Relax in style in prague”
the red & blue design hotel prague is a very nice and affordable place to stay. we enjoyed our big double deluxe room with very nice and clean bathroom. even though it was chilly outside, it was quite warm in the room. we liked the idea to provide guests with 2 quilts for 2,and a range pillows to choose from. the service was good, receptionists were friendly and very helpful. the lobby bar is a quiet place to have a couple of drinks and to talk. it is open till midnight though, so for those who like parties i would recommend to search for a different place. the hotel has a good location, you can find a lot of nice restaurants within 15 mins walk. it was also close to hop-on-off tour bus stop to continue our tour around the city. the hotel provides with breakfast if you want to have one. they can help you with a transfer to the airport, and the price is good.
Trendy and walking distance to the sights”
We arrived in Prague via the train from Vienna and hopped on a trolley to get to the hotel. The hotel was about a 5 minute uphill walk from the trolley stop. The positive is that when you left the hotel for the day it was downhill. The hotel is across the street from a beautiful park and in October the autumn leaves were just stunning. The park was our view from our room and I couldn't stop snapping pictures. We went with another couple and the husband woke up for early morning runs and found lots of hidden treasures in the park. The hotel room was very clean and free wifi was available in the room. Each room is designed in either red or blue. We got a blue room and it was perfect for our 3 night stay. We also had free breakfast with our stay. The breakfast had a good variety of options to get the day started just right. Assortment of fresh cold cuts with rolls, pastries, sausage, eggs, and many juices, teas, and coffees to choose from. The hotel was very helpful in planning any last minute tours and calling companies on our behalf to find out details. They also helped us book a private car to go to the airport on our last day. The best part of this hotel was that it was about a 15-20 minute walk from the major sights (Charles Bridge and the surrounding area). We didn't have to use the public transportation to get anywhere during our stay. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner and only offers breakfast.
Our stay at Red & Blue Design Hotel Prague was excellent. After travelling around Europe for a month the large room and bathroom sizes and impeccable cleanliness was a welcome change. The spoken English of the reception staff was impeccable and they were more than willing to help with any questions we had.
we spent 3 nights with red & blue design hotel prague. there were 3 of us so we booked the double deluxe - 1 double bed and 1 single bed. it was great to have a separate corner for the single bed. the design and colour of the room was superb and we loved it. the hotel has a 24 hr reception service, which was particularly important as we visited prague during the winter. we arrived at the hotel after 10pm. it certainly was welcoming to have a friendly staff greeting us at the hotel lobby. the hotel is located about 10-15 mins walk from charles bridge. during the summer months a 10-15 mins walk would not be too bad. however, it would be a downside to walk the distance during the cold winter months.
Quality and luxury at affordable rates”
We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday and anniversary. From start to finsh this hotel made my first trip to Prague even more beautiful and memorable. Yes its not right in the city centre but you dont get the same size or quality room as this at the same price if you were. Its only a 10-15 minute walk to the main centre or a 3 minute walk to a tram stop and 5 minutes to the centre on the tram. We enjoyed the walking more than I thought and we also found the trams easy, cheap and super reliable. Number 6 or 9 into old town and 22 for the Castle. We stayed in room 501 which was a superior deluxe room. It was magnificent and very quiet as our windows (which opened properly!!) looked out to the back. The hotel very kindly upgraded us to this room and I am so happy they did! Our room was large and had everything we needed. There were ample plugpoints, mirrors in the room and bathroom, hairdryer, safe, minifridge/bar, a desk, chair and sofas. We found all the staff to be superb in their manner and how professional they were especially the front desk and bar staff. I would return to this hotel if i ever visited Prague again.
Great location, great atmosphere, great staff..”
This was my 7th visit to Prague and this time I tried to be away from Central(so called touristc areas). Firstly, this hotel is not located in Central, however, Prauge has its renowned tranport system and the location is not a problem at all. Actually we were very much satisfied with the location. It's very quite at night and has a park to walk in the morning. Funicular stop to Petrin tower is just 200 yards away. St. Nicholas church which is the start walking point to Charles Bridge & Prague Castle could be reached by 15 mins' walk(or 2 tram stops). Finding a nice/local/good value for money restaurant and dining such restaurants during your stay would be all travellers dream. Yes. This is the right hotel for that. We mainly depends on TA rankings wherever we travel and there are many around it. I will leave a review in travel tips regarding restaurants.
