Location tip top. But due to the old building's condition limited facilities in house can be provided.
Pro: Beautiful modern room with all the necessities such as hangers, safe, fridge, night lite etc... Bathroom has large bath and plenty of toiletries. Extra clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. Tram at 6-8 minutes walk. Con: A little bit remote and far from the action. Only a few restaurants open at night.
This hotel was great for what we wanted. It was about a 20 minutes downhill walk to the city centre and there were shops and restaurants along the way. The staff spoke fluent English and were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and spacious and had all the amenities you could need. Originally we hadn't booked breakfast but the staff were happy for us to have it out of convenience on the second morning as it was a buffet and it wasn't much more to add to our bill. Would recommend this place! :)
Good value for money hotel”
The hotel was only 10 minutes walk from the Charles bridge and the Lennon wall. It is out of the main tourist areas so it's quieter and there are a lot of good restaurants around it. Would recommend it for a stay in Prague. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful
Next to Petrin Hill”
We stayed for 3 nights. Overall of staying was good. Except attitude of people who live there it seem little bit scary for us. Because it seem they alway want to rip off tourist whenever they have a chance. Especially in illegal way especially by taxi driver. So, don't ever never catch a taxi by calling from the street because they will double charge you or even do something worse than double charge you. Luckily we know before we go there. So, we never catch a taxi from there. We take just public transportation only. For the hotel, room was spacious which has a big couch in the room and next to public park called "Petrin hill" you can walk up there if you are strong enough or you can catch a cog wheel up there. Breakfast was ok not fantastic. Cleaning was good. Service was excellent from staff. They'll provide useful information for you.
Helpful staff, good location ”
The biggest room we have in our trip. Free Wifi. Good location near the castle and Charles bridge. We walked back and forth everyday. The staff is very helpful. We got problem with Toll sticker for driving on motorway. We bought from the post for 10-day type. The post office staff made the validation date wrong. We bought it in Dec, she made it Nov. If we didn't check, we might get heavy fine from the police. And the staff there didn't speak English very well. So we came back to the hotel and ask for their help. The front office staff, she wrote us a note in Czech language, just in case, the post office staff didn't understand the situation. However, it solved by the post issued us the new sticker without showing that note, they were helpful as well.
Good location with terrific breakfast offered”
Just 15 minutes from the metro station Andel. 5 minutes from the tram station which can lead you to most of the sightseeing attractions of Prague! Staff are friendly and very helpful! Computer can be used juz besides the reception desk 24-7. They even help us to book and print bus voucher! Lovely breakfast with lots of choice, I bet you can spend an hour to enjoy your breakfast time there !
Great all-around hotel”
Of almost 30 or so hotels I have stayed in during my Europe travels, this hotel has been the best. The great reviews are well-deserved. Location was great (9 tram connects to the main railway stn, 20 connects to Charles Bridge and castle area). View of the old city from my room was picturesque (6th floor). Staff were efficient, helpful, and friendly. And I absolutely loved the simple but tasty breakfast spread. Rooms were stylish, spacious, and clean. So above average marks in just about every category.
great hotel in a quiet location”
The hotel had very nice new and clean rooms in the quiet part of town. All attractions are within walking distace or you can always take the tram which was just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel staff was always very helpful. Buffet breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend the hotel to friends visiting Prague.
Great location, great atmosphere, great staff..”
This was my 7th visit to Prague and this time I tried to be away from Central(so called touristc areas). Firstly, this hotel is not located in Central, however, Prauge has its renowned tranport system and the location is not a problem at all. Actually we were very much satisfied with the location. It's very quite at night and has a park to walk in the morning. Funicular stop to Petrin tower is just 200 yards away. St. Nicholas church which is the start walking point to Charles Bridge & Prague Castle could be reached by 15 mins' walk(or 2 tram stops). Finding a nice/local/good value for money restaurant and dining such restaurants during your stay would be all travellers dream. Yes. This is the right hotel for that. We mainly depends on TA rankings wherever we travel and there are many around it. I will leave a review in travel tips regarding restaurants.
Great hotel ”
Very well decorated, great location, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Nice looking room, but I had specifically asked for a quiet one. Was given one right outside the lift, so I got woken up every time someone used the lift by talking and suitcases being dragged in and out. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy too, but on my second night I had to leave this on (+ bathroom light as they turned on together) in order not to have to hear the noise from outside the room so much. Barely slept for the 2 nights I was there. Had it been quieter it would have been fine. Reception staff are pleasant.
Weekend in Prague ”
For this price hotel is perfect. It situated near all main points of view for tourists. On reception work perfect stuff. Jan help us in all our questions! Best regards to him. We never visit one city twice, but at that time, decided to visit Prague again on Christmas and we take the same hotel! Good luck and wish you all the best! Cons: Price, location, stuff Pros: NO
Obliging staff, a beautiful room, great breakfast and quiet location easily accessible by tram.”
Red and Blue Design Hotel was an entirely positive experience. Would recommend it to anyone and worth a trip to Prague just to stay there again.
Great hotel experience, great breakfast selection, great clean room
Very good friendly staff, good quite location & spotlessly clean
Very nice place to stay in Prague. Quiet rooms and comfortable bed.
Overall stay was great. Hotel is near the city center and tourist spots and it's also near the tram and bus stops. Staff who checked us in (I forgot her name) was very friendly and helpful. She even recommended a great local restaurant (Meduzzy) which was affordable and the food was just awesome. Room was big and clean and quiet even though our room was facing the street & park. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again.
More than we expected!”
I would recommend the Hotel to everyone. Very comfortable bed, very clean, perfect location next to the tramway and to the parc, nice hotel view (we had a room on the 6th floor), tasty and various breakfast.
Location was fantastic. Quiet, peaceful, across from a large park, short and beautiful walk to all the attractions (Charles Bridge, Old Town), great restaurants very nearby. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel was immaculately clean. Comfortable bed. Air conditioner worked very well, which was a must! I have absolutely no complaints.
