I loved the hotel. Really nice room, helpful and efficient English speaking staff, nice restaurant, pool, and my nippy little electric bike for only 8000 kyat per day!

charming boutique hotel with attentive staff”
free and huge breakfast, nice little pool, attentive staff
It was an off peak season in May when we were there and we had the amenities and the hotel staff's attention almost all to ourselves. WE were also pleasantly surprised that our booking came with free daily breakfast. The choices are limited but the servings are huge and very tasty. WE love the fruit platter, freshly squeezed fruit juice, fried rice and I must mention that they don't scrimp on the bacon. We also appreciate the hotel pool to escape the midday heat and humidity. The staff are really attentive and you can rely on for sightseeing and dining recommendations. They arranged our van and horse cart transportation for going around and sightseeing and secured our bus tickets going back to Yangon without additional charge.

Welcoming, competent staff”
aesthetic appeal; friendly staff; comfortable room
The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable with the swimming pool right outside my room. Dining was very good with the option to eat in the garden of the dining room. It's position in New Bagan was excellent. It was easy to get to Old Bagan where the museum and many temples are by horse and cart; but unless you retain a driver, it is not easy to find someone to bring you back. The hotel will arrange transport for a Mt Popa half day trip; and no doubt to other sites as well.

Nice, clean, friendly”
Staff; Pool; Cleanliness
When we first arrived, we thought we were a bit out of town. That’s because there is no town. Had lunch in a little shack by the side of the road and stopped a passing pony and trap. We booked him and a friend for a tour of the ruins next day. These cost 25,000 Kyat (25USD) each. Super trip. More temples than you can shake a stick at. Ended up at the top of one temple for the sunset. Ate both nights at Trip Advisor recommended restaurant, forgotten the name but there is only one!. A bit expensive (by Burmese standards) and portions modest, but very well cooked and presented. Excellent bread rolls!!

The staff made the difference”
Location, Staff, Clean
We enjoyed our stay at the Raza Gyo. The staff were amazing and very helpful. At one point in our stay, I got food poisoning from a restaurant in the town. The staff went to amazing lengths to help me get better. Tracking down all sorts of things from the kitchen and around the hotel. They continued to check on my well-being. The Hotel itself was relaxed, and had an amazing pool. The rooms were nice, and the internet was fast throughout the hotel. I would recommend to travelers.

architecture, dining experience, service
It didnt start off too well when the taxi that we booked at the hotel didn't turn up at the airport. The taxi that we booked in the next morning for sunrise also did not come ob time, resulting us to miss the moment and has to go the following morning. If you are making any taxi service from the hotel, advise to really 5x confirm or make your own arrangement so as to avoid any travel disappointment (I was, twice). Other than that, services was great - they even lent me their reception computer for a quick email as the nearby Internet cafe was closed.

Great Hotel in Bagan”
Restaurant, Pool, Good Service
Location- walking distance to the restos Breakfast- good selection and great service Service- english speaking staff that understands what is customer service Transportation Service- have private taxis for your convenience but higher rate than those privare taxis outside; E-bikes can be rented but expect to experience flat tires as the road have spiky branches from the trees. Just call the hotel and they come and replace your bike but u have to wait for almost half an hr. Hotel- simple modern design; clean Room- simple, spacious, clean with balcony facing the pool Bathroom- clean, hot water available

Great retreat from the heat ”
Staff were friendly and attentive, the pool was a welcome respite after a long and hot day, rooms were quiet and comfortable.
We had a pleasant experience and enjoyed the hotel and surrounds! There were only three other guests and so staff were really attentive. Accessing wifi was a bit of a hit and miss- staff changed the two step login process every morning! You had to find out the new login details on your way to the breakfast room. The staff started early with their cleaning duties- the tiles were mopped during breakfast time and I slipped as I had not spotted the sign which was placed a little out of the way.

Pleasant room and staff”
Nice accommodations, pool and staff
Bagan is really widespread so it doesn't matter that this isn't in the "city center." The city is not that concentrated anyway. So this was a nice place to stay. It was easy to walk in New Bagan and the staff was very nice. Restaurant was decent.

Inconsistency in rooms, could be better”
Easy access to the airport, helpful staff, international breakfast
Saw good reviews backed up with nice photos of the room. However, was disappointed when I checked into our superior room which was located on the first floor at the very end of the hall. Seems like the hotel has seen better days, our room had old carpeting that was hard and uncomfortable to walk on without slippers. When we walked into our room, we were greeted with a distinct smell of musky-ness mixed with an anti-septic scent. Didn't need to use AC since it was fairly cool at night. The bathroom could have been a lot cleaner, I don't think much cleaning maintenance was given to the shower area where you can see the caulking has turned yellow and the ends of the shower curtain were also yellow. Hot water was not a problem but we didn't have any wifi access for the 2 days we were there. Also, saw Agoda has posted that the place was last renovated in 2013 which may explain the inconsistency in the condition of the rooms. When we walked down the hall, we got to see other rooms which were much better with hard wood floors and excellent sunlight. I guess not all the rooms have been renovated yet. Hotel is on the very edge of Old Bagan but the airport is only 15 min away and you can cycle into New Bagan fairly easily. While the hotel can help you book bikes/e-bikes, I recommend going down the street yourself as there will be many vendors to choose from and the price will be slightly cheaper.

Wonderful place and comfortable rooms. Only complaint would be that hallway noise was easily heard through the room doors and many people moving around early for bus tour departures made it hard to sleep after 5am.

The staff, the bicycle hire/e-bike hire, cleanliness
We enjoyed our stay at the Raza Gyo thoroughly. They recommended a superb place to eat nearby, and arranged for us to have bikes for the two days we were there- and even arranged for us to have an e-bike for our sunrise cycle! Our flight was well after check-out time and the staff let us leave our luggage there and go on a full day of touring- and then use the hotel pool after we had come back. We will more than happily stay here again.

perfect location to explore Bagan sights”
great location, very helpful staff, good food
Raza Gyo was the perfect place for us to explore the Bagan pagodas. The hotel staff was very helpful in arranging our daily trips, whether it was taxi or our own driver for the day. To have dinner in one of the several good restaurants in the New Bagan "city" center, or by the river, you have to walk for 10-20 minutes (depending on the restaurant), or rent a bike or e-bike.

Amazing staff”
Staff, hotel design and swimming pool
This hotel is outstanding for the off season price. Rooms are great and of 4 star quality. No sewage problems (as is common in Myanmar) and great amenities. The design of the hotel is cool; lots of arches, brickwork and white. Pool is also a real plus and it was clean and quiet. It is fairly close to road so you hear some road traffic but it is private. The biggest selling point for hotel are staff who are wonderful; attentative and friendly without been intrusive. We were very impressed. A few negatives are that restaurants are overpriced and a do go into town instead. Food is good here, but not worth 3 times more than prices in New Bagan. Breakfast also is mixed. If the hotel a full, then you get a brilliant buffet of Myanmar cuisine, bacon/eggs and pancakes. If the hotel is quiet, then its menu service and so you only choose one. Finally the extras here (such as bikes and taxis) are more expensive than in town but staff are relaxed and happy to look afte bikes overnight that you hired elsewhere, so its not a problem. We really liked this hotel and would definitely go back as staying here was a key component in making our trip to Bagan so great.