Awesome service & locality; facility was amazing”
Red & Blue Design Hotel is located very close to the river and Petrin Park, and is at a walkable distance from most other major attractions in the city. The rooms are very spacious and the staff very friendly. It had really well maintained and spacious bathrooms. The free internet and the great breakfast that they provide are just an icing on the cake. Another thing to note was that the parking area around the hotel is available free of charge for non-residents as well, making it very easy to park closer to the hotel premises.
we really enjoyed our stay at the red and blue design hotel. the staff where very friendly and made us very welcome. if i went to prague i would stay there again.
Nice location, helpful staff”
i stayed at this hotel for two nights. Veryglad that i chose this hotel. Very near to historical places like royal gardens. Easy approach to high street in Prague 1 by foot. Spacious and cozy rooms, clean and luxurious toilets, great breakfast and the most important very helpful front desk staff to help you organize yur trip in prague. free parking is easy to find outside hotel. Hotel arking costs 15 euro a day. Would definitely recommend this hoteland will definitely stay here in my next visit. wifi is slow. Needs more bandwidth.
Obliging staff, a beautiful room, great breakfast and quiet location easily accessible by tram.”
Red and Blue Design Hotel was an entirely positive experience. Would recommend it to anyone and worth a trip to Prague just to stay there again.
Lovely design and service”
We were visiting Prague for our honeymoon and were satisfy with the hotel in general. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was delicious and the service was great. It's about 20 minute walk from old town but there is the tram stop right down the street from the hotel so it was convenient. The only thing I had to complain about is the AC as it never got as cold as we wanted to. I probably will look for a different hotel if I go back but if you're looking something with a great price, this hotel will be tough to beat
They provided accomodation in their another hotel”
when we came to red&blue it appeared that they do not have available rooms!! and they proposed accomodation in their another hotel, w..... design hotel, location koubkova 12, prague 2, they provided free transfer and we found the alternative even better in terms of location, room was quite good, modern style. service - good, breakfast -not good, served to the room since the hotel did not have its own restaurant, very basic and similar each day.
this hotel is absolutely fantastic...walking distance to charles bridge and all the other attractions in prague. i cannot fault this hotel in any way. wifi is perfect, the rooms are large, clean, very well appointed, bathroom huge and beautiful, bed extremely comfortable. the breakfast is to die for too. the only problem for us was the weather, which obviously was not the hotel's fault :-) so staying in a bit more than going out was quite nice...we stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and could have easily stayed 5 weeks!!
Weekend in Prague ”
For this price hotel is perfect. It situated near all main points of view for tourists. On reception work perfect stuff. Jan help us in all our questions! Best regards to him. We never visit one city twice, but at that time, decided to visit Prague again on Christmas and we take the same hotel! Good luck and wish you all the best! Cons: Price, location, stuff Pros: NO
great hotel in a quiet location”
The hotel had very nice new and clean rooms in the quiet part of town. All attractions are within walking distace or you can always take the tram which was just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel staff was always very helpful. Buffet breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend the hotel to friends visiting Prague.
a comfortable stay”
my and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights and we had a great time. around 20 mins walk from the main touristic centre in prague (the charles bridge), the hotel is in a good location. the room we stayed in was spacious enough to leave us room to relax, had a great view over the city and had great decor. the service was always friendly and prompt, and we would come back again
Clean hotel near tram stop and opposite lovely park”
When we arrived we were sent to another hotel a few doors away. Apparently it's a new hotel chevron by red and blue. The decor was black and white and not the Red and Blue hotel we saw in photos. It had no dining room or bar in it and was very basic but we were able to access the Red and Blue hotels small dining facilities . The rooms were clean but unfinished. The skirting boards were not completed there was no bedside lights and no mirrors in room. The workmen were banging at 7 in morning. However everything was new and It will look nice when finshed.
Good location with terrific breakfast offered”
Just 15 minutes from the metro station Andel. 5 minutes from the tram station which can lead you to most of the sightseeing attractions of Prague! Staff are friendly and very helpful! Computer can be used juz besides the reception desk 24-7. They even help us to book and print bus voucher! Lovely breakfast with lots of choice, I bet you can spend an hour to enjoy your breakfast time there !
Great value for money”
One of the best hotels in prague - Very clean and no hassle hotel. Great Value for money and very near to all the attractions. Very comfortable - good for business travellers. I am a repeat customer.
Excellent value for money”
was fantastic. Real value for money. Clean rooms and a big bathroom. The staff was very friendly and would go back again to this hotel when next time in prague
