More about Raya Buri Resort

More about Raya Buri Resort

This resort is a little over 60km from Kanchanaburi, close to the Si Nakharin Dam. Activities close to the resort include kayaking, rafting, and excursions to the many waterfalls. A day trip to the city should be included with a visit to the Death Railway and the Tiger Temple on the agenda. Located beside a lake, the resort itself is uniquely built with a portion of the resort and some rooms built over water. The best part is that no matter where you choose to stay, you will be able to enjoy picturesque views. Raya Buri Resort is ideal for those looking for a weekend away from the crowds and the noise.

Stunning View but what a steep stairs!”

Stunning view, lots of activities, really close to the nature

very nice hotel with stunning view. however, the road which lead you to the hotel is not suitable for family car. you probably need a lift up one or pick up car to get there. but for somebody who love adventures this should be a good start for you. you will be riding a car throu main road, some local village and middle of farming area before getting to the resort. breakfast buffet were nice. something to improve: 1. stairs, it is too steep for elder people. plus quite slippery. (just some idea golf car or atv to commute around the resort?) 2. not many electricity plug in the room except the bathroom. 3. some room light bulb of the balcony in the room need to be change. overall the resort is reasonable as its price.

Great Location, Great Stay”

Villa Rooms right next to the pool, pool area, close to the beach, the restaurant serves some very good western meals, breakfast is excellent.
None

We stayed here for 3 nights in December last year. We decided to book the villa room which are right near the pool. The quality of the rooms is excellent and they are very comfortable. The only slight negative thing i found (not really a negative) was there was not a proper shower. The bathrooms have a spa bath and there is a shower head and hose that comes out of the bath. No big issue just meant you had to sit down when having a shower. We had read previous reviews ou the resort before e booked and there was a lot of cmments about the lack of choice for breakfast. I must say they must have taken note because their breakfast buffet was excellent and the sellection was huge (Eggs cooked to order, bacon, hash brown, baked tomato, pancakes, toast, and a good selection of thai dishes). We dined in the restaurant on the first night we were there and tried some of the western dishes. They were so good we went back again on the last night we were there. They had Pork Cordon Bleu on the menu but we requested if we could have this with Chicken and they prepared this with no problem at all which was fantastic and also really delicious. I only wish I spent some more time here. I will definately go back.

Floating raft, best view of sunrise, cozy
service is must improved

The location of Ryaburi is the best location that I have ever seen in Kanchanaburi Dam. The most impressive thing in this resort is designed and harmony of chill life. Nice breakfast and room. Good for couples and couples retreat when they need some cozy place for relaxation.

Lovely secluded resort”

Peace and quiet

Staff are really pleasant and give you a warm welcome upon your arrival. The restaurant has a great selection of very good tasty food and prices are very reasonable. Menu is in both Thai and English language, which isn't always to be expected in a resort found in a remote area. Kayaking on the water looked great fun to do, I didn't try it, however those that I saw on the water seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. My stay was in mid January and the cool nights afforded me the opportunity to sleep with the balcony doors open with fly-screens protecting me from unwanted bugs. The chanting of Buddhist monks from somewhere distant across the water, was a very pleasant way to be awoken in the morning.

Fishing in Kanchanaburi”

Floating Room with Lake at your patio edge. Glass doors overlooking water.
Climb up hill to dining room difficult. No air conditioning in dining area.

A most enjoyable and relaxing resort. Top quality linens and great bed and an air conditioner that actually keeps the room cool. The concept of a floating room with all the amenities of a 3 star hotel is quite unique. And the Lake is so so big. Only minor problem was staff never picked up the room service dishes and left them at the front door from lunch to the next day.

It is located in the middle of nowhere but yet when you arrive, you will see how beautiful the resort is and it's peaceful. - wifi is available only at the restaurant

Quiet surrounding, Good relaxation”

Good View, Good Dinning, Good Activities

I stayed with my family at Raya island room on a weekday. It's very quiet private and good for relaxing. It has a very beautiful lake scenery. I can spend all day reading my book at terrace. If you need some activity. They also have Kayak and Swan boat with the additional charge. Wi-fi internet is available only in the lobby. If you select Island suite room you will have a bigger room and beautiful sunrise scenery. Road to this place feel a bit deserted but safe. It's a bit far from city center. But that's why you get a very private location. Anyway if they have lot of teenagers check-in the same day. It will be extremely noisy as they will have activity all day.

Specular View!

If you're looking for a quiet stay in the middle of nowhere this is the hotel/resort for you! The view is fantastic and the hotel has activities like paddling kayak and pedal boats to rent with a cheap price! The sunset is amazing! Although we had ants in our room (which is normal in an exotic country) but we enjoyed our stay anyway!
