The Resort must have been amazing in its hay day. The rooms were very clean & comfortable but the shower in the bathroom was cold and the tap in the bathroom sink was very very hot. there was only 1 channel on the TV that was English and it was a religious talking channel. The breakfast was poor for Europeans. How ever the gardens are beautiful and the swimming pools excellent.
Excellent location ”
Beautiful private beach Excellent service, easy check in/out Friendly staff.
Relax & Views”
The location is breathtaking and idyllic when you have the first views from the top of the hill which hides this resort fro the road. Staff is helpful though not much English, breakfast is correct, spa is a marvel and the different spots where you can disconnect are endless... a pity they do not take much care of the stretch of private beach they have since we found it quite dirty every time we've been there!
Excellent get away for a few days”
The staff is super friendly and most speak fairly good English. All areas of the property are well signed. Meals are well prepared with no rush to get you out. Had great old time piano music. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The included breakfast all you can eat has a wonderful variety for all tastes.
Great location and great staff”
The good: - Absolutely gorgeous location and facilities - Very accommodating and wonderful staff (helped us ensure our island hopping logistics went smoothly when Klook failed on us) - Breakfast buffet is quite tasty (assortment of farang and Thai food) The bad - Drinks on site and pre-fixe meals are expensive. Better off going into Baan Phe or Koh Samet instead to eat
The hotel is locating in a peninsular which both side facing the sea. All rooms are sea view. The facility was well designed but poorly maintained. However it still worthwhile to visit considering the astonishing view of the beach, the dock bridge and the Greenland.
Nice hotel in an excellent location for us. We love to get away from the city and hustle bustle and highly populated with tourist places and this place was perfect for this. We had a premier seafront bungalow and it might be considered dated (as well as the whole hotel), but the room and view was actually really lovely, We'd already spent a week in the Marriott and this was very different but we are not disappointed. The reception staff seem to have varied abilities to understand me, however I noticed sometimes they understood perfectly and other times it was like I was speaking in a new language. I felt the meal options were limited as a vegetarian which was a shame as I love Thai food. As the hotel is so far away from anything, you need to get a taxi to go anywhere, which i did a few times and its worth the trip out. It is a dated hotel in a relatively remote area, but for a total relax it fits the bill nicely.
No way near a 4* hotel ”
We had originally booked 2 nights - (2 rooms) 2 couples and 1 child (9 years) as we had planned to celebrate my husbands birthday there. But since we all were so disappointed about the hotel, rooms and food we decided to check out despite we couldn’t get any refund. On top of this - sadly enough we were probably not more than 10-15 staying at this huge hotel. We are frequent travelers and would rate this hotel as 2,5 * It definitely needs maintenance and an upgrade to become 4*
Nice resort far from services”
Nice resort, but really far from services and town. No contnuous transportation to town. Feeling isolated from the surrounding areas. Meals quite expensive at resort restaurants. Pool area really nice. Ok breakfast. Beaches very dirty (full of garbage) and the garbage was not cleaned away.
I was so impressed when driving up to this resort, it’s generous size and multiple pools were visible from the mountain drive down. The resort sits on a small peninsular giving it all around sea view. The lobby and entrance were immaculate and well designed. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and even gave us breadsticks which we loved! I came here with my friend- were both teachers in BKK and wanted a chilled weekend away from the city- this resort provided just that. The room view was just beautiful, beds clean and comfy, shower hot and satisfying. The only thing I would say is that the pool furniture was a bit old and could do with being replaced- old wood, shabby sun bed cushions. The spa was also amazing and had some great scented oils! Overall, I really enjoyed this stay and can’t wait to come back again 🤗
Resonable,... but what it used to be... it's going down...”
The location and scenery are if you have a car, because it is in the middle of nowhere! The restaurant is quite simple and in 5 years they never changed the menu. Amd as we come there already for 5 years we are finished with it. Because we celebrated our 10th anniversary i wanted to have a bouquet of roses in the room on our arrival, amd this created a hugh problem. Only after 5 emails and assistance of the manager it could be fixed. Staff is very friendly. But for us, after 5 times: it is over. No investments, no up-dates, nothing attractive anymore, and a restaurant which is close to 2-star.
Great location and stunning view!”
The best place to stay in Rayong for a relaxing family trip. You can do lots of activities here; private beach, swimming pool ,free kayaking, great fishing place and lovely staff!
pretty nice place to visit”
nice place surrounded by the nature, gooooood service with big smiles, clean room, the food taste good but the toilet don't have a latch.
Best Location with good service”
I've stayed at this Rayong hotel for many times since I was very young. I love the atmosphere. The location is just the best and the staff are lovely and service-minded. The price is definitely a bit too high, would only be there when there's promotion :)
Great view of mountain and sea. Not very big hotel, well maintain place. Nice size pool with small private beach. But too many jelly fish so did not get to enjoy the sea water. Food and service was good.
Great Wonderful Resort Hotel”
Very relaxing and wonderful stay. Though it was the rainy season, it was just great relax stay in this marvelous resort. The view from the room is something to remember always. They are re-constructing the walking pier which was damaged during the storm and I hope the next time we are back, we are able to walk the romantic walk along the pier and gaze at the sea.
A Very Satisfied Customer and Friend!”
It was a very wonderful and relaxing stay. I have returned again and again and for good reasons too. For a perfect peace of mind and a truly calm and enjoyable hotel resort stay in Rayong, this is and will be my first and only choice. Kudos again to all the staff. I have just booked my vacation next month at Rayong Resort and I am looking forward to being treated like a VIP once again. Well done.
An idyllic paradise”
An idyllic location perfect for the most peaceful and calm holiday...and that is what we got! You can spend your days in the hotel enjoying the spectacular views from your room, lay in the sun by the beautiful sea and by the pools, lovely dinner with the sound of the waves, etc. If you need to move out to explore beyond the hotel, you do need some form of transport. Other than that, it was just perfect for us.
I like this hotel”
I think this is a wonderful hotel. It's a fine location, right next to the small national park of Kao Laem Ya, looking out to Ko Samet. The hotel blends in well, between the mountain and the sea. It's got a safe, sandy beach on the park side, good swimming pools on the Ban Phe side, a rocky headland in front, great grassy lawns with palm trees running down to the beach and some nice shady spots to relax next to the beach. Snorkeling is possible at the rocky ends of the beach - plenty of fish and a little coral, clarity will depend on the weather and the season. Our room was well-kept and clean. The "Deluxe Plus" option on the 7th floor turned out very good for the family - nice big living area, plenty of space for an extra bed, view of the park and Ko Samet from the balcony. The hotel may be a little old now and not quite five-star Marriot / Sheraton standard but those places are just high-class McDonalds anyway, right? This place has more character. The one downside I found was the food is expensive by Thai standards - very good, but expensive. But then there are fabulous cheap seafood restaurants just down the road along Maerampung beach so no excuse for eating pizza at the hotel the whole time.
My dream hotel in Rayong”
This is my third time staying here. I am in love with this hotel. The service provided is topnotch, a breathtaking seaview from you room to die for, a quiet and serene atmosphere perfect for any honeymooners, fast and free internet... the list goes on. Minor gripe is the lack of good tv channels and the toilet flush in my room was very loud.... it will wake up your partner in the middle of the night if you flushes. Also, if you love fishing... this hotel is paradise indeed and provides the perfect pier for you to fish, day and night. We went to Koh Samet on a day trip and we hated it...noisy, over-crowded, over-rated beach. It was a big relief to come back to Rayong Resort. For inner peace, do stay here.
