”
I booked Ray Beach Inn via Agoda. I stayed there for only one night and couldn't really have much idea about this hotel. However I found that the hotel was clean, the staffs were nice, fast check-in and check-out and located very near to Lovina Beach. The breakfast was also nice. The only minus point is the bathroom is out dated, no soap nor shampoo, hot water was off in the night.

Cheap and nice accomodation”
We were a group of 10 people and had an amazing time. It was very cheap and really close to the beach! We bought the dolphin and snorkel package and it was amazing! One of the staff members was to pushy with a bonfire dinner package, but apart from that they were really helpful! The rooms are nice and large with the basics! If you are going to Lovina on low budget stay here!

Nice Hotel but needs some work”
Hotel has really good location as very near by beach. Rooom is lovely but bed should be a little bit bigger especially when you have a child and 3 of you have to fit (no extra bed available). Instead buying new furniture for terrace or patio better to do some work in bathroom as walls are very shabby and should be tiled instead painting. Otherwise staff very friendly and reasonable price for food.

Nice Quiet Location but hard to find!”
Rays is a nice budget accommadation down a quiet street in Lovina. Rooms are ok. Gardens nice. Staff goo. Restaurants and bars just outside. Fifteen minute walk up beach to main Lovina area. My only annoyance was the place and street is not well signposted. Had to ask about 10 locals to point me in right direction. A nice place to relax.

Relaxing stay by the beach ”
The place is really close to the beach and quiet. There is a restaurant in the front of the homestays, what is really good. The breakfast was amazing and also is a nice place to sit. The room has a good size, the bed sleep well and the mosquito net was fine. But you also need it. The mesh before the window was broken, so there were a lot of insects in my bathroom. The door between the bedroom and bathroom was broken, so all the insects came also in my room. Not so clean..

Beautiful room”
We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The breakfast was nice, as was the quick walk to the beach. The pool next door was also a lovely benefit for guests staying at the hotel. Overall I would highly recommend it and the little beachy restaurants near by the place with awesome food!

Making a splash ”
A quaint and tranquil property set slightly away from the gentle rumble of the north Bali sea. The hotel itself had character and gently persuaded you into its oriental setting. The pool was superb but for me the sun beds oozed quality and even in the most precarious of situations they shone through. In today's manic and complicated world it is essential for a sunbed to support you in total comfort and be adaptable in the many situations it faces. For me the winner outright is that amiable sunbed, not demanding money or requesting information about your next move, it stood their with or without you holding firm and tough through rain or shine.

Great budget accomodation”
Great accomodation for those on a budget. Good size pool, very close to the beach and the sunsets are wonderful! Local restaurants serve really good economical food. Room was clean and tidy although not very big. No real garden to speak of, view from room was concrete wall. But still it was a great place to stay.

niice hotel”
the ray beach hotel has nce size rooms and a garden like atomosphere. it is not really that close to town,but had closewalk to beach. the beach area by the hotel however, was not that good with many boats and no beachsde seating other than a old concrete dock. i think you could do better elsewhere, plus did not like the internet fee.
