Peaceful hotel on the beach ”
    food quite
Extremely difficult to get somewhere from the hotel, only very expensive tuk-tuk, no motorbike rent in the hotel or somewhere near it. Good food, maybe little bit expensive. Rooms are very basic not what can you expect for such price in SE Asia. Good and quite place if only that you need is the sea.

    Paradise in Cambodia”
The location is superb. It was also extremely quiet and clean. The staff were wonderful and prepared excellent food. What a shame they have to close.
I think my note above says it all. We stayed for five utterly peaceful days. Yes, the Ream National Park is a bit of a damp squib, but the location more than compensates.

Nice place... Beware of the owner! ”
    The location, weather, the sunset
It was an overall good stay, if a little pricey for food and drink. The location is great, very quiet beach and pretty nice sunsets everyday. The main thing that has stopped me giving this place a better score is the owner. I really disliked the way he spoke to a lot of his PAYING guests! He yelled at guests, snapped at people over breakfast and had two stand up rows with another over bills. It really is not acceptable to treat people (particularly who are paying) in this way. Unfortunately the remote location stops people from walking out.

We relaxed there. The food in there is very good. Anoying are the fantasie-prices of the tuk-tuk drivers which charged far to much.

    Quiet 2-day vacation ”
delicious homemade Italian food, friendly owner, quiet
Had a wonderful 2-day stay. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The owner was very kind and friendly. We asked what activities we could do at Ream and he gave a couple suggestions. We ended up doing a hike and he helped arranged a tuk tuk for us the next morning. We couldn't pass up the homemade Italian food so we ate Italian for dinner both nights. I absolutely loved the homemade ravioli.

Dirty and infested with mosquitoes ”
    The pier and the food
The stay was fine because we met up with lots of friends. But the house owner made every request feel like a huge favour and inconvenience to him including requests for drinks, food etc. bathroom was filthy and looked like something from a horror film. We killed 10 mosquitoes each time we entered our room. We couldn't figure out how they were entering it. It was a bizarre experience and we couldn't wait to leave. The room itself is definitely not a good value for money and the food was expensive.

Personalized service you won't get anywhere else”
1- Location- quiet, no vendors, excellent dock; 2- service unsurpassed, no nonsense; 3- FOOD- Italian for the kids, local/ seafood for adults- and they will cook to order!
Amazing! Quiet and relaxing. The national park is nothing special, but it's worth the trip to stay here away from the craziness of Sihanoukeville. I strongly recommend renting scooters in S'ville and riding - save you the $20 each way for a tuk tuk- drivers are getting pretty bold with the price increases! Simple, no frills accomodations. I enjoyed it much more than some of the higher priced places. It even has a pool table if you get bored. Several less expensive food options (locals) nearby that are also good, but for a little more, the kids can have very good spaghetti and amazing salad. Marco goes the extra mile and will customize meals depending on your desire and availability.

    Great little getaway ”
    Location, staff, food
We had a great time at the guesthouse. It is a perfect place to escape the chaos of Sihanoukville. There is a private jetty with tables and chairs where it is cool and breezy. Nice place to swim directly in front of the guesthouse. Marco will make you feel at home and he is an excellent host.

LOCATION ON THE WATER, FOOD, SERVICE
very basic rooms but very clean w/good shower. mine (the suite) had a/c. quiet. nice public areas so room just for sleeping, beautiful location with big porch overlooking the sea for dining & relaxing, there is a pier for sunset viewing. helpful friendly italian owner/host, marco, also great cambodian & italian cook. went on nice jungle trek to mt top and the riverboat ride. boat trip to islands not worth the bother. stay here rather than sihanoukville which is just for rave-intense party animals (unless you are one of these) and supposed to be dirty as well -ugh !!

Right on the beach, very friendly staff”
The manager, cook and beach location
Although somewhat expensive to get to from the airport due to its location being in the opposite direction to Sihanoukville, everything else makes up for this. The guesthouse is located right on the beachfront with its own jetty. We were served breakfast out on the sheltered jetty and it was wonderful. Great place for swimming with very few other people around. The food at the guesthouse is outstanding, both the Cambodian lady who cooks, and the Italian managers cooking of the pasta were truly wonderful. A sea breeze can be acquired in your room simply by opening the window. Staying here was a truly unique experience, with an excellent host. Well done Marco and staff!

A great week spent in this wonderful place ”
The owner Mario and our lively evening dinners, the delicious fruit salad every morning for breakfast, and the sunset view from the deck.
I stayed at Ream Beach Guesthouse with my traveller friend for a week last may and we were very happy with our choice! We were looking for a quiet place at the beach to relax and take a break from the busy touristy roads we had taken so far, and Ream Beach is a fantastic place to do so. We were not sure how long we would want to stay for when we arrived but ended up staying the whole week and had a really good time. Mario is a great host how took good care of us and made our stay so much better by helping us arrange fun activities (boat trip, snorkelling, deserted beaches), sharing lively dinners with us and cooking his famous ravioli dish that is to die for! This is without doubt the best Guesthouse we have stayed in during our month in Southeast Asia, a place where you feel at home and where you wake up every morning with an amazing view of the beach and the islands. We will be back, Mario, for sure!
